World Ventures MLM Review: Scam Or Legit Business Opportunity?

What is WorldVentures?

WorldVentures is a company founded in 2005 by Wayne Nugent. Nugent had the vision to build a company that improves members' spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, and financial lives.

This sounds great, but WorldVentures is actually:

A privately held corporation that provides travel solutions to assist in connecting its global network.

They provide a platform known as "Dream Trips Life," essentially web scraping software that finds the best travel deals and hosts them on your website.

This review will go over World Ventures to see if it really is the best Network Marketing out there.

Now, I want to be completely up front in this review, so...

You'll learn whether Network Marketing is the right online business for you.

And at the end, you'll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions regarding World Ventures and Network Marketing in general.

But most importantly, you'll see the exact system many others have used to build their own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.

This system made them swear off Network Marketing for good, because it uses some of the same skills but in a much more powerful and profitable way!

DISCLAIMER:

This WorldVentures review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

How WorldVenture Gets Vacation Package Deals

What is WorldVentures

Consider WorldVentures to be a Costo Wholesale buyer who goes out and buys many spaces in various resorts around the world and then sells them as retail packages to individual customers.

This presents both the Good and the Bad:

The Good

  • Vacation packages can be appealing.
  • Earning points while spending money is also a source of income.

The Bad

  • Options may be limited when compared to standard Expedia or Costco travel.
  • You may end up traveling with other WorldVenture members.
  • Even if you're not traveling, you'll have to pay recurring monthly fees.

WorldVentures is essentially wrapped up in an MLM companies structure.

Let's say you've decided to go with WorldVentures because you want to travel - here are the main drawbacks:

Monthly Charges

Because the people who recruited you have to earn commission from you. Even if you're not traveling for health reasons or a global pandemic COVID19 (hopefully never again), you will still have to pay the monthly fee.

And WorldVentures has this to say about it:

So you keep earning points by eating out, etc., and when you're ready, you can use them.

If you can really put this program to use, it's definitely worth it, but if you realize you won't be able to earn points all the time, well, you'll have to pay those fees.

Limited Availability

WorldVentures, like any Time Share, has arrangements around the world where they buy spaces in select hotels/resorts. That means I can't just point to any hotel in the world and book a room.

Even if a hotel is on the WorldVentures list, it may not be available when you want to visit, or you may need to work with other WV members to make it happen. This is entirely dependent on the destination.

It's not bad for some people, but many others will be surprised to learn about these inconveniences.

And I hope your representative provides you with all of the specifics. Hence, you know what to expect when you commit to WorldVentures.

The catch is that you must pay to become a member to view these deals. While having them all in one place is convenient, the problem with World Ventures is that you are paying for information that is freely available on other websites. Furthermore, World Ventures negotiates group rates for members, which adds value to their offering.

While determining whether World Ventures provides real value is a hot topic, we're here to look at the Representative Business System (RBS) opportunity. This enables others to profit by recruiting new members to World Ventures.

How Much Does World Ventures Cost?

World Ventures Cost

This is the most recent pricing information and monthly membership fee for three Membership Levels, including the new Silver plan:

  • The Silver package from DreamTrips costs $25 plus a $25 monthly fee. This earns you no points.
  • The Dream Trips Gold package costs $200, plus a $57 monthly fee. This entitles you to 140 travel points (TPs) upon enrollment and an additional 684 TPs at the end of your first year.
  • A Dream Trips Platinum package is available for $300 upfront and a $100 monthly fee, with 200 enrollment points and up to 1200 after your first anniversary.

What is the WorldVentures Compensation Plan

WorldVentures Compensation Plan

As with any Multi-Level Marketing company, the compensation plan is structured in a pyramid, with you at the top and then building the left and the right team.

However, as you can see from their own pdf file, WorldVentures employs two types of organizational structures compensation plan: Lineage and Binary.

So, basically, you earn money with WorldVentures Compensation Plan in two ways:

  1. You can get paid to promote the company's products and services (travel packages).
  2. Earn recurring commissions by recruiting people into the system.

Training Tools/Support

World Ventures support

World Ventures provides excellent comprehensive support through the following channels:

1. Your primary Sponsor's support

So, if you have a knowledgeable sponsor, you're in good hands; if not, you'll have to rely more heavily on other resources.

2. QuickCoach

This is a series of videos that you can quickly access to get all of your answers. So it's similar to your Quick guide.

3. The Advantage of WorldVentures

This is their primary training, and it is aimed at:

  • Personal advancement
  • Recruitment
  • How to Make Money Selling
  • How to deal with objections, and so on.

4. Live Shows

There are numerous Live Events, as with any MLM company or Network Marketing company, which include:

  • Regional Events
  • Training Schools
  • Bootcamps

If you're wondering how big this company is, it has over 10,000 members operating in more than 40 countries worldwide. At their events, they draw large crowds.

Do People Make Money with WorldVentures?

Make Money with WorldVentures

Here's some data from BBB alerts that will give you an idea of how many people actually make money and what the average commission is:

Through multi-level marketing, WorldVentures promotes membership in discount vacation clubs and the sale of travel services. "Independent representatives" are people who pay a business opportunity fee to sell WorldVentures' products or services.

According to WorldVentures' 2016 Annual Income Disclosure Statement, 79.95% of independent representatives did not earn a commission or override between January 2016 and December 2016. The median commission or override earned by the 20.05 percent of independent representatives was $200.

This data was initially available for the year 2014. Still, the most recent data for 2021 is not yet known. Still, it seems to be very similar, except that the median earned in 2016 was $200, whereas the median earned in 2014 was $40.

So, how about WorldVentures' own Income Disclosure Statement, which basically states that people who join worldventures make very little money and even lose money.

As you can see, people make very little money with WorldVentures because it is difficult to recruit people and sell this business opportunity. In addition, there are numerous ways to make money online today.

Is World Ventures Scam?

Scam or Legit

There have been numerous World Ventures complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Many World Ventures reviews claim that the product was over-hyped and under-delivered.

The website's content is easily accessible on other free internet websites. It's easier said than done persuading people to pay for that.

Another issue with the World Ventures RBS system is that recruiters are frequently deceptive.

However, this is a common misconception that the product will sell itself. A business opportunity can be challenging to sell to people who don't want to put money upfront.

While it is not a scam because it has a product and a complete business model structure, I do not recommend you to join world ventures.

It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful network marketing business... But there are better ways to build a business other than with network marketing.

Our #1 pick proves this.

Because, unlike World Ventures, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.

World Ventures Pros/Cons

[caption id="attachment_44432" align="aligncenter" width="569"]World Ventures Pros and Cons World Ventures Pros and Cons[/caption]

PROS:

  • You can save time by putting all of your information in one place.
  • The compensation plans are reasonable.
  • If you understand how to market VW, you may be able to profit from the system.

CONS:

  • You are paying for freely available information.
  • You must pay to receive a commission.
  • The company has a bad reputation, which can make it challenging to recruit. According to the disclosure statement, this is not a rewarding opportunity.
  • Vacation packages may be in short supply.

It is a pro whenever technology can make your life easier. World Ventures accomplishes this by aggregating travel deals from across the web on a single website.

They also have good compensation plans if you can recruit members and persuade them to join WorldVentures.

While there is profit potential, there are numerous disadvantages to World Ventures. You're paying for information that's already freely available on the internet, so it's a tough sell.

You must also pay monthly fees to remain in the RBS system. This, combined with the negative feedback World Ventures has received, is a deterrent.

These complaints and negative WorldVentures reviews can make it challenging to attract new participants.

Who Is World Ventures For?

Who Is World Ventures For

Anyone looking to make money with World Ventures must have strong network marketing experience and a financial cushion.

There is stiff competition with Expedia, Travelzoo, Kayak, and even Costco Travel that already consolidate deals.

Furthermore, with World Ventures, you must gather people for in-person meetings, which is out of date and difficult to do. To pull this off, you must have prior marketing and sales experience.

So, if this fits your lifestyle and you have all of the above skills, you could join the 1% of people who make money.

If you want to start an online business and want a rewarding opportunity with a lot of flexibility and a solid blueprint, then check out our #1 Recommendation below.

Is WorldVentures a Pyramid Scheme?

Is WorldVentures a Pyramid Scheme

If you've been wondering if WorldVentures is a pyramid scheme, you've come to the right place.

Despite numerous complaints and dissatisfied members promised large commissions, WorldVentures is not a Pyramid Scheme because they provide a genuine product. Although there are many accusations that the company is a pyramid scheme.

Members are compensated for bringing in new partners, but they also sell vacation packages. However, this question "is Worldventures is a pyramid scheme?" remains subjective as the FTC and companies worldwide tighten their rules on MLM companies when a large number of complaints arise, as we can see with Vemma.

But, when it comes to building a business, you have plenty of options.

And even if you're dead set on becoming a network marketer, you've got way better options than World Ventures.

Keep in mind, we don't get paid to promote any of the programs we review. We personally think Network marketing is a great business model, but you could end up leaving way too much money on the table.

Final Opinion/Verdict - WorldVentures Review

WorldVentures Review

Overall, I cannot recommend the World Ventures RBS opportunity. Is World Ventures a Pyramid Scheme Once Again? – It is entirely up to you to make this decision.

It is unmistakably an MLM company, and it has a product to sell, but while it is convenient to have all travel deals compiled on one website, convincing people to pay for information that is already available can be difficult. Similar services are provided by Travelzoo, Kayak, Orbitz, and Expedia, which do not require costly memberships.

World Ventures simply does not provide enough value. It makes no difference how appealing the compensation plans are if you are unable to recruit people.

Furthermore, there have been numerous complaints and lawsuits against the company and the company's own disclosure statement, which shows that it isn't such a lucrative opportunity after all.

What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Leasing

Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!

Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.

Yup, Digital Leasing!

Where World Ventures falls short in helping you make money online is in scalability.

There’s only so much time in a day and there’s only so many people you can reach to sell by yourself.

World Ventures knows this!

Which is why they push so hard for you to recruit for your downline...you can’t get rich with it as a one man/ woman show.

But what if you could make even more money off of little local websites without having to spend hundreds of dollars on overpriced products and a bunch of time recruiting people to sell under you?

With this Digital Leasing program, you can make recurring monthly income without constant sales to your friends and constant recruitment!

Sound too good to be true?

Of course it does!

But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!

All you have to do is build and rank a LOCAL website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!

This works for literally any service based business:

  • tree service
  • plumbing
  • towing
  • painting
  • landscaping etc.

How do you get paid and how much?

Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.

A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.

Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!

That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!

See why they call it Digital Leasing now? That’s a rent payment.

The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to worry about:

  • Your upline getting paid before you
  • Begging your friends and family to buy from you
  • Recruiting people all the time

But as it is with World Ventures... You only get what’s left of the pie if you meet a monthly quota...

The course we recommend actually allows you to collect HUGE FLAT RATE DEALS.

Truly passive income!

The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.

You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.

Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the World Ventures group in our opinion. This group is much more active.

Scott Lead Gen

Unlike World Ventures, where you’re getting maybe $10 per sale, you could be getting 10-20X THAT.

A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website... they see it as it is… You helping them make more money.

Unlike World Ventures, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.

Digital Leasing allows you to have total passive income with most of your day being spent WITH your friends, NOT selling to them.

Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…

So, check this out to learn more.
