Liveable Years Review (Updated 2024): What Are Paul And Carleen Offering?

By: Joel & Josiah
Liveable Years Review

Hey there, welcome to my in-depth Liveable Years review! I’m excited to dive into this one and share my honest thoughts with you.

Affiliate marketing has been around for quite some time, and it’s a business model that continues to thrive in the online world. However, not all affiliate marketing programs are created equal, and it’s essential to separate the sheep from the goats.

Over the years, I’ve reviewed countless affiliate marketing opportunities, and I’ve learned a thing or two about what works and what doesn’t. I’ve also developed a knack for cutting through BS programs that:

  1. Use their top 1% of earners to draw in students with unrealistic expectations.
  2. Promise fast returns with very little investment required.
  3. Make bold claims and offer training with little to no actual substance.

In this review, I’ll be taking a comprehensive look at Liveable Years, a program that promises to help you build an online business through affiliate marketing. I’ll examine the program’s features, training, support, and overall value proposition, so you can make an informed decision about whether it’s the right fit for you.

Average Rating

3.33

The curriculum in Liveable Years is a high-level overview of the beginning steps to building and growing an affiliate marketing business. Where it lacks is in depth and the sustainability associated with a constantly changing digital marketing landscape. Through mentorship and community, students may be able to bridge that gap because the program offers a lot of one-on-one support as well as masterminds and conferences for budding entrepreneurs.

The program offers step-by-step training and resources that can help beginners understand the fundamentals of affiliate marketing, such as identifying a niche, building an online presence, and promoting products effectively.
Liveable Years promotes the idea of earning while learning, which can be appealing for those seeking to generate some income while still acquiring the necessary skills.
In addition to curriculum, this program does offer a lot in terms of mentorship and ongoing support from experts in the industry.
While Liveable Years provides training, it fails to address the significant time, effort, and perseverance required to build a truly sustainable and scalable affiliate marketing business.
There is a lack of transparency surrounding the program's costs and the potential for upselling higher-priced packages.
Ultimately, the program doesn’t appear to provide any sort of information that couldn’t easily be found somewhere else for free.

Why Listen To Us?

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online
  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it
  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR – What’s The Scoop on Liveable Years by Paul and Carleen?

TLDR - What’s The Scoop on Liveable Years by Paul and Carleen?

Let’s cut to the chase – Liveable Years is not some groundbreaking new method to get rich quick online. It’s an affiliate marketing education program that teaches you how to earn commissions by promoting other companies’ products and services.

In fact, Liveable Years isn’t even that. It’s just Paul and Carleen’s brand promoting an affiliate marketing training called “Launch You” which they are affiliates of.

So, they’re pitching you on an affiliate marketing program that they’re earning a commission on.

Now, don’t get me wrong, affiliate marketing can be a legitimate way to generate income online. However, the cold hard truth is that most people who jump into affiliate marketing without proper guidance and realistic expectations end up disappointed and out of pocket.

Learning affiliate marketing through sub-par training is like trying to bake a soufflé by watching a 2-minute YouTube video. You might understand the basic ingredients, but without the right techniques and practice, you’ll likely end up with a deflated, eggy mess.

Worst of all, the gurus love to show off their income and the results of their best students which makes it sound so darn easy and this couldn’t possibly be more misleading.

  • You need to choose a niche.
  • Build a website and sales funnel.
  • Choose a monetization method.
  • Drive traffic to your offers.
  • Deal with months of waiting for your first commission.

While Liveable Years provides some decent training content, it falls short in truly equipping you with the skills and expectations needed to sustain a growing online business in affiliate marketing.

Instead of sitting around and waiting even though they say you can “earn while you learn,” why not start earning right away with Digital Leasing

The concept here is simple – build digital assets that attract customers, lease those assets to local businesses, collect hands-off residual income each month.

When you do this you don’t have to worry about driving traffic to other people’s offers in exchange for a small commission. You command full ownership of your business instead of building a business on being a professional middleman.

Who Benefits From Liveable Years and Who Doesn’t?

Who Benefits From Liveable Years and Who Doesn’t?

Some people are cut out for this business model while others are not. Let’s face it, there are so many options for making money online from Amazon FBA to high-ticket sales, you don’t have to do affiliate marketing.

That said, if you’re curious whether or not this is the right choice for you, let’s talk about it.

Who Benefits

  • Beginners who want to dip their toes into affiliate marketing without a significant financial investment upfront.
  • Those seeking a side hustle or supplemental income stream alongside their regular job. A lot of people who get into affiliate marketing do so to earn money on the side.
  • Individuals with a strong interest in a particular niche and the ability to create engaging content around it.

Who Doesn’t Benefit

  • Anyone expecting to get rich quickly with minimal effort. Expect to wait as long as 12 months to start making money with affiliate marketing.
  • Those seeking a comprehensive, all-in-one program that covers every aspect of building a successful online business.
  • Entrepreneurs looking for a scalable, long-term business model with higher income potential. You’re constantly relying on slim commissions to earn so profit potential can be minimal.

As I said earlier, Liveable Years is a brand by Paul and Carleen that promotes something called “Launch You” which is an affiliate marketing program designed to take complete beginners and teach them the basics of launching a new online business endeavor.

In the following sections, we’ll take a look at some of the details within this model.

Business Model

Liveable Years follows the affiliate marketing business model, where you earn commissions by promoting other companies’ products or services on your website, blog, social media, or other online platforms. The core idea is to leverage your influence and audience to drive sales for the companies you’re affiliated with.

Affiliate marketing is legit but the main challenge that exists is the actual process of getting that influence and audience. You can’t just pop up on the internet promoting stuff and expect people to buy it from you. They don’t know you and honestly… they don’t care (sorry).

But, with a little time and effort, you can develop a trusting brand that people look to for information and as a result, people will take your advice if you recommend something because it can change their life in some way.

Liveable Years intends on teaching you the basics of building that authority through a website and personal brand.

About the Gurus

about paul and carleen

Paul and Carleen are the founders of Liveable Years and self-proclaimed “Launch You Ambassadors.” They position themselves as individuals who escaped the 9-5 grind and found financial freedom through affiliate marketing and the Launch You program.

As someone who has reviewed a lot of make money online programs, these two are a unique duo because they’re quite a bit older than the typical demographic we encounter everyday.

So, this bodes well for people age 50+ who think they’re too old or out of touch to make money online.

These folks did it so you can probably do it too!

Liveable Years Cost

liveable years cost

Remember because I’m going to keep repeating it, Liveable Years is simply a promotional brand of Launch You. So, we’re talking about the Liveable Years cost which is broken up into a bunch of categories based on how much they do for you.

You can DIY your affiliate marketing, you can DIW (do it with) them, or they can DFY (do it for you). The costs are associated with that as you can imagine.

The general cost is $997 per year or $197 upfront and $99 per month for their LaunchPad flagship offering which covers everything you need to get started.

This provides you with the training, development, setup, plugins, and monetization methods needed to get an affiliate marketing business up and running.

There is a strict no-refund policy once you are charged for a recurring subscription so I don’t recommend signing up for the yearly plan because you may get stuck for the money if you don’t like the program.

What Make’s This Different From Other Programs?

In all honesty, there’s nothing groundbreaking or unique about Liveable Years’ approach to affiliate marketing. The concept of earning commissions by promoting other companies’ products has been around for decades and there’s nothing they could teach you that you couldn’t learn for free.

What they’re offering is a “system.” This is what makes it sound so appealing.

A course sounds like: do this, that, and the other thing to learn and then you’re on your own.

A system sounds like: we’ll work with you to do this, that, and the other thing and give you everything you need.

The Launch You program promises to guide you through the entire process, from identifying your niche and building a brand to creating and promoting your offers, and even scaling your business. It positions itself as a complete solution, offering education, tools, resources, and a community of like-minded entrepreneurs.

Nonetheless, it’s crucial to approach any affiliate marketing program with a healthy dose of skepticism and realistic expectations. It’s a volatile business model that isn’t always a reliable way to make a sustainable income.

My Personal Opinion

my personal opinion of liveable years
Area of ImportanceScoreTakeaways
Time Investment2/5The affiliate marketing you’ll learn in this program will require extensive upfront time investment.
Upfront Cost3/5Compared to other business models, affiliate marketing doesn’t have to break the bank, especially if you’re using free traffic methods.
Learning Curve3/5Learning affiliate marketing is no walk in the park and there are a lot of moving parts to learn.
Profit Potential2/5Long-term profit potential is rocky with affiliate marketing because there are so many variables and it always seems like Google is coming after affiliate websites.

After thoroughly reviewing Liveable Years and the broader affiliate marketing landscape, I can’t help but feel a tinge of skepticism mixed with cautious optimism.

On one hand, affiliate marketing undeniably offers the potential for generating passive income streams by promoting other companies’ products and services. It’s a business model that has been around forever and has made a lot of people seriously rich.

On the other hand, it’s been so muddied up with overhyped promises, get-rich-quick schemes, and programs that oversimplify the journey to success.

It’s not simple. It’s not easy. It’s not fast.

The program’s emphasis on the “earn while you learn” concept and the allure of making money while you sleep can be enticing, but it fails to adequately address the significant time, effort, and perseverance required to build a sustainable affiliate marketing business.

Can you get to that point? Sure you can but expect to grind HARD for months if not longer before you can wake up to commissions.

While the training materials and resources provided by Liveable Years may be valuable, they are ultimately just tools.

True success in affiliate marketing hinges on your ability to consistently create high-quality, engaging content, build and nurture an audience, and effectively promote products or services that genuinely resonate with your target market.

Here are some things to consider:

  1. Make sure the Launch You program aligns with your long-term income goals.
  2. Make sense of the affiliate marketing business model and see how it fits your lifestyle.
  3. Decide if paying for this information to be easily compiled is worth the cost versus going to find it for yourself.

It’s important to approach any affiliate marketing program with a healthy dose of skepticism and a willingness to thoroughly research and vet the program before investing your time and money.

Is There a Liveable Years Scam Going On?

While there’s no Liveable Years scam… I’m skeptical. From what I can gather, the program does provide some level of training and resources related to affiliate marketing.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a wise long-term investment or the best path to sustainable online success.

The bigger question we should ask ourselves is whether relying solely on affiliate marketing as a business model is a prudent approach for building a scalable and profitable online venture. And here, I have some significant concerns:

  • Limited Control: As an affiliate marketer, you have little to no control over the products or services you’re promoting. Your income is directly tied to the decisions and actions of the companies whose offers you’re selling.
  • Saturation and Competition: The affiliate marketing space is incredibly crowded and competitive, making it increasingly challenging to stand out and attract a loyal audience.
  • Lack of Scalability: While affiliate marketing can generate decent side income, its scalability is limited compared to other business models, such as creating and selling your own products or services.
  • Constantly Changing Landscape: The rules and regulations surrounding affiliate marketing are constantly shifting, and what works today might not work tomorrow, requiring constant adaptation and vigilance.

While Liveable Years may provide a decent introduction to affiliate marketing, relying on it as your sole source of income or long-term business strategy could be risky and limiting.

Instead, I would recommend exploring a more comprehensive and proven business model like Digital Leasing. This approach allows you to build and own digital assets that generate semi-passive income streams, essentially leasing these assets to local businesses in exchange for recurring revenue.

With Digital Leasing, you maintain control over your income sources, have the potential for scalability, and can build a sustainable business without relying on the whims of third-party companies or constantly chasing the latest affiliate marketing trends.

Ultimately, while Liveable Years may not be a outright scam, its focus on affiliate marketing raises valid concerns about its long-term viability as a primary business model.

What’s Inside The Program?

what's inside liveable years

Liveable Years is an affiliate marketing education platform promoting the “Launch You” system that claims to provide a comprehensive step-by-step system for building and growing an online business through promoting other companies’ products and services.

The program is divided into several core modules or phases, each focusing on different aspects of the affiliate marketing journey.

Phase 1: Mindset and Foundation

This initial phase aims to shape the right mindset and lay the groundwork for your affiliate marketing business. It covers topics such as goal-setting, developing a growth mindset, and identifying your niche and target audience.

Phase 2: Building Your Online Presence

In this phase, you’ll learn how to create and optimize your online presence, including building a website, creating content, and establishing your brand. Topics covered may include website design, copywriting, SEO, and social media marketing.

Phase 3: Affiliate Marketing Strategies

This phase delves into the core affiliate marketing strategies and techniques. You’ll learn about different affiliate programs, how to select and promote products effectively, tracking and analytics, and strategies for driving traffic and conversions.

Phase 4: Email Marketing and List Building

Email marketing is a crucial component of any successful affiliate marketing business, and this phase covers list-building techniques, email copywriting, automation, and strategies for nurturing and monetizing your email list.

That said, the education is thin compared to real programs like Ian Stanley’s or Magnetic Marketing

Phase 5: Advanced Affiliate Marketing Tactics

In the advanced phase, you’ll explore more sophisticated tactics and strategies for scaling your affiliate marketing business. This may include topics such as paid advertising, influencer marketing, outsourcing, and diversifying your income streams.

Throughout the program, Liveable Years also promises to provide access to a community of like-minded entrepreneurs, one-on-one mentorship, ongoing support, and additional resources such as templates, tools, plugins, and case studies.

Built into the framework is also the opportunity to have the company do some of the work for you…. Or, all of the work for you. They have a DIY and a DFY option so if you have deep pockets but aren’t interested in actually learning affiliate marketing, they can attempt to build a successful business for you.

Can Liveable Years Help You Truly Live Free?

Maybe… maybe not? But I think the question really is, can affiliate marketing be the business model that finally helps you break free from your 9-5?

I don’t know if it is.

But what I do know is that affiliate marketing takes a lot of effort, time, and commitment to make money down the road. The potential is there, but don’t expect anything to come quick and without a lot of blood, sweat, and tears along the way.

What is My Top Recommendation for Making Money Online in 2024?

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online - Digital Leasing

After exploring various online business opportunities, including the affiliate marketing program offered by Liveable Years, I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of people come to:

There’s a lot of hype and rah-rah without a lot to really show for it.

Unfortunately, this is the case with a lot of online marketing programs.

  • I’ve sold products on Amazon.
  • I’ve tried dropshipping with a Shopify store.
  • I’ve even dabbled with selling health supplements using Clickbank.

Best of all, I made a little money here and there doing just about everything. But nothing really served as that “homerun” win I was looking for.

The truth is, building a sustainable and profitable online business requires hard work, dedication, and a willingness to embrace a long-term vision. While affiliate marketing can be a viable income stream, relying on it as your sole business model can be limiting and risky in the ever-changing digital landscape.

That’s why I want to recommend an alternative business model that I believe offers a more sustainable and scalable path to online success: Digital Leasing.

Digital Leasing is a powerful concept that allows you to build and own digital assets that generate semi-passive income streams.

  1. You create a website or digital asset tailored to a specific niche or market.
  2. You optimize this asset to rank well in search engines and attract potential customers.
  3. You establish partnerships with local businesses in your chosen niche.
  4. You “lease” your digital asset to these local businesses, essentially providing them with a steady stream of qualified leads and customers.
  5. In return, these businesses pay you a recurring fee or a percentage of the sales generated through your asset.

The beauty of Digital Leasing lies in its simplicity, scalability, and the control it offers you over your income sources.

True Passive Income: Unlike affiliate marketing or e-commerce, where you’re constantly chasing traffic and relying on third-party platforms, Digital Leasing allows you to generate income passively through your leased assets. Once set up, these assets continue to benefit your clients while paying you, regardless of your active involvement.

Minimal Ongoing Work: While building and optimizing your initial digital assets requires effort, the ongoing work required to maintain and scale your Digital Leasing business is minimal. You’re not constantly at the mercy of building and growing sites to drive traffic to your affiliate offers.

Replicable Scale: Expanding a Digital Leasing business is straightforward and cost-effective. You can replicate the same process across different niches and locations, allowing you to scale your earnings without the need for significant additional financial resources.

Helping Real People: Unlike many online business models that rely on disengaged website visitors or impersonal transactions, Digital Leasing allows you to provide real value to local small business owners who are eager to pay for your services. You have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on people’s lives while securing your own time and financial freedom.

If you’re serious about building a sustainable and scalable online business that offers true freedom and control, I highly recommend exploring the Digital Leasing model.

It’s a proven path to success that has transformed the lives of countless entrepreneurs, and it could be the key to unlocking your own financial independence.
