iBuumerang Reviews ([year] Update) Is This Network Marketing Company Worth It?

iBuumerang is an MLM company that specializes in the travel industry, founded by Holton Buggs in 2019.

Similar to other MLM companies, they teach that the trick to running your own internet marketing business is to recruit your family and friends to work under you.

It seems like it's been all been done before, but is there something unique about this company?

What's inside the iBuumerang operation - and how much does this all cost, anyway?

Let's dive in and find out.

DISCLAIMER:

This ibuumerang review review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • Possible to make some money
  • Some MLMs have decent products
CONS
  • Can damage relationships
  • Sketchy founder
  • Difficult to sell the products or make money with MLMs

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

Are you happy with the number you see in your bank account?

Are you even making a profit?

After all, most businesses take at least a year to get out of the red and into the black, and plenty of companies never even take off altogether.

Every entrepreneur aspires to build a successful business – you know, one of those things where product sales continually flow out, revenue grows, and profits climb sky-high.

However, according to Forbes, 80% of businesses fail.

iBuumerang, a network marketing industry business owned by Holton Buggs, is offering to help people get to the forefront of making passive income via travel.

It’s innovative because it allows you to become an entrepreneur without performing any of the heavy work. There’s not even a need to guess what niche you should pursue in your new business.

There is no order tracking or delivery of product purchases. There is no need to find the best strategies. There is no need to draw in traffic. There will be no trial and error, only proven methods…

…at least that’s what Buggs and his MLM company claim.

But is any of it true?

Chances are you heard about Holton Buggs because someone – a friend or family member – introduced you to the company he works for. Maybe you attended an online workshop or webinar, or maybe an in-person information session.

Your head’s probably spinning. This might be the first time you’ve heard about a real way to make money outside of a typical job.

So first off, congratulations!

You’ve just entered a whole new world…the world of making money on your own terms.

Living The Beach Lifestyle

However, you came in through the wrong door.

Because Holton Buggs is a part of – plain and simple – an MLM. Throw whatever fancy name you want on it…multi-level marketing (MLM), network marketing (NWM), direct sales, or anything else, it’s the same concept:

You pay some money upfront for the “opportunity” to sell products.

The products are typically low-quality but with high price tags.

You’re told that the key to building your own successful business is selling these products to friends and family, and getting them on a subscription (so you get “monthly recurring revenue”).

Unfortunately, like most people who get taken in by these types of schemes, you’ll quickly discover that the well runs dry faster than you imagined.

After all, they make it sound really simple. “Just get 5 people you know onto this magic widget, and things will just grow from there.”

And in your head, you think “How hard can it be? I know plenty of people, 5 will be easy.”

But then you do it, and you realize people look at you like you’ve joined a cult. You’ve become “that person”, who joined an MLM, and is now trying to sell questionable products or services to everyone they meet.

It puts a strain on your relationships, and you end up stuck between two worlds.

But it’s not your fault. These companies spend millions of dollars each year figuring out exactly how to brainwash and recruit people. And that’s why we’re here.

To help you find a better way before it’s too late.

Still Getting Paid

So, what if there was a way you could build a passive income stream that’s actually passive?

An income stream that doesn’t require:

  • Inventory
  • Selling to friends and family
  • Selling to strangers
  • Recruiting people
  • Dealing with questionable products that weigh on your conscience

An income stream that brings in consistent revenues every single month (from a couple thousand dollars to well over $10,000)?

An income stream you could actually build in your spare time, and grow as large or as small as you want to, without having to spend hours a day chasing, selling, or managing anything?

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, check out Digital Leasing.

This is nothing like MLM, and that’s probably a good thing.

However, if you’d still like to know more about iBuumerang, keep reading.

What Is IBuumerang?

ibuumerang what is it

Ibuumerang is a network marketing business (MLM) using a travel booking platform to offer members travel savings and even a way to make money.

Holton Buggs, company CEO, founded it in March 2019 with David Manning, President of XStream Travel, and Terrance Gray, VP of Business Development.

Holton is a highly effective community marketer with over 25 years of direct sales and network marketing business models.

However, the vast majority of MLMs Holton were involved with were associated with pyramid schemes.

So, Mr. Buggs set out to create his own MLM - hopefully leaving behind the shadiness.

Thousands of people have joined, and some of them claim to actually earn commissions and bonuses.

Just like in other MLM companies, you must recruit people if you want to earn a significant amount of commissions and bonuses. Everything is revealed in their compensation plan.

But, when it comes to building a business, you have plenty of options.

One of the biggest problems with MLMs is that their products aren't that great, meaning you will find sales difficult. So, how do you make money? Recruitment.

One good way to figure out if these companies are legitimate is to dig into their founders' past.

Who Is Holton Buggs?

Holton Buggs Review

Holton Buggs is iBuumerang’s President and CEO. He is veteran in the MLM industry and is widely known for his with the Organo Gold coffee MLM.

On September 26th, 1972, Holton Buggs was born and raised by a single mother in the United States (Tampa, FL).

Holton desired much more from life and developed an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Entrepreneurship Begins

bug

To supplement his income, he began cutting locks at fourteen, and selling chocolate to other neighborhood children.

Buggs discovered the power of leverage at that point.

He figured out that if he bought a lot of candy and then compelled his friends to market it for him, he could still make money without having to put in all of the efforts.

Holton negotiated free haircuts for any of his friends who agreed to promote chocolate for him without being compensated.

Earlene Buggs, one of the twelve friends he recruited, has since become his wife.

Holton’s later MLM career had been planted, but it would take another ten years to bear fruit.

He attended Texas Southern University on a football scholarship after graduating from high school, hoping to play in the NFL one day.

Until he injured his leg.

The injury ended Holton’s hopes of actively playing pro ball. Still, he remained determined to succeed and continued his engineering research.

His First MLM Involvement

bug

His first network marketing event convinced him of its merits and convinced him to join the MLM industry.

Buggs was immediately swayed by the speakers and the passive income business model, but success would have to wait.

After graduating from university, he quickly realized that an engineer’s salary would not provide him with the lifestyle and financial goals he desired - although, I suppose that depends on which kind of engineering you'd be doing.

When Holton started a successful furniture business in 1996, he was confident that he was on the road to success.

He went out of business not too long after that.

Buggs was twenty-seven years old when he found himself $ 250,000 in debt, 45 days away from home foreclosure, and his prized Lexus had just been reclaimed.

After that, he receives a phone call that would forever change his life:

A friend told him about a brand new MLM company he should look into.

Holton reluctantly gave network marketing another shot, and went all-in with a few options.

He proceeded to make six-figure earnings over the next ninety days due to good timing and an insane work ethic...and probably recruiting a lot of people.

CyberWize

bug

The company was a shady operation called CyberWize – a dietary MLM that relied heavily on online marketing to recruit new members.

Holton would quickly leave CyberWize for YTB International (aka “Your Travel Biz”), a travel MLM, for a better opportunity.

Thanks to Holton and Edwin Haynes, Your Travel Biz developed a well-established distribution network in 2008.

However, after several investigations and lawsuits accused Your Travel Biz of being an illegal pyramid scheme, Holton resigned, and the company went bankrupt.

Not great.

Organo Gold

bug

Holton quickly recovered in 2010 and found success once more. This was when he made his name with the coffee-based MLM company Organo Gold.

Holton joined the coffee and tea MLM, and despite not being a coffee drinker himself, he knew the rest of the world was, so he set a goal of making a million dollars per month.

He hit $1.2 million in residuals a month not long after turning 40.

After a reported hundred million in commissions, iBuumerang’s CEO was now on a mission to make perpetual residual income a reality for his distributors.

Let us fast forward a few years to the end of 2013:

Holton earned $1.3 million per month and claimed to have built a network of over three million distributors, making him a top earner in the MLM industry.

However, you should acknowledge that Holton’s biography reads like a typical MLM rags-to-riches story, full of exaggerations and possibly some outright lies.

Crypto Currencies

bug

This is where things start to get a little weird:

Organo Gold announced a partnership with Digital SkyNet, a blockchain company, in 2018 to “improve our global operations platform.”

This is an unusual move for a "coffee and tea company."

IQ Chain (a fraudulent cryptocurrency MLM) was also a subsidiary of Digital SkyNet, later rebranded as IQ Legacy.

As you can see, there are a couple major red flags with this guy.

What's Inside iBuumerang?

bug

Travel MLMs have been around for a long time, so the concept is not new.

iBuumerang is a program in which distributors can refer their friends to the iGo booking engine, which offers travel discounts.

iGo is operated by a separate company, Xstream Travel, and is only available to those with an iBuumerang membership.

As an iBuumerang distributor, you can distribute “boomerangs” (iGo login access) to anyone who wants to save money on their travel plans.

bug

When customers use your iGo boomerang, they can search for travel discounts. In the same way, they would on other sites such as TripAdvisor, Expedia, Kayak, etc.

iGo claims to have deals for hundreds of dollars less than the major travel websites.

Additionally, they offer a price match guarantee on hotels and rental cars if you find a lower rate elsewhere online, up to 110% of the difference.

Even if that didn’t apply to flights, having a hotel at the lowest possible rate is still a nice perk.

As previously stated, the only way to obtain these savings is to receive a boomerang from an independent iBuumerang distributor, also known as a Travel Savings Ambassador (TSA).

bug

iGo will pay you commissions for booking trips through your boomerang as long as the customer uses your boomerang to do so.

To put it another way - in this MLM business, the network marketing company pays when your customer saves money.

Most MLM companies barely have a real product as part of their "business opportunity", so at least iBuumerang claims to be offering something substantial there.

But here’s where things get interesting:

The number of boomerangs you can send out is determined by your level of iBuumerang membership.

As you might expect, the higher your membership fee, the more boomerangs you get each month.

Furthermore, the more boomerangs you have, the more commission you can earn (e.g., you can get up to 5 new customers/month if you send 5 boomerangs/month.)

There are three ways to obtain more boomerangs:

  • Upgrade to a higher membership level (more on this later)
  • Purchase additional individual boomerangs (price not yet listed).
  • Recruit more iBuumerang users.

The final one should come as no surprise.

But there is some good news:

Thankfully, the final component of the iBuumerang program, the iDecide interactive presentation, has made recruiting a little easier.

The folks at iBuumerang corporate slickly put together an automated video to help sell the concept, which should assist you in convincing people of this controversial business model.

Compensation Plan

There are 6 main ways of making money with iBuumerang:

First : Referred Travel Boney

When you directly refer someone to Xstream Travel...you'll get a 25% commission as your referral bonus.

Second: Travel Savings Bonus (TSB)

ibuumerang igoscam

You get a 50-100% cash bonus depending on your membership level if they book a trip on your iGo travel portal from the boomerang you sent.

Let’s say the trip normally costs $2,000 at other travel sites, but iGo can offer it for $1,400. So in this case, it’s a savings of $600.

As a retail customer, your friend can get a 50% discount of the savings (e.g. 50% of $600 = $300) which brings their retail price up to $1,700.

So your friend is still saving $150 off the regular price of the trip, but as an iBuumerang distributor, you can get the same trip for iGo’s lowest price of $1,400.

Ultimately...that extra $300 they are paying...is going to you in iBuumerang commissions.

Well yes and no...

How much of that commission you get depends on your membership level, if you are "coach", it'd only be $150.

You would have to be "Business class" or "First class" to get the full $300 in commissions.

Third: Fast Start Bonus

This is basically the MLM part of it. If you recruit somebody to join, you get a cash bonus. $20 if they join coach, $40 if business, $80 if first class.

Fourth: Dual Team Bonus

This is where you get a 10-20% recurring commission based on your smallest downline.

iBuumerang uses one of those complicated binary compensation plans. Basically, you'll have one on team on the left and one on the right

The idea is to recruit people who will then recruit team members under them...and then you get paid based off all the teams efforts.

The commission volume you receive will be based on your team's travel bookings and distribute fees.

The weekly residual commission you receive will be capped at whatever your iBuumerang rank is.

travel saving bonuses

So what's the main point here?

If you can make it to the top of the MLM pyramid...you'll be capped at $1,000,000 a month.

But unlike them, we want to upfront and address this:

The main problem here is that this chart makes it look like easy stepping stones to being rich. The truth is it is extremely hard for people brand new to running businesses like this grow beyond a certain point. This kind of chart assumes that you'll never run out of people to join...but you really will.

Fifth: Unveiled Commissions

This is a commission based off your amount of personally enrolled recruits at up to 7 levels below you.

It can range from 5-10% based on your rank and how many monthly subscriptions and travel savings that are coming from your boomerang customers.

The goal of this is to keep iBuumerang distributors motivated to keep recruiting members, but also not let them rely on just their downline to recruit.

Sixth: Leadership Development Bonus

This is the bonus that is provided to a distributor when they help one of their own recruits reach the level of sapphire or higher.

You would be earning 2-5% through up to 4 generations of sapphire in your organization

iBuumerang and their compensation plan is set up in a way that rewards those who make the largest downlines, like most MLMs.

Concerns

People have been asking: is iBuumerang a pyramid scheme?

While we don't feel comfortable answering that question, we will say that a number of customers have felt their product was not great - and that the company is more focused on recruitment than anything.

What Does The Internet Have To Say?

What Does The Internet Have To Say

Let's hear the voice of the people:

"Well, about all you need to know about iBuumerang (other than that it is an MLM) is that its Chairman/CEO is a scam artist.

Holton Buggs is cited as iBuumerang’s Chairman and CEO. David Manning is cited as CEO and President of Xstream Travel, iBuumerang’s travel services provider.
Holton Buggs is best known across the MLM industry as Organo Gold’s Chief Visionary Officer.
Sometime over the past month Organo Gold has scrubbed Buggs from their corporate leadership page.
As far as I’m aware, neither Organo Gold or Buggs has issued a public statement regarding his apparent departure.
Late last year it emerged that Buggs was promoting theIQ ChainPonzi scheme.
Officially Buggs was credited as a “strategic advisor”, but it was pretty clear he’d taken over all marketing for the company (specifics were never publicly disclosed).
In December IQ Chain collapsed and was rebranded asIQ Legacy.
Alexa ranking for the IQ Legacy website show a complete collapse from late January."

ibuumerang bbb

Let's read one more for the road:

"Writing this gives me a lot of shame. I can't believe I fell for one. After watching my father lose thousands of dollars to one and being aware of their predatory nature, I still got sucked in!

It was three months ago and I was at one of the most vulnerable stages of my life. Had been financially taken advantage of by some horrible people which took thousands from me and left me depressed, stressed, broke and in debt.

The guy who introduced me was my sister's bf, and look, I got bad vibes from the guy from day one, but I guess I just wanted to trust someone? I wanted to move on from the nightmare I'd just survived and I was ready for new things, I was hopeful and exhausted at the same time. Like I said, pretty vulnerable.

I pride myself on logic and caution but somehow he slipped past. I signed up after weeks of grilling him and asking about the product. He gave me a "loan" for the buy in because I couldn't afford it.

First thing I realised was the meetings are cult religious meetings. It was like I stepped back into some cultish church. The language was cult language. What made it worse was the fact that success and self development was twisted and claimed for their agenda, which was even worse. Their way or the highway."

Is IBuumerang A Scam?

Scam or Legit

So, is iBuumerang a scam?

Not technically – even if people online are saying otherwise.

You can make money with this program, but building a successful business is definitely not as easy as they make it sound.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.

But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months, and then your reward is being forced to grind it out for another 9 months before seeing any “real money,” well…that’s not a great deal, is it?

Reminds me of those God-forsaken MLMs many of us have experienced…all hype and no substance.

What if, instead, you could do that same 3 months of work (in your spare time), and your reward was a $500 to $2,000 payment that came in every single month?

And what if you actually didn’t need to wait 3 months? What if you could get started today and have your first payment in a week?

And what if you could double it next week?

Well, that’s the power of Digital Leasing.

And you can legitimately do this from anywhere. It’s a true lifestyle business.

Your laptop and an internet connection are all you need.

Some of the most successful students in this program run their entire 6-figure businesses from:

  • A camper in the middle of the woods
  • A beach chair on the water in Mexico
  • A small villa in Greece

Saying Goodbye To Our Jobs

Because even if they stop working for an extended period of time, the money keeps coming in – so adventure, memories, and experience are the top priority.

And they never have to worry about how to pay for the next trip, or consider asking for time off.

How Much Does It Cost To Join iBuumerang?

ibuumerang how much does it cost

It appears that Buggs' program costs $250-$1,000 as a one time fee...or it can be broken down into monthly payments ranging from $49.95-$99.95 per month.

The starter "stand by" kit comes with 5 "boomerangs" (referrals) a month and the iDecide Tool. After that trial run, there are 3 different levels to membership and they are all named after travel related terms

  1. Coach Class: $250 one time or $49.95 monthly with 5 boomerangs
  2. Business Class: $500 one time or $99.95 monthly with 25 boomerangs
  3. First Class: $1,000 one time or $99.95 monthly with 50 boomerangs

These higher level memberships come with higher travel savings bonuses which lead to higher commissions.

But is it worth it, or are there stronger options for your dollar?

iBuumerang Refund Policy

ibuumerang refund policy

For some reason, the only spot we could find any mention of "refund" in their Terms of Use page was only directed toward Montana residents - I'm guessing Montana laws may provide extra protections for refunds with MLM online businesses.

In other words, you may be out of luck if you live anywhere else.

What Is Our #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Leasing

Our review team has spent months researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for entrepreneurs.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is probably your best bet.

Why?

Frankly, I don’t think you can afford to make the wrong choice when it comes to your career in this day and age.

Have you seen inflation lately? You know, that thing where your money is worth less but your costs of living keep rising? You must find a way to overcome this strain on your financial life, and you can’t rely on others to do it for you.

Whether you’re a man sick of living an average life, or a single mom seeking a new stream of income in order to stop the cycle of barely getting by…it seems clear to me that Digital Leasing is a great option to take control in today’s economy.

Let’s dig into the details:

1) It’s Flexible:

Got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this.

Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

JUMP ALL IN

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING:

With a network marketing space, you don’t own anything. With MLM company iBuumerang, you REALLY don’t own anything.

You don’t own the sales platform, you don’t own a brand, and you don’t own the customers.

So…are you comfortable trusting Buggs with your livelihood?

With Digital Leasing, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control – and all the profits.

Feeling Blessed

3) Little To No Startup Costs:

It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront.

Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket…even before you do any work.

That said, I’m not going to lie to you and say you’ll never have to put any work in. That’s a red flag. You don’t get anything for free in this life…however, you can absolutely put work in up front that frees up your time and lifestyle as you stack success.

That’s the life-hack to sitting back and watching money roll in.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for a much more efficient investment than MLM – or even worse, taking out student loans.

Lance Lead Gen

4) No Wasted Time:

As mentioned above, spending tons of hours every day grinding is a huge time commitment.

Plus, you constantly need to be selling to family and friends if you want to maintain your business.

You need to spend even more money if you want to scale up. With Buggs, you’ll always have limits on your time and freedom.

With Digital Leasing, a 100% online business, you never have to worry about that.

Scott Lead Gen

5) Easy To Duplicate:

Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call.

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

How does it get easier?

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with MLM, you’d have to double your time investment OR your profit margins. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that’s a lot harder than a few clicks and a few minutes of your life.

Done Deal

6) Make Money Helping Real People:

This part is what makes it all worth it. A legit travel MLM is a decent way to make yourself money, but it doesn’t improve anyone else’s lives.

After all, there’s always someone else selling sketchy travel schemes. That might be fine in the short term, but in the long run you may feel like you’re missing a purpose.

Don’t even get me started on MLMs, where your friends and family become the product…I’m sure many of you reading have been through that sort of “bait and switch” nonsense before.

You know the type – they promise a living wage, then you’re only on commission for a sketchy product.

With Digital Leasing though, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not some big, faceless corporation either…a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll see what I mean.

BOSS OF MY FUTURE

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like iBuumerang which could one day make you money…

…you could continue researching, never making a decision

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality.

At the same time, you’re joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits? It’s as good as it sounds.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
