TLDR – What’s The Verdict On Setter Academy?
Daphne Kroeze’s Setter Academy program is not the most common type of course you’ll see out there. I see tons of affiliate marketing courses, or MLMs that draw in a ton of people…
…but an appointment setter course? It’s kind of rare.
That said, online programs need appointment setters if they want sales – and believe me, all companies need sales. So you’ll be entering a field where demand does exist, and Daphne thinks she can elevate your game and make you one of the best appointment setters out there.
It’s not clear how much experience she really has in the world of appointment setting, but she has gained steam for her social media presence all the same.
I’d say the most obvious differentiator to her program is that you have to have XX chromosomes to join!
That’s right, if you are a man, you are not allowed to join Daphne’s program. Now, I don’t know how legal this actually is these days, but even if you are a man and she is forced to allow you to sign up, something tells me you may not get the most positive attention from the coaches.
But for the women reading this, you may get something out of this, if you strongly prefer the company of other women and the way a female guru may communicate things to you.
The big danger with this is that an appointment setter does have to engage with prospective customers, and a lot of those customers might end up being men! So if you’ve only learned how to communicate and deal with one of the sexes, then you may be doing yourself a disservice.
The other issue I can think of is that Daphne is very much a Dutch speaker – a lot of her social media presence and videos appear to involve her students all speaking Dutch as well. So…this might be a deal-breaker for a lot of you reading this.
But don’t worry: I won’t leave you hanging.
If you don’t really care about appointment setting, but you DO want an online community where you can learn all kinds of upside plays on how to make a ton of money with way more stability…

The internet is a weird place.
Sometimes you see an ad by a really fun and interactive guru, but then you realize their business model is basically nonsense and unprofitable. Other times, you find a “can’t-miss “industry, and then somehow every guru you stumble onto finds a way to make it bad!
There are tons of programs hyping themselves up as the best out there, but choosing the wrong one could change your life for all the wrong reasons.
Daphne Kroeze’s program might be for you if…
- You don’t mind DM’ing people all day long on social media all day
- You are a woman and like working exclusively with other women
- You’ve enjoyed unique course before (like with Loan Broker Network)
On the other hand, it probably doesn’t make sense to join up if…
- You’re a man, or you’re a woman who wants to learn how to deal with men as well
- You think setting appointments all day is too boring
- You’d prefer your mentor have more experience
Setter Academy At A 1,000 FT View
The appointment setting business mode is all about…you guessed it, setting appointments.
That means you’ll be responsible for reaching out to emails and phone numbers that potential students enter into a company’s website – or, as some of Daphne’s reviews indicate, you might have to slide into DM’s of women that are following Daphne’s social media pages.
But as an overall business model, it’s all about bringing in leads over to a sales call via a scheduled time and date. This means that without an appointment setter, a program doesn’t generate sales, and it dies out.
It’s basically like a high-stakes secretary that runs off of commission.
Except it’s less stable.
Theoretically, there is some high upside to commission work, but you might get lucky and max out at around 5-6 grand a month, instead of the six-figure promises that some gurus might throw out there.
That’s fine, but it’s more of a middle-class income instead of real financial freedom. And one bad month (or week) can have you fired overnight, since you’ll just be a contractor without any protections.
And while setting appointments does have some secretary traits to it, you also have to have a bit of an edge like salesperson to get the job done. That means you need to overcome objections, stand strong in the face of hundreds of rejections, and generally be able to “take it” over and over again.
This overall leads to a weird mix of a boring, dry sort of job…but it’s also not safe, and is oversaturated with people coming out of courses like Daphne’s.
There are TONS of other options if you wanna make some money online and really score some financial freedom – there’s no reason to settle on the first thing you see, right?
For example, Digital Leasing is a solid bet. It’s got a ton of upside, and a nice floor of stability which is really the exactly formula you need to be looking for. You can take control of your life, spending more time with family and friends, and becoming your own boss!
Who Is Daphne Kroeze?
Daphne Kroeze is a Dutch guru who is pretty knew to the running a course of her own.
She graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts, then bounced around doing some marketing work for a couple companies until founding something called the Media Boat that specializes in online consulting for a flat fee.
But it seems like 2022 was the big year for her, as her social media is now all-in on the Setter Academy and teaching her students how to do it the best way possible.
How Much Does This Setter Academy Cost?
It looks like Daphne charges about $2,000 for this course, which isn’t an outrageous price on its own.
There may be upsells to 1-on-1 coaching or big events, but it’s not clear if there are any additions to the Setter Academy cost at this time.

The “Terms and Conditions” link on Daphne’s page is broken, so it’s hard to say if you’ll get your money back or not.
The best bet is to be careful before investing!
Personal Opinion On The Setter Academy
So…how do we find the right course for you?
- See how much experience the guru has
- Think about if you can really imagine yourself doing this for the rest of your life
- Take a look at their refund policy etc.
Appointment setting is okay, but I’m not the biggest fan…
But to be fair, here’s a quick 3 things I like about Daphne’s program:
- Youthful energy usually helps
- People will always need appointment to be set
- Kind of a cheap course
…and here are 3 things I don’t really like:
- Women-only “girlboss” stuff is usually just a silly gimmick
- Many people get bored and burnt out
- Unclear refund policy

“Setter Academy scam” pops up in searches all the time, but does that mean the program really is a scam?
Probably not.
Technically, a scam is something where you pay a bunch of money and don’t get anything in return, but I don’t really get that vibe here. You’ll at least get something in return, even if the value isn’t great.
That said, it’s fair to wonder if Daphne is really the best coach for you given that she’s only been teaching for a couple years, and it’s not clear how much appointment setting she’s really done.
Another problem is that her “certification academy” isn’t real.
Well, it exists, so it’s real in that way…but it’s not viewed with any real weight by a company. I do wonder about how good the program might be with its negative reviews, but you never really know with that stuff – sometimes students just don’t put in the work.
You’ll be getting some kind of education when it comes to appointment setting, so it’s not technically a scam.
But is that what you really wanna settle for? Not “technically” a scam?
I think these “girlboss” courses are fine, but it seems like you are really limiting yourself…
…after all, why be a girlboss, when you can just be a Boss?

So, should you dive all-in with appointment setting?
I wouldn’t.
There’s a ton of great opportunities in the world for you, so why settle?
