Dominick Carney Reviews (Updated [year]): What's He Trying To Sell You With Amazon FBA?

Introduction to Dominick Carney Reviews

You might have been scrolling through Instagram or YouTube when you saw Dominick Carney's face pop up on your screen, promising all kinds of financial freedom with his online personal training business.

It seems that he's been pushing all sorts of mindset tips and tricks on social media, but he might be best known for his Amazon FBA course.

So, why are you here?

It's a good question, right? You saw his ad, now you're going through Dominick Carney reviews trying to figure out which one actually has decent info about the guy. You might even have a million tabs open, searching up similar competition like the Rainmaker Challenge.

And I get it. It's tough sledding in this economy with everything getting more expensive, and the 9-5 grind sucks.

I also get that looking up Carney can be frustrating, because he barely has any real info out there, and half the links on his website don't work.

That said, you're in luck. I've been reviewing this kinda thing for years, and I've got a pretty good system down when it comes to separating the strong gurus from the bad eggs - no matter what industry. Take a look at my SEO guide or affiliate marketing niche article if you want some proof.

I'm gonna take you through the pros and cons you might not find in other Dom Carney reviews, we'll explore other options out there, and even check in to see if Amazon FBA is still viable today.

Let's get rollin' with our Dominick Carney review!

This Dominick Carney review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

  • Amazon FBA goes through Amazon, which means you'll have access to one of the most popular websites in the world.
  • Dom Carney tries to market to a youthful, urban crowd, and that means he may be more appealing to you than more corporate-feeling gurus.
  • Carney gives a lot of pep talks for free on his social media pages, which means you can get an idea of who he is before sending him any money.
  • Jeff Bezos and Amazon are taking bigger and bigger cuts of FBA stores' revenue, which means the future may be bleak for the industry.
  • Carney has basically abandoned his Facebook page, and many of his website's links don't work - which makes me wonder how committed he is to his students long-term.
  • Amazon FBA has become oversaturated, meaning you are going to run into intense competition.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - What's The Verdict On Dominick Carney?

dom carney reviews

So, is Dom Carney worth your money?

Almost certainly not...

...but that doesn't mean he's necessarily a scam artist.

It just seems like he's not as into teaching as he once was.

Now, he does occasionally use Instagram to post some vague inspirational content, but other than that, it seems like he's kind of given up on his AboveAve company.

As for his Amazon Profit Guide, the link to that doesn't even work anymore, so I'm not sure he's even trying to do that one either.

And on top of that, Amazon FBA is just not what it used to be with all the oversaturation these days, and I can't say that I like the idea of handing more and more revenue over to a huge corporation like Amazon.

On the other hand, I did stumble onto a pretty cool company the other day that is basically heading in the complete opposite direction than Dom Carney. They're gaining more and more popularity, and instead of a dying industry, all you'll be doing is bringing clients to local businesses.

Can you see a business never needing new customers? I didn't think so. It's kinda foolproof, if I'm being honest.

Who Benefits From Dom Carney's Program...And Who Should Avoid It?

Time Investment2/5Amazon FBA takes a lot of work and supply chain management.
Level of Control1/5Always have to stay ready so you don't get your account banned
Ease of Implementation2/5Lots of little ins and outs, hard to be successful with it these days.
Profit Potential1/5There's a reason it looks like Carney has left Amazon FBA - a lot of hassle for low profits.

I've been grinding this kinda stuff for a while now, so I have a good idea of what programs work for some students, and which ones fail no matter what.

Let's get right into it:

Dominick Carney might be for you if...

  1. You've done some work with Amazon FBA before (with someone like Sophie Howard)
  2. You like his youthful, energetic approach
  3. You like the idea of not working a 9-5

On the other hand, it probably doesn't make sense to join him if...

  1. You get frustrated by Dom's glitchy website
  2. You've heard bad things about him and it's scaring you off
  3. You'd rather work in an industry that isn't dependent on Jeff Bezos

When it comes to Amazon FBA, there aren't nearly as many gurus around these days as there used to be. I think a big reason for that is the bigger and bigger cuts that Amazon is taking from its FBA users.

Think about it...if you work your butt off to pull in revenue just to break even, then Amazon increases their take to 30%, 40%...50%...who knows how high they'll go?

At the end of the day, they know people will bend over backwards to do business on their website, so they'll keep kicking the little guy.

It seems like Dom Carney has already figured this out, because he hasn't really been pushing his Amazon course since 2021, and it may be out of business.

His IG shows that he's pushing "client acquisition systems" these days, which may be a fancy way of describing lead generation.

If this is the case, then at least he's on the right path...but his website and social media presence is still lacking, confusing, and shows he doesn't have the focus right now.

I'd say stick with lead generation, but find the right mentor for you.

Who Is Dominick Carney?

who is dominick carney net worth

Dom Carney made some big money off Amazon FBA third party sellers, and he says the profits from it (and selling a course about it) have changed his life forever.

Even though crushing FBA was once Dominick's life goal, he's moved onto other things. He likes to mention that he's since:

  • Paid all his college loans off using personal funds
  • Focused more on his personal training ideas
  • Flipped properties
  • Become a hotel investor
  • Launched an ATM business (?!)

That's a whole lot of everything.

If this has all really been working for him, then that's cool. But I personally find that doing all that while growing a family or trying to enjoy the rest of's just not that easy.

If you want complete financial freedom, focus on one thing, and succeed online with it.

Sometimes the best kind of entrepreneur remains committed to dominating competitors, even when times get tough.

Dominick Carney Net Worth:

These kind of sections are always a little silly, because unless you have an up-to-date look inside his bank account and investment's just hard to tell how something like "Dominick Carney net worth" is really doing.

If it's a Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos situation, sure, we can take a better guess.

But Dom Carney? He seems to have generated over a million dollars in sales at one point, but sales do NOT = profit. I'd say if he had any success from his course before he shut it down, he's gotta be worth over a million by now.

How Much Does Dominick Carney's Course Cost?

dom carney broken website

It looks like Dom's Amazon course used to sell for $1,497, although his website currently markets it as a "free Amazon cheatsheet"...but the link to that doesn't even work anymore.

All in all, it's a confusing mess.

Is Dominick Carney Legit Or Not?

Social PagesLink

As you can see, Dom has some weird inconsistencies among his different social media profiles, and none of them seem to promote the Amazon FBA course anymore. Dom Carney legit?

Well, he's probably not a scammer.

Heck, some people still try to push Amazon FBA courses, so at least I give him credit for shifting to better industries.

Personal Opinion On Dominick Carney

So, how do you choose the right mentor?

  • Make sure they have a dedicated passion for what they're teaching
  • Check out some online reviews to see if people are actually buying into it
  • Think about if their business model can last long-term

Dom Carney's pretty rough as far as gurus go, if we're being honest.

But to be fair, how about a quick 3 things I like about him:

  1. Young and energetic hustle
  2. Might be getting into lead generation, a stronger industry
  3. Seems like a family man, possibly trustworthy

...and, to be fair, 3 things I don't really like:

  1. His website is broken down and dated
  2. Facebook page is abandoned, unclear what his goals are
  3. Amazon FBA is a dying industry

What’s Inside Dom Carney's program?

dom carney course

As you can tell by the image above, Carney hasn't bothered to keep his Click Funnels account up to date, so his course's sales funnel is blocked off.

But from what I can tell, he used to offer things like:

  • A private Facebook group
  • Private training, usually an expensive upsell
  • A support system with experienced coaches

It looks like his Mastermind System has 10 modules, and 6 bonus features...

...but as far as I can tell, it's all just sitting around rotting now.

I hope that Dom Carney really has figured out there there are better ways of securing multiple streams of income, because there really are great options out there!

Dom Carney Reviews: Conclusion

So, what'll it be?

I'm gonna pass on Dom Carney, at least until he focuses more on his online program.

If you really wanna DM him to see what he's got for you, go ahead. But I prefer a company and a mentor who is more forthcoming and stays on top of their business.

Like I said earlier, if Carny is really getting into lead generation, then that is a smart move on his end.

Maybe one day he'll end up with the crazy momentum I've been seeing with my number 1 recommendation in that industry...

What Is My #1 Way To Make Money Online in 2024?

Digital Leasing

I have spent years researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With Dominick Carney's course, you don’t really own anything. Yes, you technically own the products before you send them into an Amazon warehouse, but that’s it.

With Carney, you don’t own the sales platform, you don’t own a brand, and you don’t own the customers.
Not to mention, Amazon can literally shut you down at any time if they believe you’ve violated their constantly changing terms of service.

So you’re building a business that could be completely taken away from you in the blink of an eye, just as fast as Carney seems to have abandoned the industry himself.

With Digital Leasing, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket...even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.

4) No Inventory: As mentioned above, with Dom Carney, you'll be spending 4-5 hours a day prepping and packing products to send to Amazon - it's a huge time commitment.

With physical products, you’ll always have limits on your time and freedom.

With Digital Leasing, a 100% online business, you never have to worry about that.

5) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with Amazon FBA, you’d have to double your inventory OR your profit margins. And, guaranteed that’s a lot harder than a few clicks and a few minutes of your life.

6) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. Amazon FBA is a decent way to make yourself money, but it doesn’t improve anyone else’s lives.

After all, there’s always someone else selling rubber spatulas and umbrellas. That might be fine in the short term, but in the long run you may feel like you’re missing a purpose.

With Digital Leasing though, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem…

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either...a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like with Dominick Carney, who could one day make you money if he ever pays his ClickFunnel subscription again.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
