The Bad

Chances are you heard about Seint Makeup because someone – a friend or family member – introduced you to the company. Maybe you attended an online workshop or webinar, or maybe an in-person information session.

Your head’s probably spinning. This might be the first time you’ve heard about a real way to make money outside of a typical job.

So first off, congratulations!

You’ve just entered a whole new world…the world of making money on your own terms.

However, you came in through the wrong door.

Because Seint Makeup is – plain and simple – an MLM. Throw whatever fancy name you want on it…multi-level marketing (MLM), network marketing (NWM), direct sales, or anything else, it’s the same concept:

You pay some money upfront for the “opportunity” to sell products.

The products are typically low-quality but with high price tags (because fancy labels and stuff).

You’re told that the key to building your own successful business is selling these products to friends and family, and getting them on a subscription (so you get “monthly recurring revenue”).

Unfortunately, like most people who get taken in by these types of schemes, you’ll quickly discover that the well runs dry faster than you imagined.

After all, they make it sound really simple. “Just get 5 people you know onto this magic widget, and things will just grow from there.”

And in your head, you think “How hard can it be? I know plenty of people, 5 will be easy.”

But then you do it, and you realize people look at you like you’ve joined a cult. You’ve become “that person”, who joined an MLM, and is now trying to sell questionable products or services to everyone they meet.

It puts a strain on your relationships, and you end up stuck between two worlds.

But it’s not your fault. These companies spend millions of dollars each year figuring out exactly how to brainwash and recruit people. And that’s why we’re here.

To help you find a better way before it’s too late.

So, what if there was a way you could build a passive income stream that’s actually passive?

An income stream that doesn’t require:

  • Inventory
  • Selling to friends and family
  • Selling to strangers
  • Recruiting people
  • Dealing with questionable products that weigh on your conscience

An income stream that brings in consistent revenues every single month (from a couple thousand dollars to well over $10,000)?

An income stream you could actually build in your spare time, and grow as large or as small as you want to, without having to spend hours a day chasing, selling, or managing anything?

Still Getting Paid

This is nothing like MLM, and that’s probably a good thing.

However, if you’d still like to know more about Seint Makeup, keep reading.

What Is Seint?

Seint is a cosmetics MLM company.

Like most MLMs, Seint products are only available through their website or official members. Their goods couldn’t be bought elsewhere.

Seint sells cosmetics, skincare products, and makeup tools. They make eyeshadows, contour makeup, highlighters, and other cosmetics.

Until recently, this company was known as Maskcara beauty.

Cara Brook – a professional makeup artist – founded the company in 2013. Brook is a fashion and makeup blogger. She founded the company to use makeup to enhance women’s natural beauty, not hide their flaws.

They claim to have offerings that will help anyone wear makeup better – from those with mature skin tone (aging skin) to those with very sensitive skin.

They believe that a Seint beauty artist can work with oily skin with their beauty blender sponge, as well as through their Seint makeup tutorials.

Now, I want to be completely honest in this review, so…

This review will go over Seint MakeUp to see if it really is the best Multi-level Marketing out there.

Why Maskara Now Called Seint Beauty?

Maskcara rebranded to Seint Beauty in 2020.

According to our research, the founder wanted to update its mission and showcase the artists who represent it.

A company’s mission or vision can change without changing its name, in our opinion. And it’s not cheap. It is costly and time-consuming.

Our theory is that they wanted to change the name because Maskcara has a bad reputation. MLM companies do better when they are new and build momentum.

According to Google Trends, the buzz around Maskcara is waning while Seint Beauty is rising.

We think changing the name to “Seint” was a bad idea because there is already a beauty salon called SeintBeauty.com and a makeup line called Saint.

And MLM companies like Maskcara have a habit of changing names.

Just a reminder that the Seint products are STILL the same just renamed.

Seint Product Reviews

When it comes to their products, there are mixed Seint reviews. Some people say they like the foundation and how skin-like it looks.

However, as we did more research, we discovered that many of the products were returned by customers.

We read a Seint review of Seint Products here from a non-seller (so you know it’s unbiased). She said that even though she wanted to love the makeup products, she returned them all because her face became itchy after application.

Others ended up returning quite a few products as well.

Is Seint An MLM?

Yes, Seint is a multi-level marketing company.

If any artist tries to recruit you and tells you otherwise, they’re lying. It’s possible to get an educated guess based on their company’s compensation plan.

MLM in its current form is not illegal.

However, the line between an MLM company and a pyramid scheme is exceptionally hazy. And we simply do not want to cross that line.

In the following section, I will explain how to tell the difference between an MLM company and a pyramid scheme.

Is Seint A Pyramid Scheme?

Many people wonder whether an MLM company is a pyramid scheme before joining – we did as well before joining an MLM company.

But we realized at the time that we didn’t fully understand exactly what a pyramid scheme was. If we look at the shape of the company, we will notice that both MLM and the pyramid scheme have the same “pyramid” shape.

So, what makes them different and distinct from one another, and how can we tell the difference between them?

And we believe that many MLMs that are still in operation today are, in many ways, a disguised pyramid scheme.

Allow us to explain…

A pyramid scheme occurs when a company’s sole focus is on recruiting new employees. That is how the founder and his upline make the most money.

So, if you’re “late to the party” and have been at the bottom of the pyramid, it’s very likely that you won’t make money – worse, you’ll lose money.

You may be wondering and asking how this relates to Seint.

Consider the structure of Seint’s compensation plan.

Isn’t it shaped like a pyramid? Isn’t it true that the person ranked higher will be at the top despite having multiple downlines?

I’m not suggesting that Seint is a pyramid scheme. However, as with many MLM companies, you should exercise caution before joining.

A pyramid scheme, once again, is primarily concerned with recruitment. Because each downline or member you acquire as a downline will pay your uplines all the way up to the founder.

BUT, rather than focusing solely on recruiting, Seint has a credible makeup line that they sell. And, according to many, very good makeup products.

You will not earn a commission when you bring on a new recruit, but you will be able to earn more when you have a team.

And you can still make money by selling products without recruiting others – albeit at a low level.

How low is it? We’ll get to it eventually.

Let us get a closer look at how much it costs to become a Seint artist.

How To Start with Seint?

Joining Seint is a reasonably simple process.

For your starter kit, you can select one of two options:

  • Basic Artist Kit – $199 (Includes 19 IIID Foundation, 2 Brushes, 1 Perfector Sponge, 3 Compacts)
  • Pro Artist Kit – $399 (Includes 23 IIID Foundation, 12 Eyeshadows, 6 Brushes, 1 Perfector Sponge, 4 Compacts, 1 Milk Moisturizer)

Aside from the cost of the starter kits, you must also pay an $11.95% maintenance fee for your back office.

The starter kits also include training materials, product samples, and promotional materials to get your business off to a good start.

How Much You Need to Pay To Join Seint?

A product kit costs between $199 and $399 to join Seint. Of course, the more expensive product kits include more products.

That’s just the initial product kits, but keep in mind that there is a monthly fee of $11.95.

Maybe to host your replicated website and backend maintenance.

So, to join Seint for a year, you would pay: $199 + ($11.95 X 12) = $342.40

The most expensive product kit costs $542.40 per year.

Please note that this does not include extra expenses such as buying more products to promote at parties, training, gas, travel, or even paying for friends to follow you.

Now that you know how much you’ll spend let’s see if you can make more than you’ve invested.

Is Seint A Scam?

So, is Seint Makeup a scam?

Not technically. You can make money with this program, but it’s definitely not as easy as the company makes it sound.

There’s a ton of work to be done upfront, no real guarantee of success, and – most importantly – the actual commissions are pretty small.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.

But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months and then your reward is a $50 commission, it’s not really worth it.

What if, instead, you could do that same 3 months of work (in your spare time), and your reward was a $500 to $2,000 payment that came in every single month?

And what if you actually didn’t need to wait 3 months? What if you could get started today and have your first payment in a week?

And what if you could double it next week?

Well, that’s the power of Digital Real Estate

And, unlike an MLM, you can legitimately do this from anywhere. It’s a true lifestyle business.

Your laptop and an internet connection is all you need.

Some of the most successful students in this program run their entire 6-figure businesses from:

  • A camper in the middle of the woods
  • A beach chair on the water in Mexico
  • A small villa in Greece

Saying goodbye to our job

They’re able to travel around, living their lives first, and focusing on their income second.

Because even if they stop working for an extended period of time, the money keeps coming in.

So adventure, memories, and experience are the top priority.

And they never have to worry about how to pay for the next trip, or consider asking for time off.

How To Make Money From Seint?

Since Seint is an MLM, there are only two main ways to profit. also:

  • Selling products
  • Recruiting members

You can earn more money from bonuses and benefits by ranking up.

Promotion in the company is required to get these bonuses and benefits. To do so, you need a downline.

To build a downline, you must recruit new members. They must join under your name.

Once they sign up, you’ll get commissions on their orders and future sales. So now it’s up to you to train them.

You can’t make the passive income this company promised you by just selling products. You’ll have to delegate to your downline.

To be honest, MLMs don’t care whether or not you can sell the products you buy from them. They only care about how much you spend and how many people you bring in.

Seint's Compensation Plan

I can’t seem to locate Seint’s compensation plan.

However, I found ways to make money with Seint in my research.

  • Enroller Bonus – a monthly bonus from new downline sales
  • Personal Leader Bonus – monthly sales bonus from your downline team.
  • Generation Bonuses – bonus earned once one of the members of your downline achieves influencer rank.
  • Retail Commissions – 20% commission on your personal sales

What do I like About Seint?

1. Low-cost goods

At first glance, I presumed the prices were typical Sephora prices. However, they aren’t the cheapest MLM products on the market, but they are still more affordable than most.

However, it is wise to compare the price to the quantity of the product received.

BUT I couldn’t find the exact amount of product you get from the foundation (maybe they hide it…?)

Seint products appear small in YouTube videos…

2. Resolve Customer Issues

When I checked their BBB account, they had responded to the customer’s complaint by giving them a coupon.

Not many MLM companies do this, so I appreciate them resolving the issue.

Guaranteed 30-Day Refund

Even though MLM has a money-back guarantee policy, many customers have trouble reaching customer service.

However, when I looked into non-biased reviews of Seint’s products, one person actually returned everything and got her money back – though not 100%.

What I DON'T Like About Seint?

1. Not For All

Even though they say you can still join their artist program and become an artist, it doesn’t mean it will happen overnight.

So if you don’t like makeup, you might want to avoid this route because I believe you’ll be doing a lot of makeup talks to promote or recruit people.

Because how can you give makeup advice if you haven’t worked on other people’s faces?

That’s my opinion.

I still don’t like going to MAC or Sephora and getting makeup advice from a promoter who isn’t a makeup artist.

2. Religion-based MLM

I was stunned when I learned this, but it now makes perfect sense.

Cara Brook, the founder, is a Mormon, and many religious terms are used throughout the company.

If you represent them, you are “Seint [your name].”

After learning this, the brand’s name takes on a whole new meaning – depending on how you feel about Mormonism.

3. No Other Business Opportunity

This will be in your NDA once you join as an artist. An NDA has a clause that says if you reach the influencer level or higher, you can’t work in any other direct selling ventures for a year.

This is genuinely the first MLM that I’ve encountered to have this on their NDA – and it’s mind-blowing.

I don’t get it.

Even in my previous corporate job handling large amounts of people and data, the “charge” to leave and go to a competitor was to leave everything and leave the office within 24 hours.

Nobody can be coerced into joining a competitor or working a side hustle.

Seint doesn’t pay these artists, so I don’t think they have the right to stop them from working elsewhere.

4. Focus on Recruiting

If you just want to promote Seint and make a 20% commission, go ahead – but think about how much you can sell it for because you still have to pay the $11.95 monthly fee.

And you will have an upline if you join as a makeup artist. Your upline will push you to recruit and sell more. Sure, if you want someone to constantly push you in your life.

But I don’t like being forced to do something every day, which is exactly how MLM companies work.

I much prefer making money promoting products I like, earning a commission, and NOT having to recruit others to make more money, or having someone dictate how much I should work each day.

Seint Makeup Online Reviews

reddit modern millionaires

Let’s check out some reviews:

“Just my two cents, but no. I like that they have a lot of cream products and offer both cream and powder blush, bronzer, contour, and highlight, but I think that the prices are kind of ridiculous for a beginner. Just to do a full face of makeup with the products they offer (brushes, blush, bronzer, setting powder, highlight, contour, brows, a basic eyeshadow look with a few shades, and eyeliner), it would cost close to $350-$400.

For comparison, using similar products from different drugstore brands from Ulta or Target would cost less than $150 and the quality would probably be similar, if not better. For all of the products they offer (cream or powder blush/bronzer/highlight eyeliner, face powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, brow wax, brushes etc.), there are a lot of great drugstore options out there that are in the $3-10 range that are fantastic compared to Seint Beauty’s prices that are double if not triple their drugstore counterparts. Even using a combination of high-end and drugstore products, I still think that a comparable look could easily be done for under $200.

I also don’t like how the palette packs they offer have a combination of power and cream products. Inevitably, the powder is going to get into the cream products and ruin them. I also wouldn’t recommend a cream eyeliner for someone starting out, especially since you’d still need to get a brush on top of it. Issues with the product composition and disregarding quality as I have no idea as to the quality of their products (but historically since it’s an MLM, I wouldn’t have a lot of confidence in the performance) but the prices are way too high for someone starting out. There are things that I like about them, specifically the ability to customize palettes and the cream and powder product offerings, but overall I see a lot of potential issues and think that someone starting out would do a lot better with products from other brands.”

Here’s some more:

“Well I decided to get color matched by a Seint artist. Long story short I decided to go with another artist that I connected with better. I got my make up 4 pallet kit and my Seint artist was aware that it had been sitting in the cold outside my mailbox. The delivery was never sent to my door like my regular mail. You would think after spending over $100 that they would leave it by my door so I would know that I got it safely.

Instead they put it in the mailbox far away from my house. I had no idea it was in the mailbox and assumed it would be delivered to me as it was cold out. So when I got home and brought it in it was hard as a rock unable to use it smelled foul odor. I called my Saint artist and she told me to heat it with the blow dryer. I did that it was better but then the following day it was hard as a rock again. I have been unable to use the make up because of the poor consistency and the smell which is intoxicating.

I kept on trying to give it a chance and give it time like my Saint artist recommended that it had to melt into my skin. Well when I was wearing it a family member said to me what are you wearing on your face it’s really accentuating your fine lines. But I kept trying to make up. I’d truly believe that I got a bad batch every time I go to use the make up I have to heat it up first and I don’t think I should have to do that. So what I want from you is to cancel my email my name in all that’s associated with the company. And by the way I have been a make up artist a very successful one, for over 30 years and I have never seen such dried up make up in my life. So I’m asking you for a total refund.”

pyramid scheme

“Awful. My initial online color match was horrible and when I finally received the makeup palette ($71.61 worth of base color, contour, lip and cheek colors) and tried it on I looked like a pale, cakey ghost. The makeup quality is cream but it felt thick and dry and enhanced all wrinkles and pores I have. I contacted my artist and she gifted me a couple more colors to try. Meanwhile, this all takes a long TIME to do since it is not in person and ALL done via mail order. The other colors finally arrived and albeit they matched a little less pale on my skin but still made me feel wrinkly and gross.

I contacted my artist but I am now out of the 30-day return window (that I had no idea about anyway) because of waiting on the additional colors to try!! I contacted her and told her I am just unhappy with this makeup overall and the whole experience and asked for a refund and said I would gladly return the tray of makeup. She suggested I contact SEINT corporate in **** (which I did) and explained the above and asked for an exception due to the circumstances beyond MY control of a bad color match.

They replied COLDLY that I was out of the 30-day return period. Period The End. Nothing else. I tried again to contact the artist and she has blocked my texts and emails. I am doing her a favor by not mentioning her name but she did nothing to try to help. The corporate company doesn’t give a c*** about customer service. Do yourself a favor and don’t try this MLM horrible makeup company. I am out $71.61 with a tray of cakey thick unused makeup. I am asking for a refund because of horrible color matching, untimely matching to the point where I couldn’t return anything and horrible customer service!”

“i use it and i really like it. i’m not a beginner at makeup, but i would say i’m newer to cream based products. i haven’t had the issue of my powders and creams mixing. there’s rarely fall out from my powders! i just have to set the makeup since i’m a bit oily. but it’s a pretty good product. only cons i can think of is i feel bad buying because it’s an mlm, and buying the makeup at first is a bit expensive. but you do get a full compact and a double ended brush for like $150, so it’s not bad. the makeup lasts a long time though!”

“I LOVE IT! I’m shocked at all the negativity here. It works amazing for me”

Seint Review Conclusion

Before I wrap up this Seint review, I have a few more observations.

Seint may be a reputable company and not a pyramid scheme, but it is still an MLM. As a result, no matter how hard you work, they will not compensate you.

It’s a sad thought that even if you work more hours than a regular employee, you won’t be able to succeed.

The main issue you will face once you join Seint is competition. Besides that, MLMs have a bad reputation, so not everyone will buy from you.

Isn’t it easier to buy cosmetics in a mall than wait for an MLM to deliver them?

Remember that MLMs are still around because they found the best customers – the members. If you think MLMs haven’t closed yet because people don’t buy from them, you’re mistaken.

They impose the rule that you must buy the products first before selling them to ensure that they can profit from you.

Are There Alternatives To Seint?

alternative path financial independence

Yes, there are plenty of MLM companies to choose from if you want to pursue this business model.  Here are just a few:

What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2023?

Digital Real Estate

Our review team has spent months researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Real Estate is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Real Estate is for you.

Why?

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Real Estate business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

Jump All In

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With MLMs and Network Marketing, you don’t really own anything. You have no control over the quality of products. You don’t even own your “team”.

Look at the fine print for most of the agreements folks sign when they join one of these companies. At any point, the company can change your commission structure, reduce your profit margins, or kick you out entirely.

With Digital Real Estate, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

Feeling Blessed

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Real Estate with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket…even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.

Scott Lead Gen

4) No Inventory: Alright, so most MLMs don’t make you buy the products and fill your garage with them anymore (unlike the good ol’ days), but you’re still in a physical products business.

And physical products always have physical limitations. Even if you don’t have to manage the inventory, you still have to deal with supply chain shortages that cause major delays.

Imagine finally landing your first customer, and then losing them after one sale because they had to wait 6 weeks to get their order.

With Digital Real Estate, a 100% online business, you never even have to think about that risk.

ANNA DONE DEAL

5) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with an MLM, you’d have to double your customers OR double the average order size of your existing customers. And, guaranteed that’s a lot harder than a few clicks and a few minutes of your life.

Lance Lead Gen

6) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. In an MLM, your “upline” might convince you that what you’re selling improves people’s lives, but deep down, you likely know that’s not true.

Most of the time, you’re either selling a dream or a poor-quality, overpriced product with a fancy label.

And that makes it pretty hard to sleep at night.

But with Digital Real Estate, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Real Estate, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either…a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Real Estate makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

Boss of My Own Future

Now, the choice is yours.

You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Seint Makeup which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Real Estate.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.
