Bye 9 To 5 Review (Updated [year]): Is Jordan Mackey's Faceless YouTube Course The Best?

Introduction To My Bye 9 To 5 Review

"Bye 9 To 5" is a YouTube automation program being ran by a guy named Jordan Mackey.

It's all about the latest craze in YouTube gurus: creating a "faceless" YouTube channel, where you take stock footage and clip it all together without ever actually putting yourself on camera.

It's attractive to people who see the popularity of YouTube and want in on some of that "influencer money" but don't feel comfortable recording themselves. It seems like the course is also sometimes known as Jordan Mackey's "Tube Monetization", but it's all the same thing.

With the way the economy is going, it makes a lot of sense why folks are looking to jump out of the 9-5 grind. Things keep getting more expensive, but your paycheck stays the same, right? Not a good formula for success, if you ask me.

I'm guessing you were on YouTube when you saw one of Mackey's ads hyping up how to get rich with just a Google Adsense account and a niche to build into a YouTube business.

But it does sound a little too good to be true, doesn't it?

The theory with YouTube Automation is that you pay someone to edit existing videos together, they churn 'em out on YouTube, they all go viral, you get rich...

...or so the story goes.

But hey, I have ran into a few legit YouTube courses out there, so it is possible to find a great one.

It's actually a great sign that you're here, because you have to be safe these days. Heck, you might have even checked out some digital marketers in other online programs like Iman Gadzhi or Home Business Academy to see if they have anything better to offer.

Luckily for you, you've come to the right place.

See, I've been grinding through all kinds of programs and their gurus for years now, covering all sorts of stuff from dropshipping niches to how to become a real estate investor. After you keep doing it long enough, it gets pretty easy to figure out who the sketchy folks are, and who's doing it the right way.

So, I'll help you slug through the pros and cons of Jordan Mackey's Tube Monetization and Automation program, we'll see how much it all costs, and then I'll even show you a few alternatives to this industry altogether.

Now, let's dive into our Bye 9 To 5 review!

DISCLAIMER:

This Bye 9 To 5 review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • YouTube is growing all the time, which means you'll have a nice potential audience built in.
  • Automation is all about paying other to do the work for you, which means more free time for yourself.
  • There is a private Facebook group, which means you can discuss strategy with others.
CONS
  • Clipping stock footage together usually doesn't result in high-quality videos, which means you may find it hard to go viral.
  • Automation sounds great, but it also means you have higher expenses to overcome.
  • It can take years to grow a consistent audience of followers, which means you'll need a ton of patience.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - What's The Verdict On Bye 9 To 5?

what is bye 9 to 5 jordan mackey

If this is the first time you've heard of "faceless YouTube videos", then it probably sounds a little weird to ya!

As I've mentioned, this is just an interesting way of saying you don't have to jump in front of a camera while creating YouTube videos. This can definitely be appealing, although the reality behind Mackey's Bye 9 to 5 program can be a little less exciting than all that sounds.

In reality, you're probably not gonna be making groundbreaking videos - you're gonna pay someone (likely cheap foreign workers) to be editing videos together of existing stock footage. That means video content that is copyright-free, and anyone can use.

My concern is that this program is kind of in a "no man's land".

If you're very passionate about starting an amazing YouTube channel that puts out high-level quality, then this isn't for you. And if you're just someone who really wants to make some quick money...well, this isn't really for you either.

If going viral was so easy, everyone would do it! The reality is that the only way you might have shot of making money with this path is by creating affiliate marketing videos or playing around with the search engine optimization side of things, because your content is not gonna be very strong.

If you're looking to make artsy, creative videos, then you'll have to look elsewhere. But if you wanna make some money online, then I know EXACTLY what you need to check out:

Digital Leasing.

It's a simple thing, really: you just bring in customers to local businesses, and they keep stacking cash in your hands month after month. Pretty much the opposite of Bye 9 To 5, where you might make a few bucks after years of grinding. Why make things harder on yourself?

The Digital Leasing students seem extremely passionate about what they're doing - not just getting by, but creating their own future.

Digital Leasing Legit

That said, if you'd like to hear some more about my Jordan Mackey Review, let's keep on rolling.

Who Benefits From Bye 9 To 5...And Who Doesn't?

Who Benefits From Bye 9 To 5...And Who Doesn't

AreaScoreDescription
Time Investment1/5Can take years to see any money.
Level of Control1/5YouTube algorithms are always changing, and you aren't even making the videos.
Ease of Implementation2/5Kind of easy to start a channel, hard to do it right.
Profit Potential1/5Really hard to make money here, even when adding in affiliate marketing.

Sometimes there are really great programs out there, but then you listen to the guru talk and it's like nails on a chalkboard. Other times, you can be drawn in by a coach who knows exactly what to say... but then you find out the business model is garbage.

With that in mind, Bye 9 To 5 might be for you if...

  1. You've always wanted to try to make money off YouTube, but you're shy
  2. You already spend too much time on YouTube and wanna make it productive
  3. You've tried other odd programs (like Mobile Site Sniper) and had a good time

On the other hand, it probably doesn't make sense to join Mackey if...

  1. You can't afford to wait year for a payday
  2. You think it's interesting that Jordan Mackey only has one video over 66k views
  3. You'd rather create passionate, artistic videos than clip stock footage together

Passive Channels At A 1,000 FT View

passive channels jordan mackey

Creating a YouTube channel can be a profitable business model when done right - as folks like Logan or Jake Paul have already proven. However, YouTube Automation is basically an entirely different industry altogether.

Instead of driving your channel with authentic passion and innovation, you're just taking other people's work and paying a foreign worker to paste it all together for you. Considering all the competition you'll be facing in the world of YouTube, this sounds like a bad way to stand out.

And then there's the matter of expenses. If you're paying a worker to do all your videos, then you have to earn way more to actually get to the profits that may one day be possible.

I say "one day" because you have to score a bunch of viral videos if you want a lot of subscribers and the consistency that comes with all that. It's a little easier to pull it off if you have an electric personality or something, but considering some people are more scared of public speaking than death itself, it makes sense that some folks just aren't into all that.

It's a really tough biz out there. Here are some stats on what it takes to earn money on YouTube:

how much money do you make on youtube

Yup, you'll need to be scoring a million views to make $5,000.

Not bad if you can keep doing it, but it's not necessarily an easy thing to rack up that many views. For example, Jordan Mackey's best video by far doesn't even have 300k views, and his latest videos were uploaded over a year ago.

This all might be leaving you feeling a little disappointed, but don't worry - I won't leave you hanging.

Just because YouTube automation is on a sinking ship, doesn't mean you have to drown on it. Instead, try grabbing ahold of the Digital Leasing life preserver. Think about if you had gotten in on the ground floor of Bitcoin, right? It's time to stop playing games, and take control of your life.

Who Is Jordan Mackey?

who is jordan mackey

Jordan Mackey comes from Nebraska, where he graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Unfortunately, all his Master's degree in Business Psychology really got him was a pile of student debt.

He tried getting out of this hole by taking on a 9-5 grind as an analyst, but when he realized that he could make a ton of money by starting up a program online, he jumped on it.

His first endeavor was called "Passive Channels", and then he moved onto his "Bye 9 To 5" program.

It's unclear how good Mackey really is at YouTube, since he doesn't really have a ton of viral vids, and he hasn't posted a new video in over a year.

That said, he seems to focus on affiliate marketing strategies as a way to supplement his income on his YouTube channels, and his course seems to be popular.

How Much Does Bye 9 To 5 Cost?

how much does bye 9 to 5 cost

The first offer you'll get on the Bye 9 To 5 website is for a free training session, and although this may be tempting - it's just a webinar where you will basically be pitched on spending more on Mackey's course.

While the Bye 9 To 5 cost is not posted on the website, I did manage to dig around and discover that it's been going for $697.

What Is Bye 9 To 5's Refund Policy?

bye 9 to 5 refund policy

While Jordan Mackey does provide a 120-day refund policy, it's one of those cringe ones where you have to jump through a ton of hoops to see a cent from it.

This means you'll have to create, edit, and upload at least 40 videos (on top of "showing your work" everywhere else) within 120 days to get your money back.

For perspective, Jordan Mackey's has around 120 videos on his YouTube page since 2018...that's about an average of 20 videos per year and he's expecting you to throw down 40 three months!!

You might as well just go into this as if there is no refund policy.

Personal Opinion On Bye 9 To 5

is bye 9 to 5 scam or legit

So, how do I recommend you choose the right program?

  • Think about the guru's energy and if they're a good fit for you
  • Ask yourself if this business model really makes sense
  • Consider if you'd really be able to do this for the rest of your life

In case it's not obvious, I'm really not a fan of YouTube automation.

But to be fair, how about a quick 3 things I like about Mackey and his program:

  1. YouTube is a growing platform, you could go viral at any time
  2. Automation can save you a bunch of time
  3. Mackey has been doing this since 2018, so he does have some experience

...and, to be fair, 3 things I don't really like:

  1. It might take years to see any profits
  2. Mackey is your mentor, but he doesn't even post YouTube videos anymore
  3. Sketchy refund policy

Is There A Bye 9 To 5 Scam Going On Here?

"Bye 9 To 5 scam" shows up a bunch when you're looking up the course, which can be a little concerning to some people.

But is Jordan Mackey really running a scam?

It depends what you mean...

...technically a scam is something where a guru promises all sorts of big things, takes your money, and then you get absolutely nothing in return.

I know Bye 9 to 5 sounds a little like a scam to some people, but I do think that Mackey will at least try to give you as much knowledge as he can.

I don't really think that any YouTube automation course is worth paying for, in all honesty. If you really wanna go out and make YouTube videos as a passion project, then there are plenty of free tips out there for ya. You just gotta go out and do what you love.

But if you're out here thinking Mackey will be able to get you financial freedom through a faceless YouTube channel?

I seriously doubt it.

It just takes a ton of luck, passion, and a creative differentiator to be able to consistently break through and earn money with YouTube...especially if you wanna do it sooner than later.

Most people cannot afford to wait years for their first paycheck. Instead, I recommend Digital Leasing, where you can get your new business off the ground in a week or so if you do it the right way. Save your money that you'd put into a cold and sterile YouTube channel, and become your own boss...

...take control of your life, and actually do something useful for your community!

What's Inside Bye 9 To 5?

whats inside bye 9 to 5

For all the lack of transparency in some areas of Mackey's offerings, I will give him a ton of credit for sharing all about what you'll actually get inside his automation program.

Apparently, you will get over 55 hours of strategy-based video content, 300+ video tutorials, and over 80 in-depth modules that could help you boost your YouTube plan of attack.

I don't have the space to dig into all of them, but here are the subjects you'll have access to:

  • Welcome and Overview
  • Choosing Your Perfect Niche
  • YouTube Basics
  • Passing Monetization Review
  • Instant Monetization
  • Video Topic Research
  • Creating and Editing Your Videos
  • SEO Secrets for Truly Going Viral
  • Advanced Monetization Techniques
  • My Three Niche Case Studies
  • Outsourcing and Automation
  • Affiliate Marketing on YouTube Income Exploder
  • Affiliate marketing Networks
  • Affiliate Marketing Strategies
  • Affiliate Marketing with Your Channel
  • High Ticket Offers
  • Non-YouTube Affiliate Marketing Strategies
  • Affiliate Marketing Mindset
  • Helpful Affiliate Marketing Resources
  • Tube Monetization & Automation Bonuses

It does seem like there's a lot of redundancy here, as well as a HUGE focus on affiliate marketing ideas. I could get into affiliate marketing, but it's really got its own issues all to itself.

I can see how it would benefit your bottom line, but you'd still need to build a good following to make any use of those tactics.

In addition to all this, you get 6 "bonuses" (which are really just extra things everyone gets), access to the private Facebook group, and you get some individual coaching with Jordan.

Conclusion Of My Jordan Mackey Review

So, should you hand over your money to Bye 9 To 5?

I wouldn't.

Jordan could be the coolest guru out there, but it doesn't really matter if the business model doesn't work. Unfortunately, that's exactly what we're running into here.

And on top of that, given that Jordan Mackey hasn't posted any YouTube videos over the past year, I have concerns about his dedication to the program or keeping his own skills sharp.

The promises that you get with YouTube automation are often things like "scoring financial freedom", making a ton of money and having more time for friends and family...

...but they just don't deliver.

Digital Leasing takes those failed promises and actually gets the job done. All you gotta do is bring in customers to local business owners, and they'll keep throwing money at you to keep the good times rolling. It's a hjgh-upside play with all sorts of stability locked in.

Who knows, maybe you'll even work from the beach one day...

  1. Flexibility: Whether you have just an hour to spare or want to go full-time, Digital Leasing is tailored for "passive income" – more gains with less effort.
  2. Ownership and Control: Digital Leasing grants you outright ownership of assets, ensuring control and impressive profit margins ranging from 90-95%.

  4. Minimal Ongoing Expenses: Digital Leasing keeps it straightforward with minimal maintenance and expenses.
On the other hand, labor is typically one of the largest expenses you can ever rack up. That's the downside to automation.

Way better than having to double the amount of stock footage videos you have to churn out.
