The Selling Family & Amazon Course Review (Is It Worth It?)

In this review, I will share with you my unbiased view of The Selling Family's Amazon training course. It isn't a fraud, let's start with that.

I'll go over the specifics as we go through the review and give you my final take whether or not you should invest on it.

Everyone wants to succeed on Amazon and earn passive income in the process. A successful online business, in my opinion, is about finding the business model that works and training platform that delivers.

This is exactly why you've landed on this page! You are about to find out if The Selling Family's training course on Amazon FBA is something that works.

We're going to review multiple aspects of Amazon Boot Camp to decide if it really is the best Amazon FBA training platform out there.

We'll talk about whether Amazon FBA is the right online business for you.

At the end, I'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions and comments regarding Amazon Boot Camp and dropshipping in general.

And most important, I'll show you the exact system I used to build my own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.

This system made me swear off ecommerce for good, because it uses some of the same skills in a much more powerful and profitable way!

DISCLAIMER:

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

The Selling Family Summary

Creator: Jessica and Cliff

Price to join: $495 for Amazon Boot Camp but they also sell a bunch of courses.

Do I recommend? It depends.

Selling Family

 Overall rating: 3.5/5

Background On The Selling Family

Husband and wife, Cliff and Jessica, and their son, Aiden, make up the Selling Family. Jessica handles the teaching part while Cliff takes care of the business side.

Both of them lost their jobs and survived from paycheck to paycheck, unsure what to do next. That's when they realized that  Amazon could be their way out - and it was and still is!

Selling Family Reviews

Cliff and Jessica both sell on Amazon up to this day.

Today, they are successful entrepreneurs on Amazon, and it's this success that motivated them to pay it forward by teaching others how to get started with their entrepreneurial journey with Amazon, just like they did.

It isn't just a blog, but an experience that they created particularly for newcomers. They just enjoy helping others.

If you want to become an Amazon seller, following in the footsteps of Cliff and Jessica sounds like a brilliant idea.

Thoughts On The Amazon Boot camp

The Amazon Bootcamp, which is now in V3  is the main training program that The Selling Family offers.

the selling family review

They designed the course as a guide for someone trying to generate passive income. They themselves have practiced the method as shown by the free content they offer.

Among the course modules are:

  • Proper set-up of  your Amazon business
  • Budget you'll need to put aside
  • Ranking via SEO and PPC campaigns
  • Keeping track of your supplies to ensure that you never run out.
  • Where to source products not made in China (including the USA!)
  • Proper listing and usage of high-quality images of your products
  • Implementing inspection and quality control
  • Obtaining an un-gated status in specific groups - the right way
  • Proper handling of Amazon Account Suspensions
  • Identifying and working with the long-term vendors
  • Managing product reviews and customer feedback
  • Becoming an Amazon consultant for other Amazon vendors

As you can see, the content outline is pretty massive where everything that an Amazon seller needs is covered.

You get to enjoy the following:

  • Lifetime Access to their Amazon Bootcamp course
  • High-quality video modules
  • Lifetime Access to the Facebook group
  • A slew of bonuses to keep you motivated
  • Checklist files that can be printed

And they do offer a 60-day money-back guarantee! Only trustworthy businesses are confident enough to provide such assurance.

However, there are several drawbacks:

  • There aren't many millionaires in their program.
  • There is no personal assistance, though very few courses provide this.
  • The course would not go into great depth about private-label tactics.
  • Those who live in the United States can benefit the most from this service.

There just isn't anything wrong with this program, especially at such an affordable price!

Alternatives To Their Amazon Bootcamp V3

Yes, there are better alternatives. However, at the price point given, The Selling Family offers the best value for money for North Americans.  Those interested in retail arbitrage strategies, in particular.

Private-label is, in my opinion, the best Amazon approach today. You won't get booted off listings as much, and you won't have to deal with price wars as often. You have complete control of the product and the supply chain. With private label, it is possible generate a full-time income.

It's also worth noting that retail arbitrage is on its way to becoming obsolete. Department stores and brands are tired of resellers purchasing cheaper products.

Best Alternative To The Selling Family

Selling Family

Amazing Selling Machine is the best alternative. It is the world's most popular Amazon course in terms of number of students enrolled.  But, as I've previously mentioned, it isn't cheaper.

ASM is known for carrying a hefty price tag. Despite this, loads of new students still end up enrolling each month.

Why is this so?

Simply because it produces results. The outcome always speaks louder than words. ASM's graduates are among the world's top Amazon sellers.

The majority of the Amazon courses across the globe are patterned after ASM, but come with a lower price tag. What's the harm in this, you might ask. You get exactly what you pay for. So it shouldn't be surprising if you don't yield as much results as you would expect from a high-quality provider like ASM.

ASM has also produced more millionaires than most courses. If you're not yet convinced, just take a look at the solid user testimonials you'd find in the in their website and other platforms.

ASM has been running for seven long years now, and their solid track record pretty much says it all.

Comparable Alternative To The Selling Family

Alternative To The Selling Family

Jim Cockrum

It's difficult to equate The Selling Family to Amazing Selling Machine at this stage. They are selling to two distinct groups of entrepreneurs. The typical ASM student carries at least $15,000 in their bank account, and the rest who don't, search elsewhere.

Jim Cockrum has the most similar training and connection to The Selling Family. He offers a course titled, "The Proven Amazon Course," which is  just a marginally better option than The Selling Family.

Jim's course is about the same price and offers much of the same opportunities. To be honest , it can be difficult to tell the difference. Jim has been in the industry for over ten years! TSF has been in the industry for a lot less than that. You can also access Silent Team Facebook group of Jim without becoming a member, and be part of the 50,000+ student community of dedicated individuals.

Jim is also a family guy with high morals, and he still shares in the community and posts using his own Facebook profile. You get the impression that he isn't here for the hype.

However, unlike TSF, his course has produced only a few millionaires.

Why Mindset Is The Real Key

The thing about Amazon courses is that they are ineffective. Yes, you read that right.

Amazon courses are only as effective as to the amount of work you are willing to put in. It is up to you, the user, to do the job. They do prepare and assist you, but the final decision will be yours.

It is ultimately your duty to make it happen.

the amazon boot camp

I completely agree with this one, particularly since it's about making money online.

You must remain dedicated. Essentially, your driving force is what would propel you during the difficult times. It will not always be convenient for you, but the rewards will be well worth it.

So, before enrolling in an Amazon course, make sure that your attitude is in order. You've got to have the winning mindset. Or else, you're already defeated before you even start.

Mentors who have guided me are:

  • Gary Vaynerchuk
  • Tony Robbins (most famous)
  • Tom Bilyeu
  • Grant Cardone
  • Tim Ferriss

All five of these men have had a significant impact on my life. In the last 10 years, I've spent $40,000 on personal growth. The truth of the matter is that investing to enhance my skills and knowledge has yielded the highest returns. So, being successful at  Amazon for me is just secondary.

FAQs

How Do I Apply For FBA?

Go to the 'Services' tab and choose 'Fulfilled by Amazon' from the drop down menu. This will take you to a different page. You'll see an option to 'Enroll for FBA today' at the bottom right corner of this tab.

Can You Still Make Money On Amazon FBA 2021?

In 2021, the only way you can make money on Amazon is to sell private label products through Amazon's FBA network. Approximately 71% of all Amazon sellers use the private label system to run their shop. Ultimately, once you have your product, you can start selling it on Amazon via FBA.

There's a lot that comes along with dropshipping that many people struggle with. In fact, check out our Top 5 Reason Why Dropshippers Fail.

Now, don't get me wrong...

You can certainly make money with Amazon FBA, but if you're gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become a dropshipper (which, trust me, isn't easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you're learning the ropes.

The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month is so simple that making money really does become second nature.

How Much Can You Make On Amazon FBA?

The majority of Amazon sellers earn at least $1,000 a month, and the super-sellers generate up to $250,000 a month — that's $3 million in annual revenue! Almost half of Amazon vendors (44%) earn $1,000-$25,000 per month, indicating an annual revenue of $12,000-$300,000.

What Is Amazon Boot Camp?

Amazon Boot Camp is an online learning platform offered by The Selling Family (Taught primarily by Jessica Larrew) that teaches you how to make your Amazon business profitable. It will essentially train you to master the Amazon FBA's entire process.

Is The Selling Family Legit?

Many newcomers will learn from the course at the price point offered. It's intended for those who opt for the basic information. The course is not of the same tier as Amazing Selling Machine, because most potential prospects do not have the financial means to compete with the big dogs.

The Selling Family does not even appeal that much in Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Europe, or even in Canada. Reason being is the strong focus on retail arbitrage rather than the most stable streams like Wholesale and Private-Label.

TSF is perfect for those who just want the basics about the Amazon FBA process at an affordable price. What's more, t here is a money-back guarantee within 60 days.

I hope this has cleared up any misunderstandings that you might prior reading my review . With no affiliate links, I've written the most comprehensive and unbiased analysis of The Selling Family's Amazon Bootcamp possible. Yes, there are those on Google that use ‘scam' keywords to get your attention, but I didn't have to. I simply wanted to provide you with the facts.

It's not easy selling on Amazon. You'd encounter some stumbling blocks, require some startup money, and it won't be easy.

It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful Amazon FBA business... But there are better ways to build a business other than with dropshipping.

My #1 pick proves this.

Because unlike TSF's Amazon Course, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.

What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Leasing

Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!

Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.

Yup, Digital Leasing!

Where The Selling Family falls short is in scalability.

You can’t realistically expect to be able to make passive income when you have to watch your store and manage ads all day.

But what if you leverage it?

With this Digital Leasing program, you can have the ability to completely walk away from the laptop because there is no ad management!

Sound too good to be true?

Of course it does!

But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!

All you have to do is build and rank a website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!

This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.

How do you get paid and how much?

Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.

A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.

Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!

That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!

See why they call it Digital Leasing now? That’s a rent payment.

The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to answer the phone…all you have to do is get the phone to ring.

Remember The Selling Family and all the small profit margins?

This one actually allows you to collect that without being on the laptop managing a store all day.

Truly passive income!

The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.

You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.

Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the The Selling Family group in our opinion. This group is much more active.

Kylie - 6 CURRENT SEO CLIENTS.webp

Unlike The Selling Family, where you have to run ads all day and worry about getting a $5 profit off a $50 product 1,000 times over…. A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding Digital Leasing.

Unlike The Selling Family, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.

Digital Leasing allows you to have total passive income with most of your day being spent OFF the laptop.

Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…

So, check this out to learn more.
