Roughnecks Ecom is a program that specialized in Done For You services, mostly focused on Amazon dropshipping and "OnlyFans Automation."

The name of his actual ecommerce course is Roughnecks Ecom Bootcamp, and it runs about six weeks with info on selling phones, running Facebook Ads, and Amazon Dropshipping. He offers a mentorship opportunity to work alongside him, although it's not clear what exactly he means by that.

I will say that Reco offers some unique aspects to his program that I've never really seen before: flipping phones, and working as an agent for OnlyFans models. Some folks are not big fans of OnlyFans (and it is illegal in some countries), but it is interesting to note.

For the purpose of this review, I'm gonna focus on the Amazon automation side of things, where Reco basically hires a bunch of foreign workers to run your Amazon dropshipping operation for you.

He also has a challenge called "The Gauntlet", where he has two students face off in a sales-competition where the winner gets a free iPad, which is kinda fun.

However, I do have some concerns here, like how he doesn't have any kind of actual website to look over. Transparency can go a long way, but all we're left with are his social media pages and their hype videos.

The even bigger concern for me is that dropshipping is getting kind of old, something even Amazon sellers have acknowledged in the past.

I love a solid challenge, but if I'm gonna send my life savings over to some guy, then I need a strong business plan with a reliable business model. Amazon FBA just has a ton of barriers these days, and Jeff Bezos does not care about helping "the little guy".

If I'm looking to start an online business, then I wanna get in on the ground floor - not squeeze into an elevator that's already overflowing with people. That's oversaturation.

2. You vibe with Reco's energy

2. You don't like the idea of forfeiting huge $'s of your revenue to Amazon

Amazon FBA was a very hot ticket in the 2010's, but these days?

Not so much.

One of the major issues is that you can end up paying out the wazoo if you're storing all the stuff yourself in garages. And even if you don't have to do that, you'll end up paying folks overseas in China to handle things for you.

How's your Mandarin these days? Cantonese?

My point is that unless you have some close ties to Chinese suppliers, you are gonna be behind the 8-ball when it comes to launching your own ecommerce business. You could accidentally pick an unreliable connection, and then your shipments get delayed, and then you get a bad review...

...and bad reviews, especially early on, can sink your Amazon ship before it even leaves the port.

In addition to other sellers with more reliable suppliers, your Chinese competition will almost always be able to beat you on price, leaving you with thin profit margins. And in addition to that, Jeff Bezos keeps taking bigger and bigger slices of the money-pie out of the sellers' pockets.

Apparently, Reco got his start flipping phones on Craigslist, slowly moving over to dropshipping on eBay after that. And then he managed to jump on the Amazon bandwagon while the FBA/dropshipping craze was still in action.

In 2019, he launched Roughnecks Ecom, where he helps students learn how to make some big bucks selling products online.

Other than all that, he apparently invests in real estate, while also serving as an agent for OnlyFans models.

It looks like the Roughnecks Ecom cost is over $20,000, which is a pretty steep starting price for a lot of people.

Knowing how ecom works, you will have other expenses on top of that every month as well, and any 1-on-1 access to Reco will ad up as well.

You'll have to save up a lot of money if you wanna work with Reco Jefferson.

So, how do you choose the right program?

• Make sure the guru is trustworthy
• Figure out the costs, both up front and monthly
• Think about if this is really something you can see yourself doing forever

Most Amazon programs are tough to like, and this one isn't much different.

However, in all fairness, let's do a quick 3 things I like about this one:

1. Reco has a few years of experience
2. Offers a unique variety of programs
3. His "exclusive mentorship" may be worth investigating

...and, to be fair, 3 things I don't really like:

1. Amazon FBA is way too oversaturated
2. Huge expenses every step of the way
3. Lacks transparency

It's hard to say.

It does seem like he has a real course and Done for You process, but it is a little weird that he doesn't have a real website, while also happening to charge a high price for tips on an industry that got super oversaturated after 2020.

Some courses acknowledge that it's easy to get your account banned and lose everything with Amazon, while providing help with avoiding that. But I don't see anything like that here.

Instead, try something solid where you'll be helping out local companies, while making a steady paycheck every month, and you don't have to live with anxiety worrying about your website being taken down overnight. The choice is yours!

So...should fork over the big bucks for Reco Jefferson's services?

I wouldn't.

Even if you really wanna do Amazon FBA, or dropshipping...or OnlyFans...I think there are stronger options out there.

And for everyone else...why would you want to make your life even harder when trying to get a business off the ground?

These business models are just outdated and aren't worth your time or money.

I really recommend trying that Digital Leasing thing - you have to put a little work in at the beginning, but after that, you can sit back and watch your bank account grow...

...who knows, maybe you can even try this gig from the beach.
