Blueprint Training Review (Updated [year]): Is Ryan Stewart Legit?

Introduction

Ryan Stewart wants you to learn how to run a successful SEO agency, just like him.

He's been in the keyword research game since 2009, and through his Blueprint Training program, he thinks it can help you get some of that sweet financial freedom so many people are after.

You probably heard a little pitch like this in an ad on social media. Maybe you heard the phrases: "technical SEO", "link building" or "local SEO reporting"...

...but none of that's why you're here, is it?

You're here because the 9-5 grind sucks, inflation is making everything more expensive, and you want some more time to do what you love, with the people you love.

A little warmer, right?

And since Ryan Stewart is a specialist with SEO knowledge, it's no wonder his ad found you. So now you're looking up ways to make money online, and specifically whether his Blueprint SEO Training is legit. Heck, you might have even looked up some of his competition with even better reputations, like BAM University.

But it can be frustrating clicking through review after review, article after article, trying to figure out which one actually has the right info you're looking for.

Well, I have some good news.

I've been writing these articles for years now, covering everything from MLMs to affiliate marketing.

And yes, I've even written up a guide on how to run an SEO business.

After a while you start to notice what works and what doesn't and which gurus are just looking to score a quick buck without offering anything of substance to their students.

So I'll walk you through the ins and outs of Ryan Stewart's SEO training, see how much all this costs, and even figure out what other options are out there for ya.

Now, let's jump into our Blueprint Training review!

DISCLAIMER:

This The Blueprint Training review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • SEO is a great skill to have, which means you could really make money like other agency owners - especially with something like lead generation.
  • Ryan Stewart has been doing this since 2009, meaning he's got a lot of experience with things like doing a Website Quality Audit.
  • The Blueprint Training website is fairly slick and transparent, which means you won't have to guess too much about what they're offering unless you are new.
CONS
  • Some reviews out there say that Stewart's information is only useful for rookies, while others claim only experienced students could understand it; this means his messaging may be confusing.
  • While most of the Blueprint Training website is transparent, Stewart does leave you guessing with his two high-ticket courses, and that means you may be hit with a high price
  • There is no refund policy, which means you will have lost a lot of money if you jump into this thing too fast.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - What's The Verdict On Blueprint Training?

what is blueprint training

Blueprint Training is a program aimed at helping anyone from beginning students to experienced agency owners that have SEO clients who just need help getting a boost in their business.

Ryan Stewart has run several SEO agencies over the years, so he is familiar with a lot of the jargon like a "technical SEO audit", "kickoff data analysis", or "keyword gap analysis".

But is his Blueprint Training worth it?

Well, that depends.

First of all, he's got three different sections. One for building up an SEO agency, another for growing your existing pages, and finally a "scaling" course that is only reserved for businesses raking in over $100k a month.

However, it's worth noting that even for the beginner portion of this program, Stewart recommends you already have an existing knowledge of SEO campaigns before joining.

So, if you're just here to try to figure out a new way of making money online, Ryan Stewart's program probably isn't for you.

But I'm not gonna leave you hanging.

While SEO is cool, it's best used as a way of generating leads via local lead generation.

In plain English, this means that you basically draw in clients for local businesses in and around your town or city, and they pay you a monthly, reliable, and sometimes very nice paycheck for your work.

And if you keep the customers rolling in, then one day you might actually get to sit back and just watch the cash stack up.

Now that's what I'd call financial freedom.

The Digital Leasing students seem extremely passionate about what they're doing - not just getting by, but creating their own future.

Now, if you'd like to hear more about my Blueprint Training review, then let's get back to it.

Who Benefits From Blueprint Training...And Who Doesn't?

AreaScoreDescription
Time Investment2/5It could take a while for people to get the SEO experience necessary to enter this program.
Level of Control2/5Clients can fire you whenever they want; very little relationship-building.
Ease of Implementation3/5It's relatively easy to implement this kind of thing, just gotta stay on it.
Profit Potential4/5Lots of money to be made with SEO, but even more when incorporated with lead generation.

The crazy thing about buying into a course - whether it's from a college or online - is that everything can change with the slightest detail.

Sometimes you can have really good instructors/coaches, but the business model just doesn't make any sense, so you basically just learned something worthless in the best way possible.

Does that make sense?

On the flip side, you can be interested in a great industry, but going with a guru who doesn't match your energy can leave you feeling alone and frustrated.

It's all about finding balance.

There are tons of programs out there, and it's critical to find the right one.

Blueprint Training might be for you if...

  1. You're already good with technical computer language
  2. You're okay with the uncertainty that comes with running an SEO agency
  3. You've done well with other agency programs (like Douglas James Marketing)

On the other hand, it probably doesn't make sense to join it if...

  1. You prefer something that isn't limited to just SEO
  2. You're concerned Ryan Stewart doesn't post to his Facebook page often
  3. You're not sure if the high-ticket side of the program is worth it

SEO work is pretty cool, and one of the better industries you can break into.

Search Engine Optimization is a solid business model. There are many uses for it, and it's known for its success within even stronger industries like lead generation.

However, one of its downsides is that you can be dropped like a sack of potatoes. One second you're building up a company to new heights, all the way to the front page of Google...

...but after that, what if they figure they don't need you anymore?

Sure, maybe they'll come back to you if their rankings slip again after a few months, but that downtime could set you back financially. It's better to use SEO as a way to build longer-lasting business relationships that can provide regular cash in your hands.

I also think mentorship matters a lot. Even if you pick the right industry, the wrong coach can send you down a bad path.

I don't think Stewart is a bad coach by any means, but he does miss a golden opportunity to teach more inexperienced marketers how to get out there and master lead generation.

I recently stumbled up some cool people with a Digital Leasing program, and all they do is focus on lead generation from the ground up.

Experienced? Great, you'll improve. Total rookie? That's fine, they'll give you all the background knowledge you'll need - including SEO fundamentals.

It's definitely worth a shot, and something I consider an improvement to Ryan Stewart's Blueprint Training.

Who Is Ryan Stewart?

who is ryan stewart

As you can see from the little blurb on his website above, Ryan Stewart is an intense guru.

I like that.

No flowery, sensitive feelings-type stuff. Just winning.

That said, he does use a TON of industry jargon, which makes it hard for any newcomers to understand exactly what he's talking about. Sometimes this is a strategy of intentional confusion, but I always like the idea of explaining things to people like they're a 5 year old.

If I can't do it, then it's probably not that clear of an idea.

With Stewart, he basically uses a lot of big words to say that he makes a lot of money, and he wants to help his students and clients to start stacking some cash as well.

It all started back in 2009 for Ryan Stewart, in the sunny city of Miami, Florida.

His parents always wanted him to take the classic go-deep-into-debt college route, then grind out a 9-5 for fifty years. And to be fair, he tried it out. He graduated college and started working as an employed consultant, making about $55k per year.

Not bad for 2009, but Stewart wanted more.

He ended up digging further into the uses of SEO, and eventually started an agency with a financial partner...

...unfortunately for Ryan, that partner screwed him over, and kicked him out of the company without any legal path for Ryan to fight back.

Some people might have given up right then, but it seems that kind of harsh lesson was just what it took for Ryan Stewart to fight even harder for financial freedom. It took a few years, but after going back to the corporate world and getting an MBA, he finally started another website in 2014.

In 2016, he sold that website.

And since then, he's sold a couple more agencies for 7-figures, and in 2018 he decided to start up Blueprint Training to share his experience with other entrepreneurs.

I respect that he's still operating his own agency through all of this - too many gurus end up focusing on selling courses instead of the hustle that got them there in the first place.

How Much Does Blueprint Training Cost?

how much does blueprint training cost

The Blueprint Training costs are all over the place. It all starts with a free book called "The Agency Blueprint", which is more or less an introduction to Ryan Stewart and what he brings to the table.

But after that, the costs grow.

  • Build: $1,999 if you pay all at once, or $199/month, which comes out to $2,388 per year
  • Grow: this price is unlisted, but you have to be making between $15,000-$80,000 every year, so expect a percentage of that to be asked for on your sales call with Stewart's team
  • Scale: $5,000 per month + $5k in social media ads = $120,000 per year

Full Bundle?

As of this writing, you can still buy the "full bundle" of the old course.

  • $6,999 for the course
  • $20,000 for closer contact with Ryan Stewart, if it is still honored

Blueprint Training Refund Policy

blueprint training refund policy

The only time the word "refund" is mentioned in their terms and conditions is an area where it clarifies that you will NOT receive a refund.

If you hand your money over to Ryan Stewart, do not expect to see it again.

...so, is Blueprint Training legit?

Ryan Stewart isn't a scam artist, that's for sure.

Is is program the best? I don't think so...but I think you're getting very close if he's someone you're considering signing up with.

Clearly the guy has made some money in the past, and he knows a thing or two about SEO.

SEO is critical to any marketing agency's success, and it's one of the most important things to keep in mind when you're setting up your lead generation business.

I think if you're gonna make all this investment and finally chase some of that sweet financial freedom...why would you what to "almost" get it right?

Both can pay pretty good, but with an SEO agency, you're always at a higher risk of a client and you being left with nothing. With lead gen, you'll always have assets to move.

Go all out, jump all in with Digital Leasing if you wanna learn some SEO and then use it to bring in guaranteed monthly paychecks from local businesses. Less hassle, more upside.

Personal Opinion On Blueprint Training

ryan stewart marketing

SEO is a skillset to learn, but it won't help you at all if you try to get it from a bad coach or sketchy program.

So, what are some things to consider when you're on the lookout?

  • Make sure their price point is something you're willing to pay
  • Think about if this is something you can see yourself doing it 10 years
  • Consider if the guru's energy will work well with your own

Ryan Stewart is far from the worst guru out there.

In fact, how about a quick 3 things I like about his program:

  1. Different tiers for different needs
  2. Stewart has lots of experience
  3. SEO is a key part of marketing online

...and, in all fairness, here are 3 things I don't really like:

  1. Has kind of a cold, intense nature - great for some, might be tough for others
  2. No refund policy
  3. If you want to learn more about lead generation, you'll have to pay the highest price

What's Inside Blueprint Training?

whats inside blueprint training

I think Blueprint Training gives some solid training on some of the best skills to learn for making money online.

Ryan Stewart (SEO specialist) even dips his toes into lead generation with his most expensive course in the program (the Scale part), but the problem there is that he's only willing to focus on lead gen if your business already makes over 100k a month...and frankly, that course doesn't make sense with its description. It says "only apply if you have a great offer...and we will help deliver you a great offer".

Weird.

All that said, Blueprint Training has recently gone a big makeover in terms of how they deliver their program.

As of this writing, the "full bundle" of the old course can still be bought for about $7,000, but it seems that they are phasing this out and replacing it with a 3-tiered course system.

Full Bundle?

This is where you might be confused.

If you clicked on an old sales funnel link, you may have a been brought to an offer for Blueprint Training's "full bundle', which costs you $6,999.

The page is still live, but you should understand that you are NOT getting all three of the Build/Grow/Scale programs...you are getting the old version of the course, which is mostly video training instead of more live events and coaching calls.

That said, we'll quickly go over the way things were set up, since it is technically still available:

  1. Kickoff Data Analysis
  2. Project Management
  3. Analytics Auditing
  4. Website Quality Audit
  5. Technical SEO
  6. Keyword Research for Existing Pages
  7. On Page Optimizations
  8. Internal Link Analysis
  9. Content Audit
  10. Keyword Gap Analysis
  11. Content Strategy and Campaigns
  12. Link Building
  13. Reporting for SEO
  14. Local SEO Reporting
  15. Agency Pulse Reporting
  16. Agency Sales module

All in all, it seems like they cover a lot of the key (although kinda of dry and boring) content you'd expect in an SEO training program.

But let's move onto Ryan Stewart's new way of doing things...

ryan stewart build grow scale

Build

This one is for people making less than $15k in revenue every month. Stewart doesn't seem to pitch his course for outright beginners, and he says that you should have a good grasp of SEO knowledge and have some experience as a freelancer before signing up.

It's not too expensive to join this course, and in it you'll get things like:

  1. Video Training
  2. Done For You Templates
  3. Monthly Consulting Sessions
  4. Private Community Access

This is their cheapest course, and it's for entrepreneurs who are just starting out. It's where the readers of The Agency Blueprint would go next.

Grow

With the "Grow" course, you have to own an agency that earns between $15,000-$80,000 every month in revenue.

Here, you'll pay a chunk of your monthly revenue (gotta call the sales team to find out), and then you'll basically get what you'll find in the basic "Build" program, but catered to someone who already has an agency up and running.

With that in mind here's exactly what you'll be paying for:

  1. Video Training
  2. Live Bootcamps
  3. Agency Template Suite
  4. Weekly Consulting Sessions
  5. Monthly Guest Working Sessions
  6. Pro Slack Community
  7. Doc Reviews/Loom Coaching

So, basically you're paying for more time with coaches, maybe even with some interaction with Ryan Stewart himself.

This is for SEO agencies who are doing okay, but not great. If you're making between $15k-80k per month in revenue, then Stewart will direct you toward this program.

Unlike the Build course, these prices are not transparent. You have to do a sales call and talk about your companies details first, and then Stewart's team will possibly come up with a different number depending on how much you're bringing in...there is a big difference between $15,000 and $80,000 per month, after all.

Expect a percentage of your monthly revenue to be directed toward Blueprint Training's cost.

Scale

ryan stewart blueprint training done for you

This is the grand-daddy of it all.

You have to have a business that's already making over $100,000 per month (a seven-figure yearly operation). It's described a little oddly by saying you need to have a "great offer" to qualify, and then Stewart says part of what he'll do is help the company build a good offer.

Seems redundant, but maybe he did his research and knows there are people out there looking for this kind of thing

The main attraction is probably his "Done For You" element to this program. In fact, this isn't really a course as much as it is a service.

Ryan Stewart will actually become an active partner in your business...for the price of $5,000 per month! He also demands a minimum of $5k spending on ads every month, so you really need to have a prosperous agency to be able to afford all this.

Obviously, this one is not for beginners.

Conclusion Of My Blueprint Training Review

So, should you fork over your cash to Ryan Stewart?

I wouldn't.

Listen, this guy is close. Very close.

SEO is super important when it comes to making online, but Stewart only really talks about lead generation in his final, very expensive "Scale" program. And it's only for companies making over a million dollars every year.

And his most basic program requires you to have a good amount of SEO experience to begin with...

...it's the classic situation of "you need experience to apply, but you can't get experience without someone accepting you."

Well, this is why I recommend a great program like Digital Leasing, where a quality mentor will take all people under his wing if they're willing to put a little work in.

That means anyone from a beginner to an expert is welcome to sharpen their skills and stack some cash.

And if you put in that early work...who knows? You might be able to sit back on the beach and watch your bank account grow every day...

What's My #1 Way To Make Money In 2024?

Digital Leasing

I have spent years researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

Why?

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With Ryan Stewart's program, you don’t really own anything.

Once your client gets onto page 1 of Google, they don't need you anymore...so you've basically spent time building up someone else's dream.

With Digital Leasing (a passive income stream), you own all the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket...even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100

4) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

With Blueprint Training, you're at the mercy of Google algorithm updates tanking your biggest clients, causing them to maybe leave you.

Even if you have an update with your digital leasing asset, you still will be able to re-rank that site when the dust settles. But you won't be able to re-rank your clients site when they tank you.

And remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

5) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. With Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

Sure, Blueprint Training helps a little with SEO. But they are very strict on who can join, and push away any rookies to making money online. Not exactly friendly.

With Digital Leasing, you make money by helping local businesses make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either...a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Ryan Stewart's program, which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
