TLDR – What’s The Verdict On The Blog To Book Strategy?
The Blog To Book Strategy is pretty self-explanatory – you take existing posts from your own blog, and turn them into Amazon books or Kindle eBooks! George Kao recommends this because it saves you time and makes it easier to get your books out there.
It fits with his motto for this business model: “Please publish sooner.”
That’s probably music to your ears.
After all, the self-publishing model is all about saving yourself time and hassle from going through traditional publishing companies.
Typically, there are two kinds of people who are interested in heading down this path: aspiring authors who wanna get their work out there, and then there are those just wanna make some big money online!
However, it’s important to know that these two are very different reasons, and George Kao’s course is not for everyone.
If you’re a passionate author who really wants to create some new, powerful art…this probably isn’t for you. George is better than some other courses out there in my opinion, but he is more interested in your book “sounding” professional instead of actually being a great piece of literary work.
You’re just gonna be rehashing old blog posts you wrote – not a whole lotta art in that, right?
So since the course is only for folks who wanna make more money online, you’ve gotta make sure this is really the best way to do that…
…and I’m just not sold on it yet.
After all, Amazon has been cracking down more and more on these kind of generic, low-quality informational books for a while now. A lot of these courses (like The Mikkelsen Twins) actually encourage you to hire cheap, foreign workers to patch together uncopyrighted material and throw it out there.
Or, since technology is shifting, sometimes they’ll even tell you to get AI to do it for you!
I do give credit to George Kao in that he doesn’t seem to recommend all that, although he does seem to recommend outsourcing for putting the book’s layout together. But his approach of copy/pasting blog posts doesn’t seem much better in my opinion.
Great books are written with a specific style, a specific approach…usually a reader can tell when something is just a compilation instead of a true story with a proper arc to it.
And if Amazon thinks you’re just churning out generic content for money, they might ban your account overnight.
If you’re gonna try to make some money online, you should do it in a way that’s safer, with more upside, and brings in consistent income for you!
Digital Leasing covers all that and more.
With their business model, you just steer clients toward local businesses, and those businesses come back to you each and every month ready to stack cash in your hand!
Way better than trying to trick people into reading some crammed-together blog posts.
The students seem extremely passionate about what they’re doing – not just getting by, but creating their own future.
That said, if you’d like to hear some more about my George Kao review, let’s keep on rolling.
Who Benefits From George Kao…And Who Doesn’t?
Area | Score | Description |
---|---|---|
Time Investment | 2/5 | Takes a long time to send out thousands of emails. |
Level of Control | 2/5 | You’re relying on a very low rate of click success, which is almost gambling. |
Ease of Implementation | 2/5 | It’s easy to do, technically, but can wear on you. |
Profit Potential | 3/5 | Lead generation has big upside, but relying too much on paid ads and email marketing complicates things. |
Sometimes you find a sweet business model, but the guru just doesn’t fit your vibes. Other times, you see a catchy ad from a cool guru…but then you realize their program just doesn’t make any sense for what you’re trying to do.
Finding the right mix can be hard!
So, let’s dig into some ways you might be able to figure out if the BtB Strategy works for you.
George Kao might be for you if…
- You’ve got a ton of blog posts piled up
- You’ve done a lot of work on Amazon before, so you know the infrastructure
- You’re not really into the art of writing anyway
On the other hand, it probably doesn’t make sense to join if…
- You find enough free YouTube tips on how to self-publish
- You can’t find any reviews on George’s program, and it makes you nervous
- You really wanna publish high-quality, brand-new books
Blog To Book Strategy At A 1,000 FT View
Self publishing is an attractive business model to many authors who have struggled to get corporate publishing boards to approve their work over the years, but this is a relatively new approach for entrepreneurs who just wanna make some money online.
I’d hope that students and newcomers to the game have at least some interest in writing or reading books before trying it out, but it seems like that’s not necessarily required by folks like George Kao.
As much as there are upsides to self-publishing like control over your own destiny, there are still a bunch of hoops to jump through. For example, most gurus will advise you to build up a network within their program with other authors, where you all trade positive reviews with each other.
Sometimes they will even recommend you start up your own book blog, so you can double-down and plug each other’s work even further.
Before diving headfirst into all that, I strongly recommend you check out Amazon’s review policy, as they are well aware of the whole “book blogs” method of artificially boosting reviews, and they REALLY don’t like people trying to game their system.
Amazon has come under fire for selling lower and lower quality material on their site, so the algorithm has stepped up a notch to keep up with these programs gaming the system.
And with technology advancing all the time, it will only get more difficult.
Frankly, I’m just not sure how much upside is here, either. These books don’t really sell for much money, meaning your profit margins aren’t gonna leave much room for error. And if you’ve seen George’s own Amazon page, he only has 4 books out there, and none of them seem to be selling much (very little reviews).
But don’t worry, I won’t leave ya hanging.
If you just wanna score a nice payday online so you can spend more time with friends and family, then you need to check out Digital Leasing.
Why waste time playing cat-and-mouse with the Amazon algorithm, when you can kill it with local lead generation instead?
Instead of begging people to give you fake reviews all day, these companies come to YOU, ready to hand out more cash than you can handle.
Who Is George Kao?
After graduation from University of California Berkley in 2005, it seems like George Kao didn’t really know how or where to apply his marketing skills.
But in 2009, he finally settled on taking control of his own career and deciding to become a mentor.
You can find him on his website, Amazon, or across other social media like YouTube where he’s actually posted videos all the way back since 2006!
I think what makes Kao different is his “zen”-style approach to the guru game. Where you’ll usually see coaches shouting all kinda mantras like “THINK IT, DREAM IT, DO IT”, George comes at it from a way different angle.
From his own website:
“The values that inspire me: generosity, warm-heartedness, diligence, humility, light-heartedness, gentleness, balance, and authenticity.”
His social media indicates he’s now based out of Las Vegas, so it’s even more impressive if he’s able to keep a level head out there in such a wild city.
How Much Does Blog To Book Strategy Cost?
So, how much does the Blog To Book Strategy cost?
One of the strongest points of George Kao’s course is his price – it’s pretty cheap at only $150, meaning you won’t have wasted a ton of time by giving it a shot.
His 1-on-1 coaching likely costs more, but it seems like he’s doing less of that these days anyway.
George Kao’s Refund Policy
There is no indication of any refund policy on George’s website, but at such a cheap cost, it’s not like you’re gonna be down tens of thousands of dollars like with other programs.
Personal Opinion On The Blog To Book Strategy
After going through tons of programs over the years, sometimes the bad ones are really obvious, and other times the great ones truly stand out.
But what about the in-between?
Those are the tricky things. For example, I think George Kao seems like a solid guy, but I have major question marks about his business model.
So, how do we find the right course for you?
- Take a look around for reviews from former students
- Check out the guru’s vibe to see if they line up with you
- Think about your future, and if you see yourself doing this forever
Like I said, I do think George is probably a decent man.
In fact, here are 3 things I like about the course:
- You get a down-to-earth guru who keeps it real
- If you have a ton of blogs already out there, it’s conceivable you could make some money
- Very low cost, so it doesn’t take much to try it out
…and, on the other hand, 3 things I don’t really like:
- Co-ordinating fake reviews from other students seems unethical
- Some students may prefer a more upbeat, intense guru who kicks their butt
- Amazon is cracking down on these kind of books

“Blog to Book Strategy scam” is always popping up in searches these days.
But does that mean George Kao is really running a scam?
Probably not.
It likely just means a lot of people are searching that up to make sure they’re not wasting any time or money with his program – heck, it might even be why you’re reading this on something called ScamRisk!
George Kao is not gonna rip you off and provide nothing for your money. You’re likely to get exactly what he says you will – some decent instruction on how to patch together low-quality books to make money on Amazon.
That said, I still don’t think the business model is a good idea.
If George can barely sell his own books on there (there aren’t a ton of reviews), then that means you’re gonna have an even harder time with less experience and less of a social media presence.
And like I’ve said before, even if you start a little mini-empire of selling your blog posts off as books, Amazon really doesn’t like this kind of thing. Even if they don’t catch you right away, it’s likely that as their algorithms advance, they will get even better at filtering this kind of content out.
If you’re really a passionate author who wants to self-publish, then you need to find a mentor who is actually a passionate, creative writer who can help you with that.
This ain’t it.
But if you’re just looking for some passive income, then I’ll direct you over to Digital Leasing, where you don’t have to worry about Jeff Bezos’ huge corporation striking you down at any moment.
Instead of waking up with anxiety and fear every morning over your account, you’ll wake up to your bank account growing overnight.
It’s pretty much recession-proof, or “evergreen” as some folks call it. Because think about it, while most industries get destroyed when the markets crash, what’s one thing that will never go out of demand?
Nope, not toilet paper…okay, that too.
But I’m talking about customers. They’re the most reliable thing to sell, and with local lead generation, that product will always be in demand.
What’s Inside The Blog To Book Strategy?
George Kao’s program is a little on the light side, but you can’t expect too much for a low cost like what he charges.
That said, you’ll still get a few different features:
Templates
George provides all kinds of templates where you can “fill in the blanks” as a model of how to build your own books.
Walkthrough Videos
This one is pretty obvious – videos by George, walking you through the templates and tips on how to keep the negative reviews away – and who to turn to for positive ones!
Access to the Student Directory
This is that student network I mentioned earlier, where everyone gives feedback…but mostly you’re gonna be asking each other for positive reviews to inflate your Amazon rating.
Private Facebook Group
This seems like the same thing as above – access to your fellow students who are doing the same things as you. A little redundant.
2 Group Q&A Calls
You get 2 calls with George himself (as part of a group), so you’d better make ’em count! You can try to get some 1-on-1 coaching from him as well, but it sounds like tries to avoid those sessions these days.
Conclusion Of My George Kao Review
So, should you send your money over to fund The Blog To Book Strategy?
I wouldn’t.
It just doesn’t make sense any way you slice it.
Either you’re a creative writer and this course is all about making money from low-quality content, or you’re trying to make passive income from something that doesn’t really offer a lot of money unless you spend tons of time and money on it.
It’s nothing personal against George Kao, as he seems like a decent, genuine guru.
That said, you need to get down to something that is proven, recession-proof, and without all the extra problems that come along with trying to outrun the Amazon algorithm.
Digital Leasing is the right move right now. It’s still got plenty of room before it gets too saturated, and it should stay that way for a while since it’s all local lead generation – and that means your competition is immediately smashed down to a reasonable size.
There’s tons of opportunity here for you to go out and snag that financial freedom you’re after, where you can actually spend more time with friends and family, and less time worrying about your future – because you’ll be in control of it.
What Is My #1 Way To Make Money Online in 2024?
I have spent years researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.
While there may be no “perfect business,” the research IS conclusive:
Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.
Whether you’ve never made a dollar online or been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.
Why?
1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full-time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.
And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.
Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.
This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.
2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With The Blog To Book course, you don’t really own anything. You have no control over the quality of products when you just copy and past old blogs together. And since you’re giving all your control to Amazon after that, you don’t even own your “business”.
Amazon can (and does) kick off tons of self-publishers who try to game their system through these kind of courses all the time.
With Digital Leasing, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.
3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket…even before you do any work.
Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.
4) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple of keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).
Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 monthly in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.
Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.
If you wanted to double your income with self-publishing, you’d probably need to double the number of hours you spend working. Because, again, this way of writing books doesn’t scale.
It would take a lot more hustling, and even if you put out a lot of books all at once – that might actually trigger Amazon’s algorithm and ban your account!
5) Make Money Helping Real People: With Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:
Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.
You make money by helping them make money.
Not a big, faceless corporation either…a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.
Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.
On the other hand, you’re just re-hashing old blog posts and asking other students to lie and give you fake reviews without even reading your book.
Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like George Kao’s program which could one day make you money.
You could continue researching, never making a decision.
OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms, thanks to Digital Leasing.
A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.
All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.
