The Mikkelsen Twins Review ([year] Update): Can You Still Make Money On Amazon?

Introduction: The Mikkelsen Twins Review

The Mikkelsen Twins are pair of brothers out of New Jersey, named Christian and Rasmus. They've built up a popular program with shifting names over the years, but it seems like they're finally going to stick with a great domain find: Publishing.com.

You probably found out about these guys somewhere on social media when they hit you up with one of their ad videos, promising a cool new path to financial freedom online. And now you're here trying to figure out which Mikkelsen Twins review actually offers some decent advice.

Well, lucky for you, I've been grinding out articles like this for years to see who's legit and who's not. It doesn't matter the industry, either - digital marketing, dropshipping, or self-publishing gurus like Fiction Profits Academy.

And it makes sense why you're here: the economy sucks. People are barely getting by, and you want out of that 9-5 ASAP, right? Totally get it.

So I'm gonna do my part to walk you through what the Mikkelsen Twins have to offer, how much it'll all cost ya, and we'll check out any decent alternatives out there.

Now, let's get into this Mikkelsen Twins review!

DISCLAIMER:

This Mikkelsen Twins review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • Christian and Rasmus have been at this for years, which means they have some idea of what they're talking about.
  • You get more control when it comes to self-publishing, which means you don't have to worry about impressing a bunch of fat cats in suits.
  • Trustpilot has some decent reviews, which means they've either impressed their students, or they offer great incentives to leave favorable reviews.
CONS
  • It's super easy to get your account banned on Amazon, meaning all your time and money would be wasted.
  • You're going to be instructed to pay for AI software to ghost-write a cheap, low-quality book - which means the Mikkelsen Twins are more interested in earning a dollar than making art.
  • Outside of Trustpilot, most reviews on the Mikkelsens are pretty rough, which means things might not be as easy as they seem.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - What's The Verdict On Mikkelsen Twins Audible?

What Is Publishing About.png

Straight to the point: is it worth your money to learn the Mikkelsen Twins' Audible lessons?

Probably not.

There are some former students out there who straight up call them scammers, but I don't think it's that bad. They're gaming the system of online publishing, which I don't really like as someone who sees the value in quality writing. If you're here to finally get your artistic spirit free, this ain't it.

If you're confused on where you've heard of these guys before, you might have heard of their online course under a different name like:

The name of their umbrella company used to be called Audiobook Income Academy, but is now known as Publishing.com, and their main program is called AI Publishing Academy.

The big difference now is that they fired all their foreign writers, and now charge their students to use their own AI software that specializes in churning out quick non-fiction books.

These programs always carried risk of Amazon banning their account due to low-quality, high-quantity books (Christian and Rasmus Mikkelsen themselves have been banned), but now that risk may be even higher with the elite levels of AI-detection in place.

I don't necessarily want to root for Jeff Bezos for any reason, but it really seems like the Mikkelson Twins are just trying to dilute the quality of books on his website, so I don't blame him.

But can you make money with this program?

Yeah, as long as your account survives, this seems to be a proven method of making at least a few bucks here and there. You'll just have to care more about money than writing, but in that case there are a ton of better options out there for you.

I think a safer option is Digital Leasing, where you actually do businesses a favor instead of trying to trick people into buying your barely-readable eBooks.

Quality reviews are already rolling in for this new thing, so I'd recommend striking while the iron is hot.

Digital Leasing Legit

That said, if you'd like to hear some more about our Publishing.com review, let's keep on rolling.

Who Benefits From Publishing.com...And Who Doesn't?

AreaScoreDescription
Time Investment2/5AI saves time, but also can get your account in trouble and waste time with Amazon.
Level of Control2/5You can input prompts, but you have no control of your account being flagged if you self-publish with the twins.
Ease of Implementation4/5While the quality won't be there, this is definitely one of the easier ways to write a book.
Profit Potential1/5Oversaturated, easy to run into issues.

Who exactly benefits from what the Mikkelsen Twins are bringing to the table?

They might be for you if...

  1. You really like using AI
  2. You've had success with sites like Amazon or Skup before
  3. You don't really care about the art of writing

On the other hand, it probably doesn't make sense to join if...

  1. You think that you can find the same tips on YouTube for free
  2. You noticed there are a lot of negative reviews out there, and it concerns you
  3. You're a true author, and want to focus on quality over quantity

The Mikkelsen Twins At A 1,000 FT View

The world of self-publishing has its ups and downs like every other industry. It appeals to many writers who are sick of all the stuck up people wearing suits, deciding if their story can be heard or not.

Sometimes publishers will want to change a story because they think a joke is politically incorrect, or they'll want you to change the whole thing to the way they want it...but that's the death of art!

However, there are downsides. Those publishers are all rich for a reason, and it's because they have a ton of contacts who can get the right marketing done, as well as reviews at big time news outlets and TV stations.

And I still think the worst part about self-publishing the way the Mikkelsen Twins teach you is that your account can get banned at any time.

If you're just looking to make some big money, then I recommend looking into the success stories within the Lead generation industry. Instead of playing games with the Amazon eBook algorithm, you're bringing customers to businesses, and a big stack of cash is your reward.

Heck, if you ARE an aspiring author who really wants to self-publish high-quality books but are worried about marketing...then you could use lead generation to push people toward your stories, without the risk of getting your account banned!

Some companies do lead generation better than others, by the way, so be sure to find the right mentor for you - no matter what the industry.

Who Are The Mikkelsen Twins?

mikkelsen-twins-who-are-they.jpg.webp

Rasmus and Christian Mikkelsen - well known as "The Mikkelsen Twins" were born and raised out in New Jersey, and came from humble beginnings.

They started out having no interest in art or anything like that. In fact, they were delivering Chinese food to make a few bucks while going to a community college...things weren't looking great.

But when they realized how much they hated the idea of the 9-5, they did some research and figured out a lucrative loophole in Amazon's eBook sales program.

mikkelsen twins image change

Ever since then, they've expanded from Kindle to Audible, making money online with the help of foreign workers who put together copy/pasted non-fiction books for cheap.

At first, this seemed like a really easy and unstoppable method, but it seems like Amazon has figured some good ways to screen out low-quality books...so we'll see what their future holds with their new approach - firing the foreign workers, and using AI to generate even more books!

How Much Does Publishing.com Cost?

Publishing Cost

The Mikkelsens used to charge $1,995, but they must be doing well, as they've recently hiked it all the way up to $6,000!

This makes it harder for everyone to be able to join their program, but they do offer installment plans.

After all these accusations of making sketchy books and gaming the system...

...are the Mikkelsen Twins legit?

They're not breaking any crimes that I'm aware of, if that's what you mean.

I don't think it's very ethical, and I think they really need to come up with some tips and tricks for their students to not lose their investments by getting they accounts removed on Amazon.

The other thing to consider is that AI detection bots are getting very good at figuring out who's real and who's not...which doesn't bode well for the twins' new AI-writing model.

I still think you should try out Digital Leasing, since you're not risking anything - you just have to help businesses bring some clients in, and they'll love working with you. Way better than waking up with anxiety every morning, wondering if Jeff Bezos has knocked out your account.

Personal Opinion On The Mikkelsen Twins?

Is Self Publishing Worth It is Publishing.com legit

I've done a lot of research over the years, so I've got a good idea by now of which programs work and which don't.

But the real question is...how do we find the right course for you?

  • Check out reviews from former students
  • See if the course guru has passion for what they're doing
  • Make sure it's a timeless industry, so you don't have to find a new path in a year

The Mikkelsen Twins could use a lot of work on their program.

But to be fair, here are 3 things I like about the course:

  1. They've got rich through this loophole, so they know how it's done
  2. If you can keep your Amazon account alive, you could make some money
  3. They've told their students to give some great reviews on Trustpilot

...and, on the other hand, 3 things I don't really like:

  1. There is a whole segment of their program where they train their students to write fake reviews for each other
  2. The program just got way more expensive
  3. Very limited refund policy

What's Inside AI Publishing Academy?

Inside AI Publishing Academy

The Mikkelsens seem to constantly come up with new names for their courses, but they've basically always been the same.

However, AI Publishing Academy might actually have a few concepts that make it different from the other ones. The course has always been about finding the easiest way possible to sell a book, like copy and pasting other people's existing work, or hiring foreign workers to do it for cheap.

Now, you'll be feeding instructions to AI and hoping for the best.

Let's dig into the modules and figure out what's actually going on inside this program.

Module 1

This one keeps it simple, with some important mindset training to keep you focused.

Module 2

  • AI training guide
  • The "Ultimate Prompt Sheet"
  • Other tips on how to use ChatGPT

These points are all basically the same thing.

Module 3

This one zones in on more that AI can help you with:

  • Come up with a book outline
  • Customer research
  • Book title creation

Module 4

This one is just more in-depth discussion of the AI helping to design your book's cover and outline, which seems a little redundant after Module 3 already went over it.

Module 5

One controversial part of their course is how the Mikkelsen Twins openly push a website called Pubby to encourage fake reviews between students. This way, they'll all manipulate Amazon's algorithm, pushing each others' crappy books further up lists.

Are you seeing why Amazon is cracking down on this stuff, yet?

You'll also figure out how to use Amazon Seller Central, the back-end of the store you'll be selling from.

Bonuses

These aren't really bonuses, but "bonuses" sounds better than "things you were gonna have to pay for anyway and that's why they charge an extra $4,000 now".

Publishing.ai is the main feature here, the Mikkelsen Twins' own AI software that specializes in making Amazon audiobooks.

Here are a few other features you'll get with your $6,000 purchase:

  • Private Facebook group for fake review planning
  • Kickstarter training to get people to give you money to write bad books
  • Tech training
  • Tips on how to avoid taxes, which is their coolest feature yet
  • Audio Income Academy access, which seems to be their old version of this course
  • It says you get 500 bucks, but it's not clear if you just get it or if you have to do a few things

The Mikkelson Twins: Conclusion

So, should you be donating your money to the Mikkelsen Twins?

No, it just doesn't make sense.

If you're a really passionate author, then these guys aren't gonna help you write and publish a thoughtful book - it's just not apart of the business model.

And if you're just looking to make money online, then this is one of the riskier ideas these days. Maybe years ago when they first figured out the loophole, it made sense. But now? You're gonna lose your account, and all the work you put into it.

Make it easier on yourself.

Try out some lead generation online courses instead, make sure you get a mature, seasoned expert teaching it, and go actually make a difference for businesses around you.

If you want that kind of upside and freedom, then there's one company I think does it best.

What Is My #1 Way To Make Money Online in 2024?

Digital Leasing

I have spent years researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business,” the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online or been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

Why?

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full-time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With The Mikkelsen Twins, you don’t really own anything. You have no control over the quality of products when you give all the power to AI. And since you're giving all your power to AI and Amazon, you don’t even own your “business”.

Amazon can and does kick off tons of self-publishers who try to game their system through the lessons the Mikkelsen twins teach.

With Digital Leasing, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket...even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.

4) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple of keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 monthly in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with self-publishing, you’d probably need to double the number of hours you spend working. Because, again, Publishing.com doesn’t scale.

It would take a lot more hustling, and even if you put out a lot of books all at once - that might actually trigger Amazon's algorithm and ban your account!

5) Make Money Helping Real People: With Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either...a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

On the other hand, the Mikkelsen twins are just teaching you how to waste people's time with AI books that don't make any sense, propped up by fake reviews.

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like The Mikkelsen Twins which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms, thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
