Liquid Web is a business-class web hosting company that has tailored its services to individuals and organizations that require more than shared hosting. In fact, Liquid Web does not provide shared hosting at all.
Suppose you need dedicated server resources for a WooCommerce store. In that case, enterprise website, Learning Management System (LMS), or something else, Liquid Web is one of many hosts that can help.
But how good are they?
Before I say anything else…
This Liquid Web review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available online to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.
Pros: What I Liked

Best server hardware and uncomplicated setup
Exceptional customer support
100% Ensured network and power uptime

Cons: What I Didn't Like
There is no dedicated shared hosting, but take a look at their other businesses (Nexcess and iThemes)
Not in the mainstream price range (but also check out their other options via their subsidiaries)

Liquid Web is a good option for small to medium-sized businesses that don’t mind paying for performance. If you value performance, dependability, and customer service. It is one of the best hosting services available. For less experienced users, their assurance that help is less than 60 seconds away is the clincher.

Liquid Web Managed Hosting
Web hosting company Liquid Web has more than 45,000 customers in 150 countries and is based in the US. They have 10 global data centers and manage more than 500,000 websites.
The majority of the company’s products are based on a managed hosting model, which the company specializes in. Liquid Web could be a viable option for businesses of all sizes. If they need a lot of server resources to host their websites, LMS, and other assets, such as those in the small to medium business range.
However, they own another well-known company that does provide shared hosting.
No shared web hosting
As previously stated, Liquid Web is intended for higher-tier customers with more stringent requirements. Individuals or hobbyists are not eligible for shared hosting plans.
Having said that, Liquid Web bought iThemes, a WordPress specialist that sells themes, plugins, and shared hosting under its own brand. If you’re looking for shared hosting providers, iThemes already has a good reputation in the WordPress community.
Although many Liquid Web reviews complain about the lack of shared hosting, they don’t realize iThemes offers it.
Liquid Web offers high-performance servers in the United States and Europe. This service powers your web presence with dedicated server hardware that is not shared with any other users.
Servers include Intel Xeon processors with multiple cores, at least 16GB of RAM, SSD storage, 5 TB of bandwidth, backup disks, backup applications, RAID configurations, security programs, and cPanel.
These are not cheap, but they compare favorably to other web hosts that provide dedicated servers. Prices start at $169 monthly for an Intel Xeon 1230v6 and go all the way up to $411.75 monthly for an Intel Xeon Gold 6226R with 128GB of RAM and RAID 10.
These are not only high-priced hosting servers but also premium hosting servers. This clearly indicates that the company is firmly committed to the “build quality, charge fairly” model.
In terms of power and efficiency, virtualization rules. It’s also where Liquid Web’s value is. Liquid Web offers 8 VPS hosting plans ranging from $15 to $129 per month.
Liquid Web, like dedicated servers, has chosen high-performance servers at high prices. These servers have 2 CPU cores, 40 GB SSD, 10 TB bandwidth, and run Linux.
With 16 GB RAM, 8 CPU cores, and 200 GB SSD storage, the 10 TB bandwidth cap is lifted.
Free InterWorx, Plesk Web Pro, or cPanel Admin are included in VPS hosting plans.
Managed WordPress Hosting
Fully managed WordPress hosting is a popular choice for small businesses, so Liquid Web has to compete hard. It competes under the Nexcess name.
You get fully managed WordPress hosting, optimized servers, pre-installed WordPress, free SSL, free site migrations, automatic updates, and access to all WordPress plugins, among others.
These plans range from $19/month for a single site with 15GB storage and 2TB bandwidth to $999/month for up to 250 sites with 800GB storage and 10TB bandwidth.
While the page claims no traffic limits, the plans do. During testing, we were unable to utilize our 2TB bandwidth allocation, which is odd.
Cloud hosting plans are either standard or dedicated. Both deliver high performance while being scalable, deployable, and manageable.
A primary node, load balancer, 960GB SSD, and 10TB bandwidth start at $265 per month and go up to $1,105 per month for 1 primary, 4 web nodes, load balancer, 1440GB SSD, NFS replication, and 10TB bandwidth.
Most plans use CentOS 7 with cPanel.
Cloud dedicated servers are for users who need more power. Dedicated cloud servers can handle entire LMS, SaaS applications, and much more.
Infiniband plans start at $149 per month for Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5 with 4 cores.
Custom options are also available.
You can choose from InterWorx, Plesk Web Pro, or cPanel Pro.
Reseller Web Hosting
Liquid Web also has a proven reseller hosting business plan. You can resell services using a VPS, dedicated server, or cloud VPS with the company’s blessing.
There are servers in the US and Europe, and it will help you get started reselling their services.
Discounts start small but grow as you sell more hosting. If nothing else, it may spark something special in you!
Other Web Hosting Services
LIQUID WEB also provides complimentary services such as managed WooCommerce and Magento hosting and a full range of dedicated enterprise hosting plans.
Each is a variation of the above plans.
Highlights of Hosting with Liquid Web
Additionally, Liquid Web has several advantages that make it a worthwhile option for web hosting.
Linux and Windows hosting
Across several hosting tiers, Liquid Web offers both Linux and Windows hosting. While Linux is the more popular choice, hosting applications like Exchange, SharePoint and.Net require Windows servers.
Both are listed in the service boxes for many of the plans.
Control panel options
InterWorx, Plesk, and cPanel are some of the web host control panels available. Each is available on all plans. Some plans may be restricted to one or the other, but many allow you to choose your control panel.
Some prefer Plesk’s simplicity, while others prefer cPanel’s practicality. Whatever your preference, it should work with your hosting plan.
Based in California, Liquid Web Team also has a data center in Amsterdam. This makes it a much viable option for businesses in Europe and America that require rapid performance.
It also allows you to improve your presence in other markets, mainly using a cloud solution.
Almost all Liquid Web plans include security. Plan add-ons or CMS extensions are compatible with all plans. Included in the security options are SSL and VPNs.
If you use Joomla or WordPress, you can add an extra layer of security to the platform. Plugins like iThemes Security Pro can enhance that.
Plugins like iThemes Security Pro can enhance that. With this WordPress plugin, you can make your website even more secure.
Most Liquid Web plans include daily free backups. If the security measures fail, this is a significant benefit that protects you. Most plans offer backup, but premium plans offer daily backup.
The iThemes Backupbuddy plugin provides all the tools you need to quickly restore your website in the event of a disaster.
There aren’t many hosting companies that promise 100% uptime, but Liquid Web is one of them. Most hosts only offer 99 percent to cover themselves in case of an emergency. Liquid Web expands.
That 1 percent matters if you host high availability applications or sell SaaS products to your own customers.
In the area of customer service, Liquid Web has always sought to set itself apart. All customers have 24/7 customer service. They call it ‘heroic support’ and promise to answer all customer support calls, live chats, and helpdesk tickets within 59 minutes. They pride themselves on being the most helpful humans in hosting, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever receive less than what they promise.
We didn’t get an opportunity to test Liquid Web support to see if it was just a boilerplate “Thanks for contacting us” or genuine help from support staff. In any case, few web hosts are confident enough to offer such guarantees.
It also has a decent documentation section on its website for those who prefer self-help. It isn’t the most in-depth or easiest to use, but it is comprehensive and should cover most of your needs.
The search function is quick and usually finds what you’re looking for.
We can’t thoroughly test response time and server performance, but basic web tool checks show swift server response. Other liquid web reviews have praised Liquid Web servers for their speed and performance.
Liquid Web Pricing
Liquid Web is a premium hosting provider and, therefore, more expensive. But you get what you pay for.
Liquid Web’s managed WordPress hosting starts at $19. Try to compare that to Green Geeks at $10.95 or SiteGround (read our review) at $8.99.
This is reflected in the range.
You get more for your money. You get 100% uptime, excellent customer service, fast servers, and plenty of hardware.
While pricing appears to be a flaw in Liquid Web, it seems less so when viewed as an investment in performance.
So now you know the features and benefits of Liquid Web, the question is how is it to live and work with the plans? How easy is it to install WordPress?
No Liquid Web review would be concluded without a real-world test, so we did just that.
It’s easy to join Liquid Web. Choose a hosting plan and click the blue Get Started button. You are taken to a registration form. You can see your plan details on the right side of the screen.
At the top, you’ll see a progress bar, which indicates how far you’ve progressed through the app. That was really well done.
Fill out the form, and you can make your payment using a credit card or PayPal.
Spark managed to host include:
- 15 GB storage
- 2 TB of bandwidth
- Free daily backups
- WordPress pre-installed
- Automatic WordPress updates
- iThemes Security Pro and iThemes Sync
- Free migration

When the confirmation emails arrive, use the login details to access your hosting. Our emails came in about ten minutes, which isn’t bad.
Signing in and setting up
After signing in, you’ll be able to navigate easily. We went with WordPress-managed hosting. WordPress was ready to use, with SSL already set up and premium WordPress plugins installed.
We just needed to pick a control panel, a WordPress theme and start building.
The WordPress backend and dashboard pages loaded quickly. Everything worked smoothly. It was a great pleasure to work with them, which is rare with web hosts!
Create a few default pages and load the default theme or test site to get 97/98 on Google Pagespeed Insights. That’s a great sign.

Liquid Web Users Testimonials
Take our word for it. Here are three of many Liquid Web reviews.

Conclusion: Is This Hosting Service The Best Option For You?
Liquid Web is a good option for small businesses willing to pay for performance. If you’re ready to pay more for a BMW than a Ford, Liquid Web is for you.
It is for you if you value performance, reliability, and customer service over cost. With one of the best hosting services available, knowing that help is only 60 seconds away can be the deciding factor for inexperienced users.
That alone makes Liquid Web worth considering if you need a new web host.
What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2022?
Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!
Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.
Where Liquid Web falls short is in scalability.
You can’t realistically expect to be able to make passive income when you have to watch your store and manage ads all day.
But what if you leverage it?
With this digital real estate program, you can have the ability to completely walk away from the laptop because there is no ad management!
Sound too good to be true?
Of course it does!
But it isn’t… in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!
All you have to do is build and rank a website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!
This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.
How do you get paid and how much?
Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.
A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.
Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!
That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!
See why they call it digital real estate now?
That’s a rent payment.
The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to answer the phone…all you have to do is get the phone to ring.
Remember Liquid Web and all the small profit margins?
This one actually allows you to collect that without being on the laptop managing a store all day. Truly passive income!
The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.
You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.
Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the Liquid Web group in our opinion. This group is much more active.
Unlike Liquid Web, where you have to run ads all day and worry about getting a $5 profit off a $50 product 1,000 times over…. A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding digital real estate.
Unlike Liquid Web, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.
Digital real estate allows you to have total passive income with most of your day being spent OFF the laptop.
Now, I know you probably have tons of questions… So, check this out to learn more.
