Reality check: building a successful ecommerce business is far more complicated than the gurus make it seem.
Because of that, I don’t recommend you purchase the Yencommerce course.
That said, ecommerce can be a viable business model for the right type of entrepreneur.
Winning with ecommerce requires nailing several critical components:
- Finding a consistently winning product
- Setting up an automated funnel and ads machine
- Overcoming fickle algorithm changes
- Managing fussy overseas suppliers
- Dealing with high fraud potential
- Building a brand people love
For those reasons, it can be a complicated business model. Most newbies operate at a loss for quite some time before becoming profitable, if ever.
Rather than bash you over the head to buy yet another overpromised ecommerce “program,” we want to provide an alternative business model lacking the downsides of ecommerce dropshipping.

In every business you have those who can and those who can’t. You probably wouldn’t give a welding machine to an IT guy just like you wouldn’t trust a plumber with a Fortune 500 company network.
Everyone has a skillset and this applies here as well. Some people are better suited for Yencommerce than others.

- Casual hobbyists looking for a small side income. You need to be prepared to dive in head first and burn the diving board if you want to be successful in this program.
Long story short, seasoned ecommerce store owners and diehard entrepreneurs enter but everyone else beware.

While doing research for my Yencommerce review, I noticed the program is broken down into a few categories that target specific areas of expertise you need to succeed in ecommerce. These categories include:
- Core marketing skills
- Paid traffic and ads management
- Overall business strategy
- Hands-on application of these skills

Business Model
The ecommerce business model is pretty self-explanatory. Find things to sell and sell them online.
With Yencommerce there’s a few strategies being taught. Brandon teaches his students to build digital stores and run ads to your top selling products to generate revenue.
This is a common model we see a lot.
He also teaches direct marketing copywriting as part of his course offerings. Learning this can teach you about the customer journey and how you can write to them in a way that moves them through that journey.
The ecommerce model is solid as a whole but it does have some flaws especially if you’re pouring money into it running ads.
If you’re being taught to advertise, you need to have a high enough margin to afford the ad spend which is a common pitfall for many store owners.
Competition is also intense and people are constantly ready to jump in with higher ad budgets and still your placement from you.
Not to mention dealing with suppliers, inventory, fulfillment, customer complaints, and more.
Ecommerce is a legitimate business model but it doesn’t come without it’s headaches.
About the Guru
Yencommerce founder Brandon Nguyen serves as the guru guiding students to ecommerce success. Rather than an academic theorist, Brandon comes from actually building multiple 8-figure ecommerce brands himself. His hands-on experience infuses the training with real-world credibility.
Since starting in the direct-to-consumer space in his early 20s, Brandon has already generated over $20 million in sales. He distills the marketing, operational, and leadership principles responsible into the Yencommerce curriculum.
You’ll find your typical “guru” cringes throughout the site like him standing with a 100K Mercedes, screenshots of million-dollar revenue Shopify reports, and sitting beside rooftop infinity pools with bottles.

How Much Does Yencommerce Cost
At the time of writing, the Yencommerce cost is $47 for the “8-Figure Marketer Memos” which consists of weekly reports, insights, and strategies sent to your email.
The eCommerce Navigator which is the flagship program is $497 one time. This pricing is somewhat on par with a lot of other courses we see in this niche.
My Personal Opinion On Yencommerce
If you’ve followed my reviews for any amount of time, you know that I dive deep into ecommerce and have looked at hundreds of programs similar to this one.
On the surface, Yencommerce seems legitimate given Brandon’s claims of generating over $20 million in ecommerce revenue.
However, when evaluating any online business opportunity, we have to scrutinize beyond first impressions. Let’s analyze whether this program can realistically deliver on its passive income promises.
The coursework and training on ecommerce marketing seem legit and I’m sure you could actually make money following this program.
However, realizing actual profits is far less guaranteed despite Brandon’s exceptional results.
- Be sure to research the guru and understand his results before expecting to get the same results for yourself.
- Understand that nothing is guaranteed to you.
- Realize the power of community and support as part of an overall training program and how you may not be thrilled with what you get in Yencommerce.
Is There Really a Yencommerce Scam or Not?
The main reason people scream “yencommerce scam” is because of how little verified information exists on Brandon’s business and students.
We get screenshots of numbers but no documented proof and we really don’t know how old any of these screenshots are.
There’s also very few online reviews or true customer feedback so it immediately sparks some skepticism for me.
If I could find more positive and negative reviews from actual review sites, I’d be more compelled to trust this ecommerce website.
Because of these reasons, I do not recommend the Yencommerce program.
Not only because of the uncertainty of this program, but because of the uncertainty of ecommerce in general.
The flaws of shaky suppliers, zero product differentiation, and steadfast competition makes the whole thing a little too cutthroat for me.
Rather than bash ecommerce which can work for some, I want to offer an alternative business model lacking these downsides: Digital Leasing.
You don’t have to worry about suppliers, deal with angry customers, or hope that your ad placements stick when the competition increases their spending.
All you need to do is lease digital assets for a pre-determined amount of money, figure out what you need to earn to be happy, and scale up until you reach that point.

If there’s one thing that Yencommerce is, it’s thorough. The program covers a lot of information and that’s why I stressed early on that it’s not exactly the best choice for beginners.
It covers a few main skillsets needed for any digital marketing business, ecommerce included:

Students learn the essential marketing tactics to attract and convert customers including direct response strategies, creative content building, copywriting psychology, and backend funnel optimization. These form the core skills to promote any ecommerce business.
Paid Traffic Mastery
Extensive training exists across all major paid channels – Facebook, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, native ads, and more. Students gain expertise in launching and scaling campaigns using the latest trends and strategies.
Business Strategy
The courses build business acumen across product research, branding, team building, long-term planning, and execution management. This high-level view sets fledgeling owners up to run an actual company, not just an online store.
Hands-On Application
Yencommerce focuses heavily on real-world application through case studies, live coaching, and a vibrant community. Students collaborate and get feedback to turn knowledge into tangible stores, campaigns, and revenue.
There’s some serious value here. But keep in mind, a lot of the best ecommerce programs will teach you these things as well.
But, I do think Brandon does a nice job at being comprehensive and breaking everything into categories that make it easier to digest.
These categories are then sprinkled cross five modules that are a little more specific:

- Converting Cold Traffic

Looks to me like Brandon likes big words.
Anyway, one thing that I found to be really interesting is that Yencommerce is actually run through a platform called “Skool” which I think is easy to use. It’s similar to Patreon if you’ve ever used that.
Within those five are topics such as:

You also get access to the community which is a big part of the program. Here you can ask questions, look for guidance, ask for thoughts on products, and receive walkthroughs from experts.
One thing that seems left out is any information regarding ongoing support. It doesn’t appear like Brandon or his team offer regular calls or assistance of any kind.
This is likely the difference between paying for something once and paying on an ongoing basis. This course is a one-time fee so you’re pretty much on your own after that.

What’s the final say?
I say… stay away from Yencommerce.
I don’t mean that to be harsh but I think there are so many better solutions out there besides running Facebook ads to ecommerce products and constantly competing for the top spot and the winning product.
It just seems so exhausting.
But hey, if you’re smitten on ecommerce, this could be a legit program for you. Yencommerce delivers some serious value and Brandon Nguyen knows his stuff.
For doubters questioning the return on investment, the 90-day money back guarantee mitigates risk. Brandon clearly possesses ecommerce mastery through his $20M in sales. This program compiles his proven blueprint covering every aspect of the business.
That said, individuals seeking shortcuts to push button riches may want to evaluate their expectations.
As the training demonstrates, even 7-figure brands require immense upfront work (and money) before you can start taking pictures with fancy cars.
Expect to grind hard, put a lot of money into it, and expect nothing for quite a while.
