Hmmm if we were to guess, you probably found our page because an It Works distributor just hit up about an amazing sounding "business opportunity".

Hey we don't blame ya for looking into it, after all, who wouldn't want to work on their own schedule from anywhere in the world?

We also know that you probably have some questions about it since it sounds too good to be true. From what you've seen so far you're probably wondering if it's a scam or pyramid scheme like everyone else has been saying.

So you still want to join It Works?

In this thorough review we hope to answer "Is It Works a pyramid scheme" for you once and for all!

We dive deep into all the details of it works and determine whether or not It Works Global is the best mlm company or just some pyramid scheme in disguise!

We'll talk about whether starting an MLM business is the right online business for you.

At the end, I'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions regarding It Works and the MLM model in general.

And most important, I'll show you the exact system I used to build my own internet marketing business to over $50,000 a month in mostly passive income.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

It Works! Company Overview

it works

It Works Global is an mlm company that operates out of Palmetto Florida that offers skin care and other health products with the goal of making your body not only look better, but feel better too!

So other than hopes and dreams...what do they sell?

The product they are most known for is the "Crazy Wrap Thing".

Whether or not a body wrap like theirs works as promised is still in question, however since then, It Works have expanded their product line.

On top of the body wrap, It Works Global offer skin care products, supplements, and many other branded accessories.

Perhaps this just goes to show how successful the company is.

It Works has such a good social media campaign that now people are buying random products with the It Works branding instead of their actual products.

They also have an It Works Give Back Foundation. This is a charity started and ran by It Works that focuses on humanitarian issues like cancer research and homeless outreach.

A cynic might think that an mlm contributing to charity is just a publicity stunt with marketing...

And even if it might be true...you have to respect the fact they are actually putting money towards causes that actually benefit others instead of the rich execs of the corporate world

Who Owns It Works! And When Did They Start?

mark pentecost

Mark Pentecost (CEO) and his wife Cindy founded the company all the way back in 2001. The first product they sold, which is still their flagship today, is the Ultimate Body Applicator...or "Crazy Wrap".

At first, Mark Pentecost actually started off as school teacher in Michigan.

Before starting It Works, he worked for a few other direct-sales companies. After putting in some tough work for those guys...he became motivated to work for himself!

It took some time and a lot of thinking and research, but eventually Mark settled on the body wrap idea. Cindy was helpful because she supported it and was even willing to try it out!

It couldn't have worked out better for the two, after Cindy Pentecost had seen her results, she immediately called to let her friend know!

It was at that moment Mark and Cindy Pentecost knew they had one of the most perfect products for direct selling!

Just 4 years later in 2005 they added supplements to their product line and in 2010, they start going international!

Soon after that in 2011, they moved to Florida. Can ya blame them? Michigan winters suck!

Throughout the years Mark and Cindy started getting involved in real estate and buying properties all over. He's even bought a 7 million dollar ranch and 14 million dollar private island!

Do It Works! Product Actually Work?

it works pyramid scheme

This is probably something you'd want to figure out before you just start buying and selling It Works products all willy nilly.

We've taken the time to go through a handful of their products and we can definitely say that some live up to the hype and some don't.

Let's start with that body wrap

It Works Body Wrap Results

join it works

Their body wrap product, which is their flagship, definitely appears to give results...however looks can often be deceiving.

Medically speaking...you can't truly lose a lot of weight simply because of a plastic wrap more or less.

Sure, if you apply some cream and where it for an hour, you might lose some water weight and improve visual cellulite...but this is more of a short term detox if anything.

If you look else where you will see lot's of pictures...usually promoted by the It Works brand, of really solid looking results.

However, we simply just have to look at the scientific evidence.

To lose weight and keep weight off, you have to eat less and eat healthier.

That being said, if you add in healthier eating habits and apply the cream and body wrap...you will find the results you're looking for.

The point we want to drive home is this...

The body wrap is merely a placebo and will only have minimal results by itself unless you have other aspects of your diet completely dialed in.

Does It Works Actually Make You Money?

it works mlm

Why would you even join in an opportunity like this if you couldn't make any money with it, or very minimal at that.

Here in the next few paragraphs we're going to talk about how you can make money as it works distributors and if it is even worth your time.

It Works Compensation Plan: Can It Works! Make You Money?

it works distributor

If you're interested, It Works has an official 22 page document going over all the nitty gritty payment details if you want to check it out.

But let's be real, nobody has time for that!

We're just gonna go ahead and summarize the most important parts for ya

The most important thing you should know is that even if you sell a few products...you aren't guaranteed a commission.

let me say that one more time a little louder for the people in the back

YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED A COMMISSION EVEN IF YOU SELL A FEW PRODUCTS!

Yeah, that sounds like a dick policy, and if you're gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become an MLM IBO (which, trust me, isn't easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.

The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $50,000+ per month teaches some of the MLM skills, but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.

The only way you can get paid for selling It Works Products is by hitting a "commission qualified" goal.

Unfortunately there are only 3 ways for you to qualify for this.

Option 1: You Must Sell Or Buy At Least 150 PBV (Personal Bonus Volume)

Each product has a point value assigned to it, usually based off money.

Generally speaking, you'll find that a point is typically equal to a dollar...so a product that is $40 dollars has 40 points attached to it.

So what happens if you don't meet the 150 point requirement?

You don't get paid as a distributor.

Simple as that.

There is a work around though...

You could buy your own products to hit that commission mark.

That sucks though and here's why.

Let's say you hit $90 of sold product for the month...

You could buy $60 worth of product to meet the 150 point goal...but in doing so you're losing money.

The commission rate is only 10%

You'd be spending $60 to only get $15 out of it.

So not worth it!

Option 2: Enroll Customers Into An Recurring Monthly Product Order Of $80 PBV

The good news is that this option requires half as much.

The bad news is that their cancellation policy sucks and can really piss off your customer base.

Their cancellation policy can take 3 months and cost $50 to do.

Honestly that really sucks, but hopefully no one cancels and has to blame you for the head ache.

Option 3: Buy Their $100 Business Starter Kit

it works lawsuit

This one is your most short cut way to being commission qualified with It Works, but it only works for the first month.

After that you can only make money with It Works through options 1 or 2.

Bummer.

It is just really difficult to make money with this model.

You have to sell $1000 worth of It works products to just make back your initial $100 investment even start working with It Works.

Definitely not the road to financial freedom.

So how do they propose you climb the ranks and make money?

The It Works Compensation Plan they've created is your stereotypical multi level marketing company plan.

You have to recruit more It Works distributors and present them with the same business opportunity.

The more successful It Works distributors you have, the more bonuses you will have and the higher up the ladder you will be able to climb.

In fact, when you start reaching leadership levels of diamond...you'll really start seeing some serious cash.

Not to fill you up with a false sense of hope though...only about 2.5% ever make it to those diamond levels of leadership.

It Works is pretty much your basic mlm company with the same types of policies and financial model in place.

Knowing all of this...do you still want to join It Works?

Let's just walk you through why it's nearly impossible to make any head way with mlm companies.

What Are MLM Companies?

it works

An mlm company or multi level marketing company is a company that makes money based off the sales of others.

And typically those at the top rake in most of the money, while those at the bottom don't.

MLM companies will try to sell people by calling it a great passive income business opportunity...

However, there is a lot of work that needs to take place to get it to that point.

In fact, the only way you can start earning a lot of money is if you have many different people in your upline and downline. In the case of It Works, It Works distributors.

Almost all mlm companies have a minimum pay out rate and it is extremely difficult to get to that point because all they tell you to do is reach out to friends or family.

We're sorry, but selling your friend a crazy wrap is not going to make you rich, and your family members aren't going to want the same auto ship program products each month.

It can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference between mlm companies and pyramid schemes

let's break that down.

What's The Difference Between An MLM And A Pyramid Scheme?

it works results

The main difference between a pyramid scheme and mlm is that pyramid schemes typically can't stand by themselves.

What we mean by this is that a multi level marketing business will usually have a product or service they can sell to keep the company going.

Pyramid schemes depend on having people pay to join and as soon as people stop joining, the company goes belly up.

So what about It Works...where does this company fall?

It Works Pyramid Scheme?

what is it works

By the differences we have laid out above we can say that by definition...

IT WORKS IS NOT A PYRAMID SCHEME!

It Works is not a pyramid scheme because it actually sells products like a starter kit, body wraps, and weight loss products.

In fact, it has ran such a successful social media campaign that now most of its sales aren't even for the flagship product dubbed the "crazy wrap thing".

Pyramid schemes are illegal and we would be the first ones to tell you if it were one, but it isn't.

However, it does have certain qualities that make it seem like a pyramid scheme.

You see, multi level marketing companies pay their distributors based off strictly commission in most cases.

And one person can only make so much based off of their efforts selling cheap products with a low commission rate.

This is where network marketing comes into play. People (distributors) in the company will go out and post on places like social media to try and find more people (distributors) interested in the business model.

What most people don't realize until it's too late is that this business model sucks for people individually.

They have to put in a lot of work and effort to even make note worthy income.

Morale decreases even more when you find out how much the management levels of the mlm business make per month too.

And the business model they teach is DEFINITELY not worth it.

Does that answer your question?

It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful online business.

My #1 pick proves this. And unlike It Works, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.

It Works Reviews By Customers

body wrap

According to the customers and even some of the distributors themselves...they are not a fan of It Works.

In fact on trust pilot you will find that they only have a 2.3/5 stars.

Ouch!

To make matters worse, it's not just a few people that feel this way.

Trust Pilot has 527 different reviews and 63% of them are 1 star reviews!

Many people are complaining about all the pyramid schemes and pyramid scheme characteristics of It Works.

Some reviews are also dissing heavy on the products themselves like body wraps.

Suffice to say that many different people are not happy with the products It works offers or the experience as a distributor.

Do We Recommend It Works?

it works reviews

At this time, we cannot recommend the products It works offers joining It Works as a distributor.

The reviews for all the current it works product line are not high enough to earn a recommendation from our scam risk team.

What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

it works scam

Tired of all the network marketing and mlm opportunities you get told to join every month?

Are you tired of having to constantly sell products at your home office every month without making a great commission?

This might be for you then.

Our team at scam risk has come across a model for online business that is now our leading recommendation for those who are trying to earn a consistent income per month online.

Digital Real Estate

digital real estate blog

Digital real estate or "local lead generation" as it's sometimes referred to as is the process of building out a website in a local area for a service based industry, ranking it, and selling the leads off to a business owner in town.

How Do You Make Money With It?

Simple

When you build a website that ranks at the top of google, you're going to get the lions share of the traffic.

Now translate that traffic over to any service industry.

All those calls that come in are called "leads" and leads have a monetary value associated with them.

In fact, that's what home advisors model is completely based on and its worth millions!!

So let's give an example.

The average tree service job is worth anywhere from $500-$2,000. It is not uncommon for most leads to be worth 10-20% of the final ticket.

Other contractors will often pay "finders fees" for these leads, so paying for work that comes from another source they don't own is not uncommon.

Back to tree service.

If you put up one of the sites and rank it to the top of your marketplace, you will get several calls that come in each month and for simple math...let's just say 10.

This means that you have a digital asset that generates $5,000-$20,000 of revenue each month!

You have products every month generated without having to lift a finger.

And if we do some worst case scenario math based off of $500 jobs and a 10% commission...you're still looking at an asset that brings you $500 a month. That's a rent payment!

Now imagine this at scale...

If you have 10 of these sites built, then you are looking at a passive income of $5,000 a month!

Now why passive income?

Once you have built and ranked these websites...the maintenance is extremely low, you don't need to check in on it every day like you would for an mlm company that you need to make sales daily for.

Total control and complete leverage.

Sounds Great... But Where Do I Start?

Scam risk pic

Our team at Scam Risk has scoured the web browser and social media high and low for a program that teaches you this exact online business.

This program will teach you:

  • How to build a site
  • website fee: you only have to pay about $8 to host your site each month on the platform of your choosing
  • How to rank a site
  • And how to scale full time.

On top of that, you will have live calls twice a week where you can get any and all questions answered throughout your journey.

You also get access to a Facebook group that is active 24/7! This group is one of the most active groups we have come across in this space. Other course programs just can't compare with this level of support.

Many people who have joined this course have scaled incomes upwards of $40k per month!

Sound like a scam?

It's not!

From all the testimonials we've seen as well as a review pass in the course...we can tell you with 100% certainty that it's legit.

It has even earned our Scam Risk seal of approval for 2024.
