Kyani MLM Review (Updated 2023): Scam Or Legit

Kyani is a network marketing company based in Idaho that produces and sells nutrition and health supplements through independent distributors.

Kyani was founded in 2005 by three Americans Kirk Hansen, Carl Taylor, and Dick Powell. Michael Breshears serves as the chairman of the MLM company.

DISCLAIMER:

This Kyani review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

Kyani Reviews: Why We Don't Recommend Multi-Level Marketing

It’s another one of those MLM (aka Network Marketing, aka Pyramid Scheme) Programs whose main purpose is to sign you up, buy a product kit, then get you to sign up your friends, family, and co-workers to do the same thing.

In my opinion, it’s promoted by quite a few high level MLM members who only get paid mostly from signing people into the program.

It’s supposed to show you how to become a successful “Network Marketer” but, from what I can tell, most members barely make any money promoting their knives.

As I see it…you won’t get rich off a 50% commission from overpriced products that you can get for half the price at you local department store.

If you want to build wealth online, (at an average of $1,500 per sale PER MONTH), check out our #1 recommendation here.

Now, I want to be completely honest in this review, so…

Kyani does come with some very helpful information to make money online and land some decent commission checks…

But it’s training and business model are outdated.

At the end, I’ll answer some of the most frequently asked questions regarding Kyani and network marketing in general.

And most importantly, I’ll show you the exact system I used to build my own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.

This system made me swear off Network Marketing for good, because it uses some of the same skills but in a much more powerful and profitable way!

But more on that later.

For now let’s hop into all things Kyani!

Kyani History: The Story Of How The MLM Company Was Born

kyani reviews

It all began nearly 13 years ago in Alaska, where Idaho multi-millionaires Dick and Gale Powell were on vacation. You may not recognize Dick and Gale's names, but you've probably heard of their company, Mrs. Powell's Cinnamon Rolls, which is located in a number of malls across the country.

As fate would have it, the Powells met “Dr. Maureen McKenzie,” a biochemist/physiologist who had spent more than ten years in Alaska conducting extensive research on Eskimos and the food they ate at the time.

Dr. McKenzie wanted to figure out why the Eskimos are so healthy and why, unlike most people, a large percentage of them never get sick. She became interested in these superfoods after learning that Eskimo diets consist primarily of wild Alaskan sockeye salmon and wild blueberries. As a result, what she discovered was remarkable.

The Alaskan Blueberries were not only much heartier, but they also turned out to be 48 times more antioxidant-rich than domestically grown blueberries. This was due to Alaska's extreme weather conditions, which include long sunny days and temperatures that range from extreme cold to extreme warmth.

The Powells returned to Idaho Falls after Dr. McKenzie shared his incredible knowledge with them. They shared it with their neighbors, the Taylors and the Hansens, who was ecstatic to learn that certain foods could help with health and wellness.

The Hansen family already owned “Conrad & Bischoff,” one of the largest oil distribution companies in the United States. The Taylors also owned a large company known as "Taylor Farms." It is only second to one of the country's largest beef and potato producers.

Despite the fact that all three families had established successful businesses of their own, they couldn't pass up the chance to distribute nutritional products with such important health benefits to others while also providing people with a business opportunity. As a result, the health supplements company was founded in 2005, and the name "Kyani" was chosen after learning that it means "strong medicine" in native Alaskan, adding to the list of network marketing companies.

Furthermore, because the Taylors and Hanson's combined sales and income totaled more than one billion dollars, they were able to invest a significant sum into the MLM company, making Kyani one of the most financially stable startups in history.

Today, the MLM company has its own Kyani science advisory board, which consists of prestigious doctors and scientists who collaborate on research and development to help perfect the Kyani line of products and develop new dietary supplements.

Furthermore, the board publishes white pages on the Kyani website that reveal their research findings, as well as papers published by third-party independent researchers. The Powells' promise to globalize their products so that everyone can benefit from its health benefits is being fulfilled one step at a time, with Kyani products now available in over 60 countries.

Tragedy

Tragedy

On November 30, 2019, the MLM company suffered a tragedy when nine members of the Hansen family, including Kirk and Jim Hansen Jr., died in a plane crash in South Dakota.

Travis Garza, the man who became president of Kyani four months before the plane crash said during an interview that Jim and Kirk Hansen would want Kyani to move forward despite the tragedy that claimed their lives and seven others. The new president started working for the MLM company in August 2019, after the Hansens and Carl Taylor realized Kirk needed some help.

“We talked about how we should be prepared for any disaster or crisis. “Building the best team we could that would go on indefinitely was part of that strategy,” Taylor says. “I'm not sure if it was luck or coincidence, but we brought Travis on board to assist Kirk.”

What Are The Kyani Products?

Kyani's products include a mix of vitamins and superfoods. Because Kyani's products are mostly made from herbal extracts and all-natural ingredients, the MLM company claims to offer better health through a largely holistic approach.

What is Kyäni Triangle Of Health?

kyani scam

The Kyäni Triangle of Health is a unique wellness system powered by Nitro Nutrition. Nitro contains Noni extract, which aids in the production of Nitric Oxide that is necessary for us to absorb the nutrients in Kyäni Sunrise and Kyäni Sunset. These three essential Kyani products work together to deliver unrivaled nutrition that is beneficial to our immune system, claims the company.

Kyani Sunrise

Kyani Sunrise must be consumed first thing in the morning, as the name suggests.

Kyani Sunrise is an antioxidant-packed juice that comes in a large glass container or a single-serve pouch. The antioxidant-rich ingredients in this juice are well-known: blueberries, red raspberries, pomegranate, amla berry, broccoli powder, spinach powder, and wolfberries, to name a few.

Kyani Sunset

Kyani Sunset should be consumed at night when the body's lipid processes are at their peak. This is most likely the reason for the product's name, Kyani Sunset.

Tocotrienols, Omega-3, Beta Carotene, and Vitamin D are ingredients present in Kyani Sunset. They all help to maintain the health of the body's cells, as well as the cardiovascular and immune systems.

This Kyani product is designed to deliver these nutrients to your body before you go to sleep, allowing them to be absorbed and work their magic while you sleep.

These products are unique in that they are designed to increase the body's nitric oxide production. Many people aren't aw

What Kyani product uses Grape Juice As A Natural Sweetener?

Kyani Sunrise uses this as a natural sweetener, together with fructose.

Kyani Review: Does Kyani Help With Anxiety?

In an April 2016 published report, TINA.org stated that it discovered over 100 examples of unsubstantiated health claims and over 100 examples of improper income claims made directly by Kyäni's company, distributors, doctors, and scientists.

Anxiety, cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia, autism, insomnia, lupus, MS, PTSD, ADD, and ADHD are just a few of the health issues being cured by their products in their unsubstantiated health claims.

TINA claims, however, that the company lacks competent scientific evidence to back up its disease-treatment claims, as required by FTC law. None of the six white papers cited on Kyani’s website and written by the members of Kyani’s Scientific Advisory Board members meets the standard of reliable evidence required to prove the company’s claims.

Furthermore, Dr. Abbas Qutab, the chairman of the three-member board, admitted on Facebook that Kyani "hasn't published in peer review journals." Qutab made the remark in response to criticism of his original post, which labeled prescription drugs as "one of the leading causes of death in the United States." “Doctors can choose safer and natural products and approaches,” the original post concluded.

The Kyani Science webpage, which hosted the six white papers and biographies of the Scientific Advisory Board members, is now under construction. And in recent news, Qutab appears to have stepped down as the chairman of Kyani's Scientific Advisory Board. His bio is no longer listed alongside the bios of other board members on Kyani's website, which has removed Qutab's name.

Kyani Review: Are Kyani Products Approved By The FDA?

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration of the United States) does not evaluate nutritional or dietary supplements, and it does not issue formal opinions on their contents or label claims.

Because Kyani products and ingredients are nutritional and dietary supplements, the FDA does not evaluate them for formal approval.

Kyani Reviews: Is Kyani A Pyramid Scheme?

In the traditional sense, Kyani is not one. In their marketing plan, distributors or business partners can actually make money just by selling Kyani products and earning commissions.

However, for MLM companies, a better question would be, “Is Kyani a pyramid scheme in disguise"?

What is a pyramid scheme?

It is a deceptive investment strategy that promises consumers or investors business opportunities with large profits based primarily on recruiting others to join their program, not based on profits from any real investment or real sale of goods to the general public, according to the Federal Trade Commission.

There are no products or services offered by outright pyramid schemes.

The majority of MLMs do offer legitimate products or services. Some of them, on the other hand, "hide behind" their products. This is because recruiting distributors into the company is sometimes the only way for members to make good money.

It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful MLM business. But you certainly have better options than another MLM company

My #1 pick proves this.

And unlike Kyani, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.

Kyani Compensation Reviews: How Do I Make Money As A Distributor In the Kyani Compensation Plan?

Ranking System

When you join Kyani as a distributor, you can work your way up a 15-level ranking system, increasing your earnings in the process. Keep in mind that you must maintain at least 150 personal customers QV to maintain your rank, and if you want to move up in rank, you must increase your total group volume by recruiting others and/or selling products.

Genealogy Trees

A genealogy tree is a way to keep track of the relationships between all of Kyäni's Independent Partners. The Sponsor Tree and the Placement Tree are two genealogy trees in the Kyäni Compensation Plan. A new Business Partner appears in both trees when they join Kyäni.

The Sponsor Tree

The Sponsor Tree works in the same way that a family relationship tracker does. On your first level, everyone you personally enroll is positioned directly beneath you.

When you personally enroll team members and they, in turn, enroll a new Independent Partner, the new Partners are placed on your second level beneath your team members.

Bonuses calculated with the Sponsor Tree:

  • Team Bonuses
  • Generation Check Match

Placement Tree

Unlike the Sponsor Tree, you have complete control over where you place your personally sponsored Partners in your downline. Leaders may place newly enrolled Partners in various positions on the Placement Tree for a variety of reasons.

Examples of these are:

A) team building synergy;

B) geographical considerations;

C) personal relationship considerations; or

D) advancing to the next rank.

The placement of new Partners in your Placement Tree is critical, as it aids in the development of a larger, more profitable organization.

When you personally enroll a new team member at Kyani multi-level marketing company, you have the option of placing them in the Placement Tree right away or placing them in the Holding Tank for up to 72 hours to decide where they should go. If you don't place them within the time limit, the system will put them in the first level of your Placement Tree.

Elements that are calculated using the Placement Tree:

  • Rank
  • Fast Start Bonuses
  • Rank Bonuses
  • Kyäni Monthly PayGate Accumulator

Can You Really Make Money as a Kyani Distributor?

There's a lot that comes along with Network Marketing that many people struggle with. In fact, check out our Top 5 Reason Why Most Network Marketers Fail.

Now, don't get me wrong...

You can certainly make money with Multi Level Marketing, but if you're gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become a distributor (which, trust me, isn't easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.

The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month teaches some of the same network marketing skills but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.

What Are The Requirements To Become A Kyani Distributor?

To become an independent distributor, you must enroll online on their website using a current Kyani distributor's sponsorship ID number.

You must purchase a Distributor Pack which includes business training materials and forms.

You must also choose a business builder pack, which ranges in price from $89 to $1,999 (keep in mind that the more expensive packages have higher commission percentages).

A $20 annual renewal fee is also required.

Kyani Reviews: Pros and Cons Of Joining Kyani

The Pros

  • No need for a business license to work as a distributor with Kyani.
  • You can be eligible to get your dream car paid for by Kyani with their bonus dream car program.
  • Depending on your goal, you do not have to quit your day job when you become a Kyani distributor. You have complete control over how many hours and days per week you work.

The Cons

  • A lot of complaints concerning their MLM business model
  • To be a distributor of Kyani products, you must pay a start-up fee and then an annual fee.
  • To keep your rank in the system, you must meet certain requirements each month.
  • The retail price of products is steep which makes it difficult to make product sales.

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Leasing

Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!

Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.

Yup, Digital Leasing!

Where Kyäni falls short is in scalability.

There’s only so much time in a day and there’s only so many people you can reach to sell by yourself.

MLM companies know this!

Which is why they push so hard for you to recruit for your downline…you can’t get rich with it as a one man/woman show.

But what if you could make even more money off of little local websites without having to spend hundreds of dollars on overpriced products and a bunch of time recruiting people to sell under you?

With this Digital Leasing program, you can make recurring monthly income without constant sales to your friends and constant recruitment!

Sound too good to be true?

Of course it does!

But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!

All you have to do is build and rank a LOCAL website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!

This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.

How do you get paid and how much?

Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.

A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.

Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!

That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!

See why they call it Digital Leasing now? That’s a rent payment.

The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to worry about:

  • Your upline getting paid before you
  • Begging your friends and family to buy from you
  • Recruiting people all the time

But as it is with Kyäni… You only get what’s left of the pie if you meet a monthly quota…

The course we recommend actually allows you to collect HUGE FLAT RATE DEALS. Truly passive income!

The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.

You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.

Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the Kyäni group in our opinion. This group is much more active.

Unlike Kyäni, where you’re getting maybe $10 per sale, you could be getting 10-20X THAT.

TESTIMONIAL - Scott Lead Gen

A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding Digital Leasing.

Unlike Kyäni, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.

Digital Leasing allows you to have total passive income with most of your day being spent WITH your friends, NOT selling to them.

Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…

So, check this out to learn more.
