We must first define a pyramid scheme to answer this question.

What exactly is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a type of scam in which people are guaranteed money in exchange for joining the scheme and recruiting others. There is no selling of a product or service involved.

So you're probably wondering where the money comes from.

A one-time fee is required of those who wants to join, and in return, they receive a portion of the money paid by the members they recruit on board.

The issue is that it is statistically impossible for everyone to make money since you just run out of people.

You get the rank of Cause Entrepreneur by paying the start-up fee.
