Beyond BNB Secrets Reviews (Updated [year]): Is Dr. Chau Ong Legit?

Introduction: Beyond BNB Secrets Reviews

Dr. Chau Ong is a flamboyant man who claims to hold all the secrets that'll turn your Airbnb business into a powerful way of generating income.

His program is called Beyond BNB Secrets, where he focuses more on corporate housing opportunities as opposed to short term rentals.

Now, you probably stumbled onto this guy after scrolling through social media and seeing a flashy ad pop up...right?

And the reason you saw that ad is either because you fit a target demographic of Dr. Chau's, or maybe you've been clicking around, trying to see how you can make some money online.

Now you're down the rabbit hole, searching up Beyond BNB Secrets reviews, trying to see which article actually makes sense, maybe even looking up some of Dr. Chau's competition, like Brian Page's BNB Formula.

Well, I've got some good news.

You see, I've been grinding through these programs for years now, and I've seen it all. Affiliate marketing niches, dropshipping schemes, you name it. Unfortunately, there are always gonna be those gurus who wanna score a few (thousand) bucks off unsuspecting students...

...but there are also great programs, with solid mentors who care.

I'm going to help you figure out the pros and cons of what Dr. Chau has to offer, we'll see how much all this costs, and then explore some alternatives to see what works best for you.

Alright, let's get cookin' with our Beyond BNB review!

DISCLAIMER:

This Beyond BNB Secrets review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • It's pretty obvious people can make good money from Airbnb, and that means you don't have to sit around wondering if it's even possible.
  • Dr. Chau seems to post a lot on social media, meaning at least you know he'll be active.
  • Real estate is the world's oldest wealth builder, which means Airbnb real estate projects should be around for a while.
CONS
  • Vacation rentals in particular can fluctuate wildly depending on the weather and season, meaning you need to make sure you plan everything just right - or risk losing it all.
  • Very much reliant on the economy, as people are more likely to go on vacation when things are good - but that means if something like the COVID pandemic happens again, you're gonna suffer.
  • Too many people are trying to do the same thing, which could mean that Airbnb will be too oversaturated for you to get your fair share of the pie.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - What's The Verdict On Beyond BNB Secrets?

dr chau ong reviews

Beyond BNB Secrets teaches its student show to make money from Airbnb rental arbitrage, whether it's a side-hustle or full-time.

Dr. Chau Ong, the course's founder, is trying to be different from other programs. Most of those ones you'll find are focused on how to make money off a short term rental, but Chau says his Airbnb secrets will be more about the corporate housing business.

So, what the heck is the corporate housing business?!

Basically, think about a company sending one of their employees out of state for a week, or even months at a time. This is especially common with big organizations that have factories or operations all around the country, for example.

With a short term rental, often people are just staying for a weekend away, or maybe a week at max. With this focus on the corporate stays, you might be able to score a guest that'll be there for months at a time!

This isn't a bad idea, as it means you won't have to keep cleaning and preparing your rental spot for the next guest, or taking new requests all the time from people looking to spend a night.

And, of course, guaranteed income is always nice.

But is this too niche?

Dr. Chau lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, which is one of the most populated areas in the country. So maybe that's possible. But what if you're not in an area like that?

Can you really guarantee that companies will keep sending employees to your spot all the time? From what I'm aware, usually big corporations have deals with hotels, not Airbnb.

Anyway, I think this is a decent, outside-the-box concept...

...but I still don't think it's the best option you have if you're trying to score some real financial freedom. Personally, I try to avoid something that's too saturated, but also other niches that keep you dependent on random factors.

Call me boring, but I'd rather keep things simple, like with lead generation - where your job is to bring in clients for small, local businesses, who are desperate for the help. You're the boss, and you can basically work in any state across the USA - and around the world.

It's basically recession-proof (and pandemic-proof), since businesses will always demand more clients. All you have to do is provide the supply, and you can probably end up working from the beach.

Anyway, if you're into all that, give Digital Leasing a look.

The students seem extremely passionate about what they're doing - not just getting by, but creating their own future.

That said, if you'd like to hear some more about Dr. Chau Ong reviews, let's keep on rolling.

Who Benefits From Beyond BNB Secrets...And Who Doesn't?

AreaScoreDescription
Time Investment2/5Lots of time to figure out real estate ins/outs, unless you already have rental units ready to go. Keeping up the homes takes time.
Level of Control2/5All depends if people wanna rent out your units or not, can change based on the weather.
Ease of Implementation2/5Lots to learn for rookies...Airbnb is easy to use, but there are a lot of little things that add up into big things.
Profit Potential3/5If everything goes exactly according to plan with no mistakes or problems...then you can do pretty well. One bad renter can make things a lot harder.

Beyond BNB Secrets might be for you if...

  • You've got a lot of money to invest with
  • You're not scared of a lot of competition
  • You've had some fun with other real estate courses (like Gator Lending)

On the other hand, it probably doesn't make sense to join him if...

  1. You've seen renters destroy units before, and it concerns you
  2. You don't see a lot of reliability with corporate housing
  3. You just want a course that does "normal" Airbnb stuff

Business Model

Airbnb is a cool model in general, but I'm a little confused why Dr. Chau limits himself to just the corporate side of things. Short term rentals are viable as well, after all.

But I gotta say, I see major issues with both, especially when I compare the volatile real estate industry with something like lead generation.

If you're a rookie, and you don't wanna spend over $10,000 to get started, you'll have to look elsewhere than real estate if you want to get up and going in a hurry.

I always try to get readers to jump on the next big thing, not the thing that everyone's already trying to do. You know?

Who Is Dr. Chau Ong?

who is dr chau ong beyond bnb secrets

Dr. Chau Ong is a full-time guru who makes most of his money doing big-time events with guys like Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, and Russel Branson, and selling some courses to students like you.

So...what's the deal with the "doctor" part?!

Well, it turns out he used to be a pharmacist back home in Asia, until he came over and decided to give the American Dream a shot.

I'm gonna guess his bank account is definitely thanking him for that move. It's pretty crazy that he's done so well, because after listening to some of his videos, I realized he speaks broken English with a heavy accent!

That's not an insult by the way, it's impressive. If he can persuade tons of people to pay him to speak and teach them when he doesn't even fully speak the language, then what excuse do the rest of us have, right?

One of my concerns with Dr. Chau is that he's gotten a little too busy and too famous to have time to deliver quality mentorship, but it's tough to say.

How Much Does Beyond BNB Secrets Cost?

how much does beyond bnb secrets cost dr chau

Something I really don't like is when gurus hide the costs of their course.

All I can find on Dr. Chau's website is some $9 5-day challenge, which is just a way to get you on the phone with their sales team so they can pitch you on higher-ticket courses.

However, after digging around for answers, I have seen numbers around $8,000 a year ago, all the way up to $14,997 very recently.

All in all, this would be a high level of investment, especially if you don't already own an Airbnb home to rent out.

In addition, he recently did an event in Texas where it costed guests about $700 to attend in-person, or $400 to see it online.

What Is Dr. Chau's Refund Policy?

Unfortunately, I can't find anything regarding refunds on Dr. Chau's web pages...

...so if you're gonna buy into his services, just be prepared to possibly say goodbye to that investment for good!

Dr. Chau is definitely an interesting character.

But is Beyond BNB Secrets legit?

I don't think it's a scam, if that's what you're asking. I think this is a pretty specific niche that comes with some risks, and I do have concerns that Dr. Chau has gotten a little "too big" to provide intimate mentorship for anything under $10,000...

...but that doesn't mean he's an awful guy or a scam artist.

It's cool to see how far he's come, and that the American Dream is still alive and well to some extent.

I'm just not really buying into an unpredicatable, unstable industry. I like to know when my money's coming in, and I don't really wanna babysit anyone staying in my homes, you know?

No playing games, no big loans, just bringing in a steady flow of clients for local businesses.

Personal Opinion On Dr. Chau

dr chau tiktok

Listen, real estate is always gonna have some ways to make money, and I will admit that Dr. Chau has come up with a creative niche within all that.

But you can pick the most foolproof industry out there, and still mess up if you pick the wrong mentor.

So, how do I recommend you choose the right program?

  • Make sure the mentor's energy fits with your style
  • Think about the business model, and imagine yourself doing it 10 years from now
  • Consider how much money you're willing to invest

Dr. Chau isn't the worst guru out there. There's some room for concern, but let's be fair.

How about a quick 3 things I like about him and his program:

  1. Inspirational "rags to riches" story, even if being a pharmacist isn't that bad
  2. Airbnb doesn't seem to be going anywhere
  3. If all goes well, you'll have long-term rentals with less maintenance

...and, to be fair, 3 things I don't really like:

  1. Renters can destroy your properties, and Airbnb often protects them
  2. Most businesses send their employees to hotels, not Airbnb
  3. There is a high cost of investment, especially for rookies without any property

What's Inside Beyond BNB Secrets?

Whats Inside Beyond BNB Secrets

Not to be confused with Beyond BNB, which is a very similarly named but different program, Dr. Chau's BNB Secrets has an interesting focus on corporate housing instead of short term rentals.

His course is on the shorter side, with only 4 modules:

  1. Airbnb secrets
  2. Beyond Airbnb Secrets
  3. Step-By-Step How to Set Up Your Airbnb
  4. Airbnb Tours & Bonuses

Chau also discusses something he calls the FAST Method:

F - Find the right location

A - Ask to sublease

S - Setup to Stand Out

T Tap Into Corporate Clients

As quick and easy as all of this sounds, I do have a major concern:

If the business model can be taught so quickly and to-the-point...couldn't you get most of this info from his YouTube channel, where he posts free content fairly regularly?

I'd start there first, if you're dead-set on trying out Dr. Chau's course.

Conclusion: Beyond BNB Review

So, do I recommend you send your hard-earned cash over to Dr. Chau Ong?

Probably not.

Some of you reading this might already have your own Airbnb homes, so you're already locked in and committed to the industry. If that's the case, then go ahead, take a look at Dr. Chau's YouTube channel and see what you can get from the free stuff.

As for the rest of you, I just think there are way better options when it comes to scoring some of that sweet financial freedom...do you really wanna jump into the crazy world of real estate, with all the legal mumbo jumbo and unpredictability?

It's just not for me.

On the other hand, if you wanna stack some cash in a short period of time...well, I recommend Digital Leasing.

These guys seem to know what they're doing, and there will always be a demand for what you're supplying: more customers! You just generate some leads for local companies online, and they send a monthly paycheck to your bank account.

It's pretty cool, and I feel like I gotta recommend it to my readers after stumbling onto it.

Remember, there's always another way when it comes to scoring some real financial freedom.
