This Jordan Belfort Sales Training review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available online to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

Straight Line Persuasion System is a sales training course that promises to show you how to earn a 6-figure income by being a “closer”.
In other words, taking sales calls for high-ticket coaching programs.
Honestly, it’s not a bad premise…
If you’re looking to trade in one job for another, with even less security.
Ok, all snark aside, sales isn’t a bad industry. Salespeople are always in demand, and – if everything is aligned – you can earn a good to great income.
Unfortunately, that relies on everything actually working properly. And in 99/100 organizations, that’s just not the case.
The biggest problem with being a “closer” is that – no matter how much money you make – you’re entirely at someone else’s mercy. If it’s not your program or your business, then your income can always be taken away.
The second biggest problem is lead flow/quality. The average no-show rate for most coaching programs is 50-70%. That means if you get 8 calls on your calendar per day, 4-5 of them won’t even show up. In other words, half your day (and half your potential income) is wasted.
The third problem is the actual commission rate. Now, this isn’t actually a problem, except that most of these training programs tell you you can land a $1,000+ commission check every day.

As what was shown in the movie, Jordan is the controversial founder of Stratton Oakmont who was jailed for 2 years for violating securities laws. It was while he was in prison that he wrote the book Wolf of Wall Street.

He was eventually laid off during the Black Monday stock market crash in 1987.

Module 1: The Tenets of Straight Line Persuasion
In this module, you will learn about the main principles behind the Straight Line Persuasion System. Persuasion is the act of helping people take action by getting rid of things that hinder them internally.
According to Belfort, the main point in selling is to be in control of the interaction between you and the client. Hence, he called it Straight Line Persuasion. The strategy is leading the prospective client straight to the sale.
The three tenets of the Straight Line Persuasion System identified here are to:

When asking questions, you will learn to ask permission first, especially because you are going to ask about financial matters. Because this is a very sensitive matter, use a non-threatening, empathetic, and matter-of-fact tone.

My Final Verdict
The Straight Line Persuasion System of Jordan Belfort is not really new. Others even claim that it’s not originally his and it’s already outdated.
Wouldn’t you rather pay for a current training program that is constantly adapting to the volatile market? Besides, who still calls people over the phone to make a sale?
Belfort remains to be a controversial celebrity. To date, he has only paid $10M out of the $110M he was ordered by the court to pay his clients that he had scammed almost 2 decades ago!
Even if the current rates of Straight Line Persuasion system courses are now lower than before, I do not recommend his program. The advantages of honing your sales skills do not outweigh the disadvantages.
Unless, of course, you have money to burn and time to spare…
