Maskcara Beauty is one of several multi-level marketing companies that sell cosmetic and skin care products. And, like many MLMs, they offer a business opportunity.
Most people are almost always wary when it comes to MLMs, worried that it might just be one of those pyramid schemes or scams. And quite rightly , there’s a number of shady MLM companies that do trick people.
That being said, it’s just right to ask, “Is Maskcara Beauty one of those scammy MLMs or is it a legit company that can actually make you money?”
We’re going to review multiple aspects of Maskcara Beauty to decide if it really is the best network marketing platform out there.
We’ll talk about whether network marketing is the right online business for you.
In the end, I’ll answer some of the most frequently asked questions regarding Maskcara Beauty and MLMs in general.
But most important, I’ll show you the exact system I used to build my own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.
This system made me swear off network marketing for good, because it uses some of the same skills in a much more powerful and profitable way!
Product Name: Maskcara Beauty
Price: $199 to $399 plus $9.95 monthly
Owner: Cara Brook
Type Of Product: Cosmetics and Skin Care MLM
Recommended: As a business opportunity, no.
Headquartered in Utah and founded in 2013 by Cara Block, a make-up artist and beauty blogger, Maskcara Beauty’s vision is to use her products as a way to motivate and empower all women, not only by self-beautification but also by providing them a business opportunity using the MLM business model.
Before I get on how you can make money off of it, let me tell you first the products that Maskcara offers.
Maskcara Beauty is very much similar to other Multi-level marketing companies like Avon or Atomy.
What many people like about maskcara beauty is that it covers a diverse range of cosmetic products. They have the following:
Masckcara Beauty products offer competitive pricing. Her eyeshadow, for example, costs between $9.60 and $11.20.
The skin care line ranges from $12.80 to $112 for a lip conditioner and complete skin care system respectively.
The company’s flagship product, however, is the IIID foundation.
Maskcara Beauty explains it this way: Since your face isn’t one dimensional, it needs layers of different foundation colors to fully match your skin tone.
IIID foundation provides exactly this, allowing you to apply different colors on specific areas of your face, rather than putting several layers using just one color or shade.
Maskcara Beauty does not recognize you as a distributor, as do other MLMs. You are regarded and called an artist. However, despite the use of this title, you are actually still a distributor.
To join and become a member, all you need is to register on their website. You have the option of signing up under the person or Artist who has recruited you.
But if you don’t have one, you can still join which would require you to purchase the “Artist Kit.” You can choose from these two options:
One thing to keep in mind is that once you purchase the Basic Kit, you will not be able to level up to the Pro Kit and avail it in the future. Essentially, they are saying to “buy the pro kit” instead.
In addition to the initial charges or startup costs, you will be charged a monthly recurring fee of $9.95 so you can access the back office tools needed to grow your business.
Maskcara Beauty, like most MLM firms, offers two methods to make money:
You must undergo a “training” period as a Maskcara Beauty Artist. There is no specific time limit for you to complete this training process.
This training phase lasts until you sell your first $800 worth of Maskcara Beauty products before graduating. Moreover, throughout this training time, you will receive a 20% commission on every product sold.
When you’ve accomplished the $800-sales requirement, you are officially a graduate, and you may now make up to 40% commissions.
Your compensation rate will also be determined by the number of sales you earn on a weekly and monthly basis. Maskcara affiliates begin at a base retail commission rate of 20%. Depending on weekly PV outcome, affiliate retail commission rates could reach 40%.
These volumes are listed below.
As with many MLM firms, if you want to make substantial money, you must bring in new recruits. That is, persuading people to join your downline or team.
You can only begin recruitment when you have completed your training. You are not permitted to do so throughout the training session. So, the sooner you meet your $800 goal, the sooner you can begin getting new recruits to build your downline.
And, like with many MLMs, your status within the firm is determined by the amount of qualified commissions and bonuses you earn. With Maskcara Beauty, they are as follows:
As with other MLM compensation programs, they can be a bit unclear and misleading, and much more difficult to explain.
I’ve never encountered even just one compensation plan of any MLM company that’s easy to understand. Unfortunately, Maskcara Beauty is one of those that employ a very complicated pay scheme.
The Personal Leader Bonus is calculated as a percentage of the Personal Leader Group Volume.
Maskcara affiliates with an Influencer ranking and above are eligible for a 2% Personal Leader Bonus.
However, I was unable to get a definition of a Personal Leader Group.
The pricing is pretty straightforward. To get your business up and running, you’ll need to purchase some kits. You may get either the Basic Kit which costs $199 or the Pro Kit which costs $399.
You also have a $9.95 monthly charge that provides you with the necessary tools to build your business.
One thing to keep in mind is that if you purchase the Basic Kit and eventually decide to upgrade to the Pro Kit, you won’t be able to do so. So, in a “sneaky” way, they are trying to direct you to buy the Pro package instead.
According to the web reviews, consumers enjoy Maskcara Beauty’s products, because of two things: the product’s quality and their competitive pricing.
People comment on how lovely and sophisticated the packaging is, in addition to how much they appreciate the content.
If you Maskcara Beauty products fail to give you 100% satisfaction, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days.
The majority of MLMs do not provide any type of training. And I find it strange that training is provided here in Maskcara Beauty.
They are requiring everyone to sell $800 worth of Maskcara products before they can officially gain access to the system. Other MLMs allow you to sell, recruit, or do both immediately after joining.
The MLM business model is definitely not the best business model to use if you want to build a business and make money.
The only party that gets to benefit from it is the company. The harsh reality is that 99 percent of those who participate in MLM will just waste their time and money.
Selling cosmetics is a bit tough, let alone persuade others to invest in this business. You’ll have to continually try to recruit to stay in the business and make money off of it.
It’s pretty much a sales job and a recruiting business, so unless you like working as a salesperson or a “serial recruiter,” things would be a little difficult here.
As in the case with most people, your inner circle, who are your friends and family, is the first one that you approach. And we all know that it almost always doesn’t end well.
Maskcara Beauty does not give any income disclosure statements for its “Artists.” This is a huge red flag.
This reveals two things to me. The first is that most artists do not make any money at all. Or two, they simply do not want to disclose it.
But my intuition tells me it’s the first.
When I uncovered income disclosure statements from other MLMs, the statistics were not very encouraging. Quite often, most of those participating, and in certain circumstances, over 90%, do not earn a considerable amount of money as promised.
Based on a number of reviews I’ve read online, the quality of the member services that Maskcara Beauty provides isn’t so great. There are mixed reviews.
There’s a lot that comes along with MLM that many people struggle with.
In fact, check out our Top 5 Reason Why Most Network Marketers Fail.
Now, don’t get me wrong…
You can certainly make money with MLM, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to do this business (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you’re learning the ropes.
The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month is so simple that making money really does become second nature.
It’s not a scam and is a legit MLM company.
I’ve never liked MLM since the odds are always against you when it comes to success. And years of statistics show that it’s a lousy business model, with most individuals who join would fail 99% of the time.
However, a small number, perhaps one percent, do prosper in MLM. If you believe you can overcome the difficulties and make it work, by all means go ahead and join Maskcara Beauty.
Maskcara Beauty products seem to be popular, so you have that going for you.
It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful network marketing business… But there are better ways to build a business other than with network marketing or affiliate marketing.
Because unlike network marketing, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.
Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!
Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.
Where Maskcara Beauty falls short in helping you make money online is in scalability.
There’s only so much time in a day and there’s only so many people you can reach to sell by yourself.
MLM companies know this! Which is why they push so hard for you to recruit for your downline…you can’t get rich with it as a one man/woman show.
But what if you could make even more money off of little local websites without having to spend hundreds of dollars on overpriced products and a bunch of time recruiting people to sell under you?
With this digital real estate program, you can make recurring monthly income without constant sales to your friends and constant recruitment!
Sound too good to be true?
Of course it does!
But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!
All you have to do is build and rank a LOCAL website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!
This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.
How do you get paid and how much?
Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.
A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.
Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!
That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!
See why they call it digital real estate now? That’s a rent payment.
The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to worry about:
But as it is with Maskcara Beauty… You only get what’s left of the pie if you meet a monthly quota…
The course we recommend actually allows you to collect HUGE FLAT RATE DEALS. Truly passive income!
The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.
You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.
Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the Maskcara Beauty group in our opinion. This group is much more active.
Unlike Maskcara Beauty, where you’re getting maybe $10 per sale, you could be getting 10-20X THAT.
A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding digital real estate.
Unlike Maskcara Beauty, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.
Digital real estate allows you to have total passive income with most of your day being spent WITH your friends, NOT selling to them.
Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…
