TK Kader is a business owner, entrepreneur, international best-selling author, SaaS founder, and angel investor.

He thinks that you can do anything with faith, discipline, and an unstoppable strategy.

Bridgewater Associates (one of the best hedge funds in the world) was where TK previously worked. He went on to found ToutApp (backed by Andreessen Horowitz and Jackson Square, two of the best venture capital firms in the world).

TK sold ToutApp to Marketo (then owned by Vista Equity Partners, one of the world’s best private equity firms) and was a member of the executive team at Marketo that helped drive its transition and eventual $4.75 billion sale to Adobe.

TK is currently the leader of the Unstoppable movement, which aims to assist individuals to live more proactive lives.

The ex-engineer in TK is all about the product, but he’s learned over time that it’s not the best place to start.

The primary guideline is to focus on the market first. As in, who really requires this?

What problem are you attempting to resolve? What is the size of that market? Do you have sufficient knowledge of that market?

According to TK, you obviously want to address a pressing and significant issue. You must be well-versed in that field.

And, believe it or not, you’d like to find some competition. If there aren’t any, there’s usually a reason.

Principle two is to find out your product after you’ve nailed the market. There is a spectrum that must be considered.

On one end of the spectrum, there is the MVP or minimum viable product. On the other hand, you’ve got all the bells and whistles, right?

According to TK, when you go to market, you want to be somewhere in the middle because it won’t be compelling if it isn’t far enough along.

However, if you strive for perfection, you may fall into the “one more feature” trap and never complete the task.

The third business principle is, of course, to go to market strategy. GTM.

So it’s all about marketing and sales, right? How do you persuade customers to pay for your software?

Put yourself in front of the market you identified in the first premise. Add them to your email list.

As you develop the software, solicit their comments. Allow them to tell you what your true value proposition is.

So they’re going to help you build your product, make sure it’s a market fit, and then you’re going to acquire pilots, which means people will prepay for the product so they can actually pilot it.

Alternatively, you can recruit beta testers who will utilize the product and provide valuable feedback. Doing so from the start eliminates the chance of developing the incorrect product.

It’ll ensure that you’re actually amassing a group of individuals in the market you’re targeting and confirming that you’re producing the proper product and that the market is real, so you’re not wasting time.

There is no order to this. And, when done correctly, it’s a full loop in which everything is iterated on, again and over, based on these three pillars.

And if you approach it in that manner, you will be able to develop a successful SaaS business.

I think TK is as genuine as they come, and he’s definitely trained to teach this material, so there’s no reason to be concerned.
