Is Tecademics A Scam? (Most Updated Tecademics Review 2021)
You’ve probably come across Tecademics, and figured you’d like to find out more, right?
Well, you’ve landed on the right page because this is the latest Tecademics review you’ll find online.
Tecademics has gone through several changes since it was founded in 2016, which includes Chris Record’s departure.
Chris was Tecademics’ founder.
Most of the reviews you’d find online are based on the old system of the company, that’s why the information on their reviews and the current website do not match.
Before I get into the details, let me just say that I am not affiliated in any way with Tecademics. My goal here is to give you an honest review to help you decide if it’s worth your money and time.
We’re going to review multiple aspects of Tecademics that you won’t find in other Tecademics reviews to decide if it really is the best internet marketing training course out there.
We’ll talk about whether Tecademics is the right internet marketing course for you.
At the end, I’ll answer some of the most frequently asked questions regarding Tecademics and internet marketing in general.
And most important, I’ll show you the exact system I used to build my own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.
This system made me swear off Affiliate Marketing for good, because it uses some of the same skills, but in a much more powerful and profitable way!

What is Tecademics, aka the "Internet Marketing College" And Chris Record?
That was the name they used prior to their public launch in August 2016. “Tecademics” is a combination of the terms “Technology” and “Academics.”
It is essentially a training provider for anything related to internet marketing. It is referred to as a “college” since it has a physical campus located in North Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
Their website features several videos and photos of their students in classrooms and different areas in the campus. This is part of their marketing scheme to promote themselves as the best college and provider of internet marketing training.
To watch these videos, make sure that your browser is up to date.
Here's The Story...
Today, traditional schools don’t show students they earn money online or the actual expertise and skills needed for effective internet marketing.
Furthermore, there are many “gurus” out there who are always introducing “make money online programs.”
You won’t also find a fully reliable training system that works for everyone. As a result, Chris Record, the founder, established Tecademics in 2016 to be the only College that provides students with real knowledge and skills on making money online.
To make this a reality, he collaborated with a number of internet marketing experts who have raked up millions of dollars online, including PhDs, to create a program or a system that would disrupt the industry.
The Outdated Tecademics Info
Tecademics has experienced significant changes, as mentioned earlier, since they were first launched.
As a result, there is a lot of out-of-date material you’d find about Tecademics online. Below are some of them:
1. Core Products
If you’ve come stumbled upon old Tecademics reviews, you’d find that they were marketing four major products:
- TEC – The Entrepreneur Club ($100/month)
- IMPACT – Internet Marketing Principles And Core Training ($2,000)
- MASTERS ($10,000)
These items are no longer available so getting in-depth with them is not gonna help you.
What they have in their current and updated curriculum are the “16 individual success paths,” which I’ll go through below.
2. Business Model
Tecademics previously had a multi-tier affiliate program, which is equivalent to an MLM enterprise.
They essentially had a compensation scheme in order to allow participants to sell their brands. Members would also get different incentives for marketing their four primary brands.
They seem to have discarded today the entire affiliate program/ MLM business model.
I believe this is a wise decision as it avoids the the usual MLM pitfalls and focus more on developing their program courses.
3. Lesson Structure
Tecademics used to offer online classes for those who couldn’t make it to Arizona for the lecture. However, it appears that they have stopped this as well.
You also can’t buy stuff from their website, not even see how much each course costs. They just give you the course information.
If you wish to register in any of their classes, you must first contact them by emailing them.
4. The CEO of the Company
Sad news is, Chris Record, its founder, decided to leave the company two years after it was just launched, and was replaced by Jim Piccolo.
Chris’ resignation appears to be because of disputes over the future of Tecademics.
Chris was the backbone of Tecademics, which is why I said this is sad news. He is a seasoned and highly successful internet marketer which former students loved. The responses from students are overwhelming.
The following are the courses provided by Tecademics.
The old products were replaced by these “16 Individual Success Paths,” as they call it.
- Agency Start Up
- Digital Asset Brokering
- Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurs
- Drone Pilot
- Ecom Foundations
- Ecom Management
- Ecom Mastery
- Email Marketing
- Facebook Ad Specialist
- Lead Generation Strategist
- Online Video Marketing Specialist
- Pay Per Click
- Print On Demand
- SEO Strategist
- Social Media Ad Specialist
- Social Media Manager
There are three courses in every “path:” Foundational Courses, Core Courses, and Tactical Courses.
The Sprint Course and the Optional Course are the two additional courses. They are essentially the simplified version that offers extra but optional lectures.
The “Drone Pilot Path,” for example, has such distinct courses as shown below.
The Tecademics Affiliate Program
Tecademics provides you an excellent opportunity to raise money from its affiliate marketing program. It is completely free to become an affiliate marketer. It pays a 40% commission on total sales and can be split with the person who recruited you.
Can You Really Make Money With Tecademics?
There’s a lot that comes along with Affiliate Marketing that many people struggle with.
In fact, check out our Top 5 Reason Why Most Affiliate Marketers Fail.
Now, don’t get me wrong…
You can certainly make money with Affiliate Marketing, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to do this business(which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you’re learning the ropes.
The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month is so simple that making money really does become second nature.
Tecademics Pro & Cons
1. Great Company Mission
I admire the company’s mission which is to establish a college that educates about how the internet can be used in making money online in various ways. This is something that no other training school has done.
Yes there may be traditional schools that offer classes in certain aspects of internet marketing, but they aren’t taught by those who are making money off it.
Professors understand the principle, which can quickly become obsolete in today’s digital world. But they lack the practical skills.
Going to college doesn’t guarantee you’ll get rich.
2. Wide Range Of In-Depth Courses
Tecademics works as a College, so they offer several courses about various topics, not just one. The course outline is comprised of 16 “success paths” and 71 different lectures in total.
Most notably, all these are designed and taught by instructors who are experts in their respective fields.
3. Reputable Founder
Chris Record, Tecademics’ founder, has a track record to show off. Though he left the company, his genius didn’t. That’s why, the current management maintains the vision and mission he founded before he left Tecademics.
Chris was the top earner for the now-defunct, Empower Network MLM company.
He had also successfully released a range of digital products, including Dark Post Profit.
He owns a membership software called the “Smart Member.”
Digging into his track record didn’t disappoint at all.
4. It's A Physical School.
Tecademics isn’t your typical online training program. it’s a college that has a physical campus located in Arizona.
5. Awesome Networking Opportunities
If you’re able to join their classes in Arizona, you’ll be able to meet and network with lots of entrepreneurs coming from all over the world.
You might be seating next to a 6 or 7-figure earners in the same classroom. This is an extremely awesome and unique opportunity to meet like-minded people.
If you’re lucky enough, you can even meet your future business partners.
This is something that we can’t enjoy if we just learn online instead of attending a real class.
1. You Must Travel To Arizona.
They appear to have discontinued the online courses, so your only option to be a student of their program is to actually be physically present in their campus, which is pretty much why I said you need to be in Arizona or anywhere in the US.
They want to create more campuses across the world, but that’s not gonna happen in the foreseeable future.
2. High Tuition Fee (Exclude Your Business Cost)
Interestingly, the prices of the courses are not disclosed on their website. To find out more, you must email them.
But based on their previous products, the tuition fee was valued at $10K.
This is, of course, not a surprise anymore because it operates as a full-fledged physical campus so obviously, it’s gonna be expensive.
But it’s still a lot less expensive, for sure, than a regular college tuition fee.
Aside from that, I’d like to point out that you also need need to know how much you’ll need to get started with your own online business.
Consequently, if you’re thinking of taking their course, you’ll need to factor in the costs of starting one.
3. You Need To Know What You Want To Do.
Finally, Tecademics won’t really be of much help when deciding which career path to take.
Instead, they are more focused on teaching the required knowledge and skills to succeed in whichever career you might pursue.
It’s the same process as applying to a regular college – you decide first what you want to learn then pick the college you wish to go to.
Is Tecademics a Scam?
Tecademics is definitely not a scam.
They are a legitimate business that provides legitimate courses to educate people about internet marketing and how to make money online, to ultimately enable them to pursue the kind of lifestyle they want.
Having a physical campus is a good indication that a company is trustworthy. But then again if it requires you to fly to Arizona (If you’re outside USA) just to be able to participate plus sufficient funds to sustain you, you’ve got to give it a second thought.
It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful business… But there are better ways to build a business other than with Tecademics.
Because unlike Tecademics, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.
What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2021?
Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!
Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.
Where Tecademics falls short is in scalability.
You can’t realistically expect to be able to make an infinite amount of phone calls every day, you are limited by time.
But what if you leverage it?
With this digital real estate program, you can have the phone ringing at every minute of the day and never have to pick up once!
Sound too good to be true?
Of course it does!
But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!
All you have to do is build and rank a website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!
This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.
How do you get paid and how much?
Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.
A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.
Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!
That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!
See why they call it digital real estate now?
That’s a rent payment.
The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to answer the phone…all you have to do is get the phone to ring.
Remember Tecademics talking about daily commission checks?
This program actually allows you to collect that without being on the phone all day.
Truly passive income!
The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.
You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.
Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the Tecademics in our opinion. This group is much more active.
Unlike Tecademics, where you’re the closer…these websites turn into your closer. A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding digital real estate.
Unlike Tecademics, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.
Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…
