But How Did He Make His Money?

The one thing that’s well-known about ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWs) – the folks worth at least $30 million USD – is that virtually ALL of them have some part of their fortune in real estate.

Many of the more famous rich people and “celebrity entrepreneurs” actually got their start in real estate. And that’s great for them! Not so much for us…

See, more millionaires are created during recessions than any other part of the economic cycle. Which is cool, except the last real recession was 2008, when real estate prices were in the tank and you could buy a whole neighborhood with $100,000.

Now, though, real estate prices are through the roof, and interest rates are skyrocketing too. So how does the everyday person start building a massive net worth in an economy like this one?

Have you considered Digital Real Estate?

The internet’s been around for decades, but the possibility of actually owning high-value pieces of property ON the internet is fairly new.

In other words, it’s a wide-open playing field…but it won’t stay that way forever.

Here’s a quick summary of how Digital Real Estate works:

You invest a little money (maybe around $100) to either purchase or build a piece of “land” on the internet.

You specifically place this “land” in a high-traffic area, where lots of people pass through (just like traditional real estate, it’s all about Location, Location, Location).

The folks who pass through your “land” all happen to be looking for a specific product or service, so you “rent” your land to a business owner who happens to offer that product or service.

The business owner pays you $500 to $2,000 a month to “rent” your Digital Real Estate, because it helps them connect with their ideal customers.

Think of it like buying a strip mall, or an office space, just on the internet, for WAAAAYYY less money and headache.

It’s estimated that the net worth of American actor and producer Mark Hamill is over $18 million. Even though Mark Hamill is best known as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars movies, he has built an amazing acting career, mostly through stage productions and voice-over roles.

early Life

On September 25, 1951, Mark Richard Hamill was born in Oakland, California. He was raised by his mother and father, a US Navy Captain, in a Roman Catholic household with six other children. The family was frequently on the move due to his father’s job. Mark Hamill went to school in three different states: Virginia, California, and even Japan for a while. He later graduated from high school in Japan and went on to study acting at Los Angeles City College.

On television, Mark Hamill got his start. As a young actor, he has a recurring part in the soap series General Hospital. After just four episodes of the sitcom The Texas Wheelers, he was cast as the show’s protagonist. The Bill Cosby Show, The Partridge Family, and One Day at a Time are just a few television shows where he has appeared as a guest star. Before his role in the Star Wars trilogy, Hamill acted in various television films.

Mark Hamill appeared in the TV series Eight is Enough, but he was able to break free of his contract and join the cast of the science fiction picture Star Wars films. Despite the fact that no one could have predicted the film series’ success, Mark Hamill was committed to the project from the start. It was 1977 when the first film was released, and Hamill became an instant sensation.

Because he didn’t think the movie would do well, director George Lucas took a vacation to Hawaii to celebrate its premiere. In his hotel room, he watched the news and realized that he had become a very wealthy man after the huge crowds gathered to see his movie. When Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted in 1977, it was evident that it would be a long-lasting phenomenon.

Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi saw Mark Hamill’s career take off. The original film was retitled and re-released in theaters as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. More than $1.8 billion was made by the original trilogy as a whole. Mark Hamill received the Saturn Award for Best Actor in both sequels. Mark Hamill was injured in a car accident while filming for the first film, requiring surgery on his fractured nose.

Hamill did return to the Star Wars universe in 2014 when he played Darth Bane in the animated series The Clone Wars, despite not being involved with the prequel films (Episodes I, II, and III). A Daytime Emmy Award was bestowed to him for his voice acting talents.

He returned to Star Wars in 2015 after Disney acquired the rights to the film series. Despite appearing briefly in The Force Awakens, Mark Hamill’s arc in The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker was far more substantial. Despite his involvement in the films, actor Mark Hamill expressed his displeasure with Disney’s handling of the Star Wars franchise’s development. Even though he didn’t openly condemn the movie, his actual feelings were evident in many interviews.

Mark Hamill made $650,000 in 1977’s “A New Hope,” according to his Star Wars salary and earnings. That’s around $2.5 million in today’s dollars. For their work, Mark, along with his co-stars, received a 1% cut of all film revenues, which amounted to millions of dollars when the film grossed more than $700 million on an $11 million budget.

When Mark returned to the Star Wars franchise decades later, he earned millions. Mark got $3 million for his brief appearances at the end of 2015’s “The Force Awakens.” That’s a record-breaking salary for an actor based on real screen time.

Luke Skywalker Syndrome: Mark Hamill’s biggest challenge after Star Wars was that too many people mistook him for Luke Skywalker. Mark Hamill believed and was aware of this threat and strove to “break the mold” with cameos in movies like Corvette Summer, The Big Red One, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia, and Britannia Hospital.

On the other hand, Hamill found a truly “blank slate” in the theater industry. It wasn’t until the 1980s that he had established himself as one of Broadway’s best-known actors. The Elephant Man, Harrigan ‘N Art, Room Service, The Nerd, and Amadeus were among his stage credits. The film adaptation of Amadeus had Hamill audition for the lead part, intending to replicate his performance in the play. This picture would not have Luke Skywalker in it, a studio executive reportedly told the director, leading to Hamill losing the character.

Hamill returned to cinema and television in a variety of roles throughout this time of his career. The Village of the Damned; Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back; Airborne, Sushi Girl; Kingsman: The Secret Service; and Con Man are just a few of the films he has appeared in. His other television appearances include Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Flash and Saturday Night Live.

Mark Hamill is most known as the voice of the Joker in the DC Comics universe, in addition to his work as Luke Skywalker. In 1992, he made his debut as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. Batman Beyond, Justice League, Sega’s The Adventures of Batman and Robin, Sega’s The Arkham Asylum/Arkham City/Batman: Arkham City, and many other animated shows and video games resulted from this success.

He’s done voice work on various projects, including the animated Spider-Man series, Totally Spies, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Darksiders, and more. As a voice actor, Mark Hamill has gained a reputation for portraying villains.
