What is SimilarWeb Pro?

SimilarWeb is a global cross-device market intelligence company used by 100,000s of big and small businesses around the world, including Google, eBay, Nike, and United Airlines, to discover, decide, and deploy their digital strategy.

SimilarWeb has raised $65 million to date and employs over 250 people across eight global offices.

SimilarWeb was named by Red Herring as one of Europe’s top 100 fastest-growing companies in 2015. Wired Magazine named it one of the hottest 100 start-ups.

Now, I want to be completely honest here, so…

<—Put Disclaimer Here—>

This review will go over Similarweb to see if it really is the best web-tracking tool out there.

You’ll learn whether SEO is the right online business for you.

And at the end, you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions regarding Similarweb Pro and web-tracking tools in general.

But most importantly, you’ll see the exact system many others have used to build their own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.

This system made them swear off SEO for good, because it uses some of the same skills but in a much more powerful and profitable way!

About Similarweb

SimilarWeb is a competitive intelligence tool for websites that provides traffic and marketing data to increase your market share. The tool allows users to quickly overview a site’s traffic, ranking, and user engagement. Users can look for data by entering the URL of a specific site or by category, industry, or country, with the top 50 sites listed.

SimilarWeb is a British company founded in Israel in 2009 by Or Offer and Nir Cohen. We’ve included SimilarWeb in our SEO software comparison because it’s positioned as a Market Intelligence solution that provides marketing and SEO components.

SimilarWeb employs over 400 people across the globe, with offices in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, and Burlington. Since its inception, SimilarWeb has raised over $112 million. Similar Web sees itself as a direct competitor to Alexa.

Similarweb Features

The collection of web-tracking tools offered by Similarweb is split into two pricing tiers: free and enterprise. You can test the waters with Similarweb’s free plan before deciding whether or not it’s suitable for you and your company. With the free subscription, you’ll get five results per metric, one month of mobile app data, and three months of web traffic data.

Similarweb’s enterprise subscription unlocks its full potential, allowing you to take full advantage of its many features, including the ability to onboard and manage multiple users simultaneously, unlimited results for each searched metric, 28 months of mobile app data, and three years’ worth of web traffic data.

On the landing page of the Similarweb platform, under Solutions, you will find a wide range of business management and optimization tools. Among these are digital research and marketing intelligence tools for benchmarking competitors and conducting company and audience research, sales intelligence tools for generating leads and learning how to find/work with new and potential clients, and investor tools for stock management and consumer demand

When it comes to selecting a subscription plan, the price you will pay is determined by the number of services your company will require. Finally, most users can expect to spend between $200 and $800 per month.

It is clear that Similarweb’s sole goal is to help you grow your business by keeping your brand relevant, flexible, and one step ahead of the competition, even though most of these advanced resources are behind professional and enterprise-level paywalls (with numerous pages linking back to the registration page and the Similarweb’s price options).

In-depth SimilarWeb Pro features

SimilarWeb converts raw data into simple and useful metrics such as traffic sources, organic vs. paid searches, social traffic, similar sites, and more. SimilarWeb’s default view displays site traffic over the previous six months. It shows global, country, and category rankings and audience insights based on country and traffic sources.

Competitor KPI analysis

If your competitors’ websites receive sufficient visitors, this software makes it simple to monitor their activity.

SimilarWeb’s data set includes the following:

  • Number of visitors
  • Mobile/desktop distribution
  • Monthly visitors
  • Unique visitors
  • Bounce rate
  • Average visit duration
  • Pageviews per session
  • Traffic distribution according to acquisition channels

Apart from Alexa, no other SEO software provides this data, which is essential for comparing its performance to its competitors.

Keyword analysis

This section enables you to identify the organic and paid keywords used by each of your competitors. The following information is available in detail:

  • Keywords\sLanding page
  • Paid/free distribution
  • Search volume\sPosition in SERPs

It has two major advantages: the high quality of its data and the user-friendliness of its software, which allows you to easily visualize all of these KPIs pleasantly.

Analysis Of Backlinks/Affiliates /Referral

The English software enables you to identify external traffic sources (affiliates/backlinks/referral) that drive traffic to your competitors’ websites. This module allows you to identify opportunities for new backlinks as well as new affiliates.

Display and CPC

It, like Semrush, does not limit itself to SEO but also provides an analysis of your competitors’ display and CPC ads.

There are ad visuals and data such as first view, landing page, number of impressions, and settings characteristics (mobile, desktop, zone).

SEO tools and software compete to deliver the best content. SimilarWeb is no exception to the rule; it has a lot of content, but it is less SEO-focused than its competitors.

Be aware that each software promotes (aggressively) its software and features within its content. As a result, you must tread carefully between SEO knowledge and the promotion of the SEO tool.

Canceling Your Subscription

Every other subscription-based service works in the same way: Spotify, Netflix, and so on. Even if you cancel your subscription, you will be able to use the service until the next billing period if you have paid for the month.

Mobile App Data Analysis

SimilarWeb has taken a significant step into the mobile arena, as one would expect from a leading online company. Their tool provides in-depth mobile app analyses that offer valuable insights about your app, allowing you to compare it to other apps in the same industry/category.

Some mobile features are in beta or are only available for Android apps. Still, the logic is clear: mobile traffic is equal to desktop traffic (or even higher in some verticals). It should be treated and measured as such.

The mobile app data analysis is divided into three categories, each of which contains useful information about Android and iOS apps:

  1. Ranking and Rating– based on audience reviews, installation numbers, app category ranking, and top free category ranking.
  2. App Engagement– Metrics of engagement, user habits, and lifespan (only for android apps)
  3. Store page analysis– app store data provided compared to other apps (only for android apps)

Similarweb User Experience and Privacy

We evaluated Similarweb’s free tier on a 2021 Macbook Pro running Big Sur 11.2.3. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera have Similarweb browser extensions. This review used the Similarweb Chrome extension.

Before using the extension, you must join the Similarweb Panel. In a nutshell, this is how the company requests your user data. Similarweb’s entire business model is based on tracking user data across the Web. Reading the site’s privacy statement will help you understand how and why Similarweb collects personal data and what it does with it.

We went straight to after joining the Similarweb Panel. After landing on the landing page, we opened the Similarweb extension in Chrome. We were immediately greeted with global, country, and category rank and bounce rate, pages per visit, monthly visits, and average session duration.

Not only that. When you click More Insights at the top of the page, a new tab opens with a Similarweb profile of the site you’re on. You can see how much Web tracking the site generates through referrals, mobile apps associated with the brand, and more.

There’s even a Compare+ button that lets you compare multiple sites’ metrics at once. As you use the free extension’s advanced features, you’ll be zipped to a separate tab (at least in Chrome) and asked to sign up for a Similarweb account, free or paid.

The competition

Similarweb competes against a variety of other website traffic aggregators and marketing software suites. SEMrush, a well-known SEO optimizer with products and resources comparable to Similarweb, has the added benefit of a mobile app for on-the-go monitoring.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is another popular optimizer and reference portal. Google Analytics is simple to use and easy to learn, with many tracking options and customization features available at no cost.

Similarweb Support

To inquire about any problem, SimilarWeb Pro offers the following support options:

FAQs/Forum, 24/7 (Live rep), Knowledge Base, Phone Support.

Multiple users have asked account management for support and received nothing for days straight while being charged a huge monthly amount.

Final verdict: Similarweb Pro Review

If you own a website or work in online marketing, SimilarWeb can help you research your competitors. You can utilize this tool to see what your competitors are up to, benchmark their performance, and assess your market. For campaign measurement and advertising decisions based on traffic size and conversion rate, you should compare SimilarWeb’s data estimates to accurate data from Google Analytics.

If you want to track global traffic, SimilarWeb may be the best option for you. Finally, SimilarWeb provides a reasonable estimate of the percentage breakdown of different traffic sources to the analyzed site.

Overall, SimilarWeb is a must-have tool for online marketers.

What Is Our #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2021?

Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!

Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.

Yup, Digital Real Estate!

Where Similarweb falls short is in scalability.

You can’t realistically expect to be able to do SEO all day everyday.

It just takes too many resources (money included) for any regular person to bootstrap, not to mention some clients can be real headaches!

But what if you could make even more money off of little local websites without having to spend all your day monitoring different campaigns?

With this digital real estate program, you can profit off LOCAL traffic to your website every single day!

Sound too good to be true?

Of course it does!

But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!

All you have to do is build and rank a LOCAL website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!

This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.

How Much Money Can You Actually Make?

Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.

A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.

Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!

That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!

See why they call it digital real estate now?

That’s a rent payment.

Because It’s YOUR ASSET

The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to worry about clients that are headaches because you own the website.

Back to SEO, why land a small $500 SEO client that is treating you like an employee, when you can own your own asset with leverage?

This model actually allows you to collect HUGE FLAT RATE DEALS. Truly passive income!

The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.

You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.

Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the Similarweb group in our opinion. This group is much more active.

Unlike Similarweb, where you’re getting maybe $250 per month, you could be getting 10-20X THAT.

A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding digital real estate.

Unlike Similarweb, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.

Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…
