Notary2Notary Review (Updated [year]): Is Vanessa Terry Legit?

Introduction

Notary2Notary is a company ran by Vanessa Terry, a female entrepreneur who says she wants to help others in their journey to becoming a notary signing agent.

She offers notary training courses, where you can either work traditionally, or as a remote online notary.

Having started her own successful nationwide notary business, she certainly doesn't seem like the worst option here...

...but did you ever wonder why you first clicked on one of her ads?

You probably saw Vanessa Terry pitching her program somewhere on social media, and now you're reading all these articles trying to figure out if she's legit or not - but there's gotta be something deeper, especially since being a notary is kind of boring.

I get it, the economy sucks. Inflation is kicking all of our butts, it's hard to afford a home, and no one wants to work a 9-5 grind anymore.

But we've gotta be careful out there.

There are a ton of sharky gurus out there who know about folks who desperately want out of the cubicle lifestyle, so they offer up awful products at super high prices - and sometimes they're really good salesmen.

I don't think Vanessa Terry is anything like that, at least just from first glance.

Lucky for you, I've been writing about these kinda people for a while now, from Rachel Rofe to Sophie Howard...and I've started to pick up patterns of what really works, and what really doesn't.

So, I'll take you through the best and worst parts of Notary2Notary, we'll figure out how much it all costs, and then I'll explore any alternatives to see how much they all pay you.

Now, let's get rollin' with our Notary2Notary review!

DISCLAIMER:

This Notary2Notary review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • Being a notary is a practical job, meaning you're not playing to win a lottery.
  • Vanessa Terry seems transparent with her pricing, which should mean there won't be many hidden fees later on.
  • Although it's a little dry, there isn't a ton of creativity involved with being a notary - and that means you can learn it pretty easily.
CONS
  • There are a ton of notaries nationwide that are already doing this, meaning you'll have a lot of competition.
  • While running a successful notary business can be somewhat easy, the pay isn't too high even if you do it full-time - which means you might need to do other jobs on the side.
  • A notary career can be very dry, meaning you might get bored with it after a while.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - What's The Verdict On Notary2Notary?

what is notary2notary

Notary2Notary is an online training program ran by Vanessa Terry that aims to teach her students on how to become a notary public.

As a reminder that there are no stupid questions, let's answer one you might have:

What's The Point Of A Notary?

Let's use a simple answer I found on over on Reddit:

"A notary is basically a state/federally certified witness. So a notary stamping and signing something saying they witnessed it happened carries more weight than you saying your neighbor joe witnessed it. A lot of formal documents require notary to witness signatures to prove you were actually the one who signed the documents after the document was explained. That way you can’t come back later and try to say you were never told x or y. The notary was there to witness you being explained the paperwork and your signing the document to say you understand the paperwork."

Well, there you have it. You're gonna rubber-stamp things for a living...which is way better than working in a factory or something, but kicking off a remote online notarization operation does have some issues.

For example, it's kind of hard to find financial independence if there are so many notaries out there that'll just do things for free. A "race to the bottom" is what that's called in the world of pricing.

I think Vanessa Terry is offering a decent service for what it is, with many different courses thoroughly explaining all the different kinds of things you might be doing as a notary...but man, I almost fell asleep just reading the titles.

Frankly, if I'm after financial freedom I'm gonna go for something with BIG upside, and I'm not sure that's something life as an e-notary can provide - even with lifetime access to all those training modules.

I did stumble onto a pretty cool program the other day called Digital Leasing.

Apparently you just bring in clients to locally-owned businesses, and they'll keep paying you every month...I think this is an interesting model because it's not too complicated, but also allows for you to pick and choose which business owners you wanna work with.

Oh, and it's basically recession-proof since...y'know, businesses always need customers, even when times are tough.

Their students seem extremely passionate about what they're doing - not just getting by, but creating their own future.

Digital Leasing Legit

Now, if you'd like to hear Loan Broker Network review, then let's get back to it.

Who Benefits From Notary2Notary...And Who Is It Wrong For?

AreaScoreDescription
Time Investment3/5Doesn't take long to learn, but you will have to put a lot of time into it if you wanna make big bucks. More of a small-time side-gig.
Level of Control2/5Depends on how many people need legal services at any point in time. Lots of competition.
Ease of Implementation3/5It'll take some learning if you have no idea about legal stuff, but I'll be generous here since it's easy once you get going.
Profit Potential1/5Sometimes notaries are paid just $25 per document, very low-upside.

There are tons of programs hyping themselves up as the best out there, but choosing the wrong one could change your life for all the wrong reasons.

Notary2Notary might be for you if...

  1. You don't mind repetitive work
  2. Heavy competition doesn't scare you
  3. You've tried some legal courses before (like with Loan Broker Network)

On the other hand, it probably doesn't make sense to join it if...

  1. You want something that generates more six figure earners
  2. You don't like cut-and-dry legal paperwork
  3. You want an industry that isn't too oversaturated

Notary2Notary At A 1,000 FT View

notary2notary what is a notary public agent

Notary work is basically turning yourself into a legal clerk who rubber stamps things and handles a ton of paperwork.

You can specialize in real estate, private notary work, or even for banks:

"Notaries are public officials who serve as a witness of the signing of important documents. A notary, or notary public, is an official of integrity appointed by state government to serve the public as an impartial witness when important documents are signed. Most banks and credit unions have a notary public on staff for customers who need documents notarized."

So, as I've been hinting at - even industry experts have a hard time making this business model sound too exciting!

You basically have to be highly knowledgeable when it comes to very specific information, signing certain forms and asking for ID.

Honestly, notary work is one of the "safest" industries I can think of...it usually requires a small investment to get started, and isn't too much work.

There are just way too many people who do it for way too cheap.

If you go to a bank or talk to your realtor when looking to buy/sell a house, half the time these people are already notarized anyway...so why would someone go out of their way to work with you?

Remote Online Notary

Something Vanessa Terry likes to pitch is the new online aspect to notary work. This certainly appeals to the folks who wanna get additional training at home, so they can spend time with their families or just not have to drive to work every day.

I get this angle, but there are just so many other options out there that I have to recommend over this business model.

It's not like I think Vanessa Terry is doing an awful job, but I'd just have to go with something where you can make some real money from home, without setting appointments and having to look nice for meetings every day.

And even then, picking the best industry is only half the battle...you need a great mentor if you wanna get a leg-up on your competition!

Who Is Vanessa Terry?

vanessa terry who is she

So, who the heck is this Vanessa Terry guru anyway?

Well, just like being a notary signing agent, her story isn't incredibly exciting.

Sometimes you get all kinds of stories from gurus on their intense rags-to-riches stories...sometimes they're made up or exaggerated, but other times you hear about guys who literally came from poverty, were imprisoned, and then rebuild themselves into powerful CEOs of their own business!

Well, it turns out Vanessa just wanted a little more stress than she had in her rat-race city of New York.

With her notary work, she found more flexibility and time for her kids, and thinks that her years of experience in this field can help you find that same level of success.

That said, it's important to keep in mind she likely makes a ton of money selling her courses, which, in addition to her notary work, is the main driver behind her earning serious wealth.

How Much Does Notary2Notary Cost?

inotarize how much does notary2notary cost

Notary2Notary is mostly transparent with their costs, which is nice when some gurus refuse to release any numbers at all to prospective students.

They offer all kinds of things, from books to courses to all-out bundles of content.

The cheapest products start as low as $8.99, and they can range all the way up to $589.

This is relatively cheap, which I think speaks to how little pay you might get from being a notary..."you get what you pay for", right?

Well, oddly enough it seems Vanessa Terry also owned a company called "iNotorize", and features it on her Notary2Notary YouTube channel.

As you can see in the image above, she offered memberships:

  • Silver Level $250
  • Gold Level $500
  • Platinum Level $1,000

So clearly Vanessa isn't afraid to charge a little extra - keep an eye out for upsells that her sales team might hit you with after buying into some of the Notary2Notary courses.

Notary2Notary Refund Policy

notary2notary refund policy

I can't find anything to do with refunds anywhere on the Notary2Notary website...

...and unfortunately, whenever this happens, it often means there is no refund at all.

Usually gurus will advertise a "money back guarantee" of some kind to make students feel easier about paying for the course, but there's none of that here.

Notary2Notary seems like the latest in the line of Vanessa Terry trying to score a few extra bucks on top of her notary work...

...so, is Notary2Notary legit?

Well, I don't think it's a scam or anything like that.

The cost isn't too high, although it will add up if you start to buy a few of Vanessa's different bundles.

Notary work is just a weird one to buy into for a student who is trying to make some real big bucks online, and I also find it odd that Vanessa's iNotorize website is dead after promoting it a year ago. What happens if Notary2Notary shuts down as well?

With a no-refund policy, you may be out of luck if that happens.

My recommendation is to try something with similar stability, but a higher income to aim for.

Personal Opinion On Notary2Notary

notary2notary scam or legit

Some programs have the right business model locked down, but their coaches suck. Other programs have decent coaches, but the business model just doesn't have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

So...how do we find the right course for you?

  • Make sure the guru has been doing it for a long time
  • Think about what you'd actually be doing, and picture yourself doing it 10 years from now
  • Consider how saturated the industry is with other competitors

While notary work is safe, it's not the greatest way to make money.

But to be fair, here's a quick 3 things I like about Vanessa Terry's program:

  1. It's not too complicated once you learn the basics
  2. People will always need a notary to sign important documents
  3. The courses aren't crazy expensive

...and, in all fairness, here are 3 things I don't really like:

  1. There are always other notaries willing to work for cheaper
  2. Beginners may find legal work to be very boring
  3. Way too many people try to be notaries nationwide

What's Inside Notary2Notary?

notary2notary training courses

From the Notary2Notary website:

"NOTARY2NOTARY provides Training, Resources, and Community for Notaries Nationwide.

We train next-level notary signing agents. Our students’ success is our own success. Through our training, resources, and community engagement, our students are able to become six-figure earners."

It's pretty short and generic, kind of like a lot of what notary businesses are all about.

I really think Vanessa is just trying to come up with new things to keep her students busy. For example, it seems like they have a bunch of upcoming events where they just do "mock notary loan signings"...

...do you really have to pay money to go watch someone sign a loan in-person?

Again, it does seem like Notary2Notary is really trying to squeeze some more than they need to out of this program.

On the other hand, some programs need to have a ton of in-depth modules and interactive events, because industries like Digital Leasing have a lot of different skills to pick up - and a lot of unique clients you'll be running into.

I like the stability of notary work, but it's too safe, you know?

I want some upside when it comes to making money online, something I can do from a beach once I get the ball rolling...even if you can score a few remote online notary gigs, you still have to get up, look all pretty, then put yourself on camera.

Not a lot of fun if you're just looking to relax and earn some passive income, right?

Conclusion: Notary2Notary Review

So, should you hand your hard-earned cash over to Vanessa Terry?

I don't think you have to.

If you're really dead-set on becoming a notary, then there are more than enough resources out there that you can figure it out for free these days.

The program doesn't seem like a scam at all, it's just a woman who sees an opportunity to make more money selling courses than she ever could signing loans.

It's important to know that kind of thing.

So if you're gonna go out and take control of your life - do it the right way. Don't play it too risky with some of those far-out schemes (often found in MLMs) where it's all false promises...but don't play it too safe and settle for notary work either.

If you're gonna be a notary, you might as well get into accounting while you're at it. Safe, you can make a few bucks, but I can't personally imagine myself doing that for the rest of my life.

I recommend you check out the lead generation industry a little more to make sure you're not missing out on anything big.

Remember, there's always another way to score some sweet financial freedom...

What's My #1 Way To Make Money In 2024?

Digital Leasing

I have spent years researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

Why?

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With Vanessa Terry's program, you don’t really own anything.

You’re a hired gun for anyone who needs something signed, totally at their mercy.

Sure, you learn some legal procedures (that other people do for cheaper or free), but at the end of the day, you're a replaceable cog in the wheel.

With Digital Leasing (a passive income stream), you own all the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket...even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100

4) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

With Notary2Notary, you'd have to bank on twice as many people needing a loan (or whatever document that needs signing) today than they did yesterday. And while things can heat up in a hurry, it seems that things like the housing market can cool off in an instant - and anything like that can actually slice your income in half.

And remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

5) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. With Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

Notary2Notary provides the stability and security that comes with Digital Leasing, but at the end of the day it basically offers no upside. Are notaries important? Yup. But there's a reason so many bank clerks or real estate agents also have their notary certification...

...it's a side hustle, not a main income source.

You just have less freedom with Vanessa Terry, and will have to find another job to make ends meet.

Isn't that why you came here in the first place - to find ONE career path to make life better?

With Digital Leasing, you make money by helping businesses make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either...a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Notary2Notary, which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
