The Perfecting Blogging course is designed for beginners. It covers essential topics like SEO, website design, niche selection, and content planning. It's a relatively short course, taking about 2 weeks to complete. The content includes 41+ screen recordings and video walkthroughs. Sophia is well-known as a blogger and influencer. Yet, there are limited third-party testimonials showcasing results from the course. The majority of feedback is found on her website and comes from students who are also affiliates.

CONS

  • The course uses outdated WordPress versions. This means some methods may not work with the latest WordPress developments.
  • Some blogging tips shared on Sophia's YouTube channel are covered in the paid course, which means you can get the same information for free.
  • The course does not explore diverse monetization avenues like brand deals, product sales, or sponsored posts, which means you'll get limited monetization techniques.

Why Listen To Us?

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online
  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it
  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR: What’s The Verdict On Perfecting Blogging?

Verdict On Perfecting Blogging

Sophia Lee claims that her program can help you achieve a monthly income exceeding five figures through blogging. She asserts to share the exact method that propelled her blog to a six-figure income.

According to ReportLinker, the global content marketing industry is going to get bigger. It is projected to witness a significant growth of $584.02 billion from 2023 to 2027. So there’s really a lot of money to be made here.

Let’s dig deeper.

GrowthBadger’s research adds valuable insights. It says that Google AdSense & affiliate marketing are popular monetization methods for bloggers. Yet, high-income bloggers are 2.5 times more likely to sell their products or services than use AdSense.

Bloggers get the majority of their income from various sources. This includes ads, affiliate products and sponsored product reviews. They also sell their own products and offer online courses.

Fit Small Business notes that established bloggers who use these monetization strategies can earn between $3,500 and $15,000 per month.

Back to Sophia’s claims: can Perfecting Blogging help you reach those figures?

Maybe not…considering that 45% of bloggers earning over $50,000 per year sell their own products or services. In Perfecting Blogging, the emphasis is on ads and affiliate marketing only. This may potentially limit your income potential.

If you’re thinking that Perfecting Blogging can help you escape the rat race and say goodbye to your 9-5, you might be disappointed.

Besides, affiliate marketing through blogging may not be different from a 9-5 job. You work for someone else, sell their products, and have little control over your destiny. Despite being responsible for driving traffic.

But what if there’s an alternative? What if you could build arecurring income stream without hefty investments, minimal control, and reliance on others?

Consider the Digital Leasing business model. It combines the appealing aspects of blogging and affiliate marketing while giving you more control.

Imagine creating a passive income stream that brings in anything from a few thousand to over $10,000 every month, practically on autopilot.

If this piques your interest, Digital Leasing may be worth exploring as an alternative.

Now, let’s continue with our Sophia Lee course review.

Who Benefits From Perfecting Blogging And Who Should Stay Away?

Who Benefits From Perfecting Blogging

The Perfecting Blogging course is created to guide students in monetizing their blogs. This is done specifically through advertisements and affiliate marketing. It covers essential aspects such as SEO, website design, niche selection, and content planning.

This makes it suitable for beginners. The course can be completed in approximately two weeks.

The program comes with 41+ screen recordings and video walkthroughs. It has expanded to include over 15 chapters as of 2024. Sophia emphasizes a proactive approach by testing strategies for 1-2 months whenever there’s a change in the algorithm.

Additionally, a bonus section addresses FAQs. The course also provides students with templates and checklists.

Sophia Lee claims that the course contains the exact strategies she employed to achieve remarkable success with her blog.

In her first year alone, she garnered 100,000 page views monthly. This led to a six-figure monthly income and 500,000 monthly page views after three years.

Remarkably, four years later, these methods transformed her blog into a seven-figure business.

That sounds great! But is Perfecting Blogging for you? Is this what you need to start an online business?

Let’s break it down.

Perfecting Blogging could be the right fit for you if:

  • You’re new to blogging and want to dip your toes into it.
  • You already have a blog and aim to enhance your skills.
  • You’re comfortable investing a bit more in essential tools along with the program’s fee.

Meanwhile, it might not be the best choice if:

  • You’re already an experienced blogger who knows how to use keyword research. Most of Sophia’s training will revolve around SEO strategies.
  • You’re expecting a completely passive income. Blogging and affiliate marketing require consistent effort and are not entirely passive.
  • You’re looking for unbiased reviews. Perfecting Blogging’s reviews might be influenced by the affiliate program associated with the course.

Business Model

Perfecting Blogging, as you might have guessed, is all about the blogging business model.

Blogging involves sharing thoughts, experiences, or insights on a specific subject. This is done through a website. The primary goals of blogs are personal expression and educating readers. They also serve as a popular means to boost website traffic.

History of Blogging:

In 1994, Justin Hall wrote the first blog post. It’s a review of HTML examples, posted on Links.net. This was one of the earliest blogs.

By 1998, blogging evolved into commenting on others’ work. Open Diary popularized this trend by creating an online community for feedback.

Coined from “web” and “log,” the term “blog” was a 1999 abbreviation by Peter Morholz. It’s from “weblog,” signifying logging into the internet.

In the same year, Blogger was founded by Meg Hourihan and Evan Williams. It pioneered online publishing. It enabled individuals not just to comment but also to share their own experiences.

Evolution of Blogging:

In 2002, the rise of mommy bloggers transformed the blogging landscape. It has paved the way for the current diverse format. Since then, individuals can share experiences and opinions, educating readers in the process.

Today, blogging has become a widespread practice. It is adopted by companies, businesses, professionals, and industry experts. It is no longer confined to individuals or specific niches alone.

Main Promises And Claims Of Perfecting Blogging

Main Promises And Claims Of Perfecting Blogging

What’s the promise of Perfecting Blogging? To earn more than five-figures per month in blogging.

Earning more than a 5-figure monthly income in blogging faces challenges due to various factors. Firstly, the dominance of 1 to 3-year-old blog posts on Google’s top-ranking pages creates stiff competition. This makes it difficult for new content to gain visibility.

For beginners, this poses a significant hurdle. As the top pages are already populated with established content.

Another crucial aspect is the need for existing traffic for successful monetization. Popular affiliate marketing programs require a certain level of traffic. These include Amazon Associates and advertising platforms like Google AdSense and Mediavine all

For example, Amazon Associates necessitates a minimum of three sales within 180 days. Google AdSense and Mediavine rely on organic and high-quality traffic, respectively.

Beginners who are unaware of keyword research and SEO may struggle to meet these traffic requirements. The lack of knowledge in these areas may hinder attempts to monetize their sites.

Also, the competitive landscape includes big companies. This is evidenced by data from Demand Sage. There are more than 600 million active blogs worldwide that regularly post about seven blog posts a day.

This is because blogging is recognized as a cost-effective marketing strategy. It is 60% more inexpensive than traditional marketing and delivers 55% more traffic.

Given these benefits, it’s common for large corporations to have blogs. Over 54% of Fortune 500 companies and 93% of marketing managers employ this marketing tactic.

Blogging offers significant advantages. But beginners, including those enrolled in Perfecting Blogging, face challenges related to competition. It requires established content and traffic. They will also need to compete with big companies in the online space.

Differences From Other Programs

Differences From Other Programs

Perfecting Blogging teaches the same strategies Sophia uses for her 7-figure blog business.

Additionally, it guides aspiring bloggers on gaining acceptance into Mediavine. The course offers a supportive community within an exclusive Facebook group. This ensures prompt chat assistance for students.

The main focus of Perfecting Blogging for monetization is affiliate marketing. If you want to explore other niches or avenues to monetize your blog, you might want to check out some of best blogging courses and gurus out there:

What’s My Personal Opinion On Perfecting Blogging?

Personal Opinion On Perfecting Blogging

If you’ve been following my journey here at ScamRisk, you know I’ve explored various online money-making programs. My insights stem from that experience. Today, I’m diving into a closer examination of Perfecting Blogging.

When scouring reviews for blogging programs, you’ll come across numerous negative opinions. You see them on platforms such as Reddit, Trustpilot, BBB, and even in ad comments. The abundance of negativity may raise some questions. Why are there so many negative reviews?

Well, the truth is, individuals with unfavorable experiences are more inclined to share their thoughts. But, having a negative encounter doesn’t automatically categorize the course creator as a scammer.

You may be uncertain about which reviews to trust. In that case, you consider the following criteria I use to evaluate programs like Perfecting Blogging:

  1. Real hands-on experience: Check if the person running the program has authentic hands-on experience in blogging.
  2. Support options: Look for support avenues, such as a private Facebook group or coaching, to assist you when facing challenges.
  3. Value for price: Assess what you’re actually getting for the price, not just the cost itself.
  4. Transparency on extra costs: Ensure they’re upfront about any additional costs or items you might need to purchase.
  5. Community success: Observe how well people in their Facebook group are faring financially. Consider their testimonials while keeping in mind the aforementioned factors.

My Recommendation On Perfecting Blogging

Now, let’s apply these criteria to Perfecting Blogging:

  • Sophia boasts several years of blogging experience. She has successfully conducted two other courses—Perfecting Pinterest and Perfecting Email. This highlights a positive track record.
  • The presence of a dedicated online community adds another positive aspect.

Meanwhile, here are the primary reasons I don’t recommend Perfecting Blogging:

  1. Overlap with free content: Some blogging tips shared on Sophia’s YouTube channel are duplicated in the paid content.
  2. Hidden expenses: Apart from the course fee, be prepared to invest in additional tools, like hosting.
  3. Not a passive income: Blogging demands ongoing effort and commitment, dispelling the notion of a fully passive income.

Is There A Perfecting Blogging Scam Going On?

Perfecting Blogging Scam

Now, let’s tackle the million-dollar question – is Perfecting Blogging a scam?

No, it’s not technically a “scam.” Sophia won’t just take your payment and vanish without providing access to the course. It’s a legitimate program. There is an opportunity to make money with Perfecting Blogging.

Yet, my primary concern lies in the fact that blog monetization. Contrary to Sophia’s claims, it is not as easy as it may appear.

Sophia Lee’s claim of earning more than a 5-figure monthly income through blogging is challenging. This is due to several factors. First, Google’s top-ranking pages are dominated by posts that are 1 to 3 years old. To make money, existing traffic is crucial. There’s also fierce competition with large companies.

According to a study by Ahrefs, 95% of new blog posts don’t reach Google’s top results. The first page is primarily occupied by pages with an average age of 3 years. The top 10 pages consist of posts that are over 2 years old.

Posts that have been around for just 1 year constitute only 22% of the top 10 pages. These sites typically have a high domain rating or backlink profile.

As evidenced by these data, making blogging a lucrative source of income is challenging for beginners. The top pages in Google are already saturated with content aged 1 to 3 years.

Advanced backlinking efforts are required to boost rankings. This can be intimidating for beginner bloggers, the target audience of Perfecting Blogging.

Don’t get me wrong – it can work. I’ve personally experienced success with blogging, as have many of my friends. However, seeing substantial results might take years of consistent effort.

What if there was an easier way? What if I tell you that you can still use that writing skills? You can generate checks ranging from $500 to $2,000 EACH every single month, almost on autopilot.

You can learn from someone who has mastered the art of driving profitable traffic. Imagine seeing your first payment in one week, not three years! And picture doubling or tripling that income within the next month or two.

This has been my experience with Digital Leasing. Some of my friends operate their six-figure Digital Leasing businesses from their favorite vacation spots. They prioritize enjoying life first and work second, all thanks to this program.

They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps flowing in.

If this sounds like the life you want to live, check out Digital Leasing.

Conclusion: To Buy Or Not To Buy Perfecting Blogging

Should you go for Perfecting Blogging?

My honest recommendation is to reconsider opting for Perfecting Blogging. This perspective is not a critique of Sophia Lee. I believe she had the best intentions when developing the course.

The thing is, blogging is not the best method for making money online. Especially for beginners. You must have comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of SEO. If you want to succeed in the global online landscape.

It also demands an established website with hundreds of articles and high-quality backlinks. You’ll be contending with major companies. You must dedicate 6 to 12 months of hard work just to earn Google’s trust.

My suggestion is to explore Digital Leasing. By optimizing your website instead for specific cities and locations, you enhance your chances of ranking in Google’s top pages. This approach reduces competition with business blogs.

The best part? Once it’s set up, you can rely on it for passive income. That means more time for family and doing the things that you truly love!

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online - Digital Leasing

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing
  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: Digital Leasing.

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, Digital Leasing is for you.

Why?

1)Time commitment: Writing blog posts requires substantial time and effort. Success is reliant on building trust, creating high-quality content, and cultivating an audience. These demand dedicated and consistent efforts over an extended period.

It’s very different from Digital Leasing. If you have an hour or two per day, you can do this. Even if you want to drop everything and commit fully, that works too.

You don’t have to be constantly working to make money. The income you generate is recurring.

Imagine taking off for a month to places like Hawaii, Paris, National Parks, & other spots people only dream about. All while collecting dozens of little $500-$2,000 checks. It’s like a dream come true.

But it’s only possible to do it when you’ve separated your income from your time.

2)You Own & Control EVERYTHING: In the realm of affiliate blogging, your influence over the products or services you promote is restricted. Your primary role revolves around driving sales for the merchant.

This limitation means you have minimal control and ownership. This restricts your impact on the broader business decisions.

With Digital Leasing, you own everything, so you have ultimate control.

3)It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income as an affiliate blogger, you would need to sell twice as much inventory, or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my days selling women’s health products as an affiliate), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

4)Great Margins: Earning profits from affiliate products can be challenging due to slim profit margins. Especially when dealing with lower-cost items.

Pursuing high-ticket items may offer better returns. But it often involves increased competition, leading to higher expenses for acquiring traffic.

In Digital leasing, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

5)You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with being an affiliate blogger is that you’re selling products that will bring you the biggest commission, not the products that will help people the most.

It’s cool in the short term to make a quick buck, but in the long-term, it eats away at your soul.

But when you’re talking about Digital Leasing, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other blogging programs like Perfecting Blogging, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.
