Passion Product Formula Review (Updated 2024): Is Travis Marziani’s Course Legit?

TLDR – Travis Marziani Reviews: What’s The Verdict On Passion Product Formula?

I’m sure there are many of you reading this that would rather get the Cliff Notes on whether or not Travis Marziani is the real deal and if Passion Product Formula would actually be worth your time and money, so let’s tackle that. 

I’ve written quite a bit on the topic of Amazon FBA, and if I had the opportunity to look at some of my other reviews, you’d likely guess that I’m not all that impressed with the Amazon FBA business model. There’s a lot of juggling involved. 

This isn’t to say that you can’t make money with it; in fact, there are plenty of people who do, but when I was doing Amazon FBA, there was a ton of information that left me scratching my head a lot. 

If you get the chance to read other Travis Marziani reviews, you can see that he does his best to help you with the learning curve, but there are other issues that even the most experienced FBA’er still battles, market saturation being a big one. 

Now, before you start thinking that I’m saying that Travis is just selling you a bill of goods on an impossible way to make money, I want to make it clear that Travis truly looks after his students. 

Assuming this is the first time you’ve been to my site, I’m gonna guess you haven’t seen my Sophie Howard Amazon reviews or this review I did on Tom Wang’s Amazon FBA Masterclass.  If you haven’t, stick with me until the end before you check them out. 

Competition can be a tough animal to tame; in fact I can remember thinking that I had a winning product from the research I had done, just to find that there were other sellers with the exact items and they had a two-week jump on me. 

It’s kind of like showing up at a Super Bowl party thinking it started at 8:00 but it actually started at 6:00.  All the good seats for the game are taken and none of the good snacks are left. 

At this point, your left with a few choices: 

Go out to grab something to eat just before kick off.

Try to find something appetizing from a charcuterie board that’s been picked clean.

Make the long drive home and miss 30 minutes of the first half. 

I’m sure you can guess that none of these are good options. 

That’s why I’ve been building a business with this Digital Leasing training for the last few years, and it’s been doing wonders for my bottom line. 

I get that looking for the perfect business has a certain level of anxiety built into it, but I think it’s always a good idea to have your head on a swivel for better business models. 

If you believe that Passion Product Formula offers you the chance to build the type of business that you’ve been looking for, then give it a shot. I have no doubt that the coaching that Travis provides is stellar. 

However, if you’re still on the fence because you feel deep down that something might be missing, then I believe that Digital Leasing covers those bases. 

I’ll go into detail on that a little bit later, but for now, let’s look at the type of people who would be a good fit for Passion Product Formula and who wouldn’t be. 

Who Should Consider Passion Product Formula And Who Should Look Somewhere Else?

I always have people come to me and ask whether or not they should join this program or that one, and my usual response to them is to ask something like “What does your gut tell you?”

I don’t mean to sound cheeky when I say that. I just personally believe if most people listen to their conscience, then they could save themselves a lot of hassle. 

Next, what I’d like to do is set the backdrop for you to have a conversation with yourself. 

If you can see yourself in any of these situations, Passion Product Formula just might be something you can latch on to: 

• You’re a beginner and don’t know the first thing about picking a product or even what the best dropshipping niches are. 
• You’ve figured out how to make a few dollars, but the money you spent in marketing always puts you in the red. 
• This Reddit user says that she’s been successful with Amazon FBA, but competition and PPC ads has been cutting into her profit margins. She would also suggest joining a mastermind to learn different strategies. 

If you can see yourself in any of these scenarios, you might want to put Passion Product Formula on the back burner for now: 

• The Amazon FBA business model seems like a good way to make money, but you have also been researching how to become an Amazon affiliate which can make you about the same amount of money, but without all the moving pieces. 
• This Reddit user says she bought Passion Product Formula, but says his free YouTube videos cover the same material that’s in the training. She does say she likes his Facebook group, but he delegates most of his coaching to other team members

Next, I’d like to take a step back and get a broader look at the Passion Product Formula business model, then get into Travis Marziani’s background.

The Passion Product Formula Business Model

If you do a Google search for “Amazon FBA Courses”, you’ll find pages and pages worth of training listed and other reviews talking about the top programs that are up for sale, so I can’t say that Travis’ course is all that unique.

However, I will give him props on picking out products that you truly like as opposed to those that you have no emotional ties to.

The way Amazon FBA works is that you have a product that you want to sell, either it’s your own product or someone else’s. You then send these products to Amazon for them to keep in inventory and they will process orders and ship them to your customers.

They even handle all your customer support. All you have to do is handle the sales and make sure you don’t run out of products.

How Much Does Amazon FBA Cost? 

Storing your products Amazon is broken down into two different categories: 

1. Apparel
2. Non-apparel

Costs will vary from a little over $3.00 to roughly $160 per item

These fees include services like:

• Retrieving and packing your product
• Shipping orders to your customer
• Customer support and returns

However, these fees don’t include inventory which will cost you $.75 to $2.40 per cubic foot depending on the item.

How Do You Make Money With Amazon FBA? 

In theory, making money with Amazon FBA is simple. It’s just like running a normal business.

Let’s say you own a sporting goods store… you buy products at a low price (wholesale) and in bulk, then when someone comes in to buy a basketball or the latest exercise equipment, they pay you a markup which can range anywhere from 50% to 100% on average depending on the item. 

As long as your expenses are low enough, you’re making money! 

To become an Amazon Seller, it will cost you $39.99 per month plus the inventory and processing costs that we just covered. 

To be successful in this, you should keep in mind the following: 

1. Create a brand that sticks with people, this will help with repeat customers.
2. Find products in a niche that you have experience with. 
3. Use software for keyword research, tracking and managing inventory. 
4. Be a meticulous record keeper, make a note of everything including customer complaints. 
5. Purchase insurance with general liability coverage.

Who Is Travis Marziani?

Travis Marziani is originally from Los Angeles California and is widely known in the ecommerce industry. When you first look at him, you might think “surfer dude” or “beach bum”, but he graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Soon after, he read a book called “The Four Hour Work Week” by Tim Ferris which planted the idea of creating passive income in Travis’ mind, after that, he was all in. 

With the help of his mother, he co-founded a clothing brand called BDancewear followed by his own brand called Performance Nut butter. After that, he starting teaching other people how to make money selling products that they’re passionate about online. 

At one point his YouTube channel had a following of over 315,000 subscribers, but something recently happened and it looks like his YouTube Channel is now unavailable.

How Much Does Passion Product Formula Cost?

He launched Passion Product Formula in 2019 for $997 and, despite the price tag, has received some good feedback.

Is Passion Product Formula Legit Or A Scam?

If I had a nickel for every time someone asked this question whenever they wanted my opinion on a course, Jeff Bezos might hit me up for a loan. 

Let’s get it out of the way right now. 

No, Passion Product Formula is not a scam, and I believe Travis Marziani is a stand up guy with a strong background in ecommerce business. 

I just have some concerns with the Amazon FBA business model, as you might have guessed by now. 

It’s not all that different from dropshipping in a sense, it’s just that with traditional dropshipping, you handle all the grunt work on your own instead of paying Amazon to do it for you, which means your profit margins might be a little wider. 

With that in mind, I’d like to show you why Dropshipping and Amazon FBA isn’t the best business model:

In this Amazon Beginner Mastery review I show how it’s focused on teaching the beginner about the basics of Amazon FBA, and although Travis does offer his course to newcomers, the training is much more detailed. 

eCom Good Life

In this Mikey Kass review I explain that dropshipping is different from Amazon FBA in that you either inventory the products yourself, or you have the products shipped directly from the retailer to your customer. Not much is discussed on product passion or uniqueness.

My Personal Opinion About Passion Product Formula

At this point I’d like to point out that there have been some favorable statements made about Passion Products Formula and some not so favorable. 

The question is how do you wade through all the murky waters and come up with a decision that you can live with? 

That’s why I put together a five-point checklist to help you decide: 

1. Experience: Do course creators, like Travis, have real-world experience and know-how behind the materials they’re selling? 
2. Community: Do they provide a place for their students to get together and talk about issues they run into and come up with solutions. 
3. Value: Let’s face it, if this training were free, you wouldn’t need my opinion – but price isn’t the only thing to consider. If the quality of the training is on point, the price is secondary. 
4. Honesty: Will Travis be up front with you about the price of his course, or will there be any hidden fees or upsells. 
5. Online Reviews: You’ll find other reviews about Travis on places like Reddit and YouTube, just take those reviews with a grain of salt. 

Would I Recommend Passion Product Formula?

So what do I think about the Passion Product Formula? 

Well, if I were to suggest this course on its merits alone, even at $997, I would say that you probably can’t go wrong. 

There is a caveat though, and that’s this… Amazon FBA isn’t something you should consider lightly. 

If you believe that you can do this, and you’re willing to put some muscle behind it, then it’s probably for you. 

There are, however, easier business models that allow you to create passive income without all the moving pieces.

My Conclusion: Should You Join Passion Product Formula?

There are plenty of Amazon FBA courses out there, and if I had to pick one, I’ll admit that Passion Products Formula would likely be in my top 5. 

However, as I’ve mentioned, FBA is just not my #1 pick. 

Years ago, when Amazon first introduced this business model, it was a different story.  Sure, they were working out the bugs, but the competition and fees were so low that anyone could get started with a couple hundred dollars. 

That’s not the case today… and that’s why I think there’s a better way to go…
