Aaron Chen tries to position his Invincible Marketer course as if he's "not like all the other gurus"...

...but is it true?

The answer is probably not.

Aaron seems like a mostly genuine guy, but at the end of the day there's only so many ways you can spin affiliate marketing. It's a limited range of outcomes, and other than niches like affiliate marketing on Instagram, there aren't a ton of ways to make it stand out.

That said, there are ways to make money within it - clearly Aaron has found a way to hit it big with affiliate marketing.

However, some people are great at doing, but miss the mark when it comes to teaching. And even if affiliate marketing was a great opportunity in 2009 (back when Aaron Chen got his start), it's become a LOT more saturated since then.

Every affiliate marketer learning from the Invincible Marketer program will become your competition.

While it does seem like Aaron is a solid communicator for a guy who isn't a native English speaker, I recommend a higher-upside, recession-proof industry like Digital Leasing.

You'll be helping businesses more actively gain leads, and see way bigger paycheck than you can ever dream of with affiliate marketing.

The students seem extremely passionate about what they're doing - not just getting by, but creating their own future.

Who Benefits From Invincible Marketer...And Who Doesn't?

There are a ton of affiliate marketing gurus out there, so what's the best way to figure out who will work best for you?

Invincible Marketer might be for you if...

• You're a total beginner to affiliate marketing and want someone who puts out a ton of content
• You don't mind waiting a long time (maybe months) before seeing any payment
• You've done well with other affiliate marketing programs in the past (like Affiliate Marketing Mastery)

But Invincible Marketer probably isn't for you if...

• You're wanting to see any kind of income within weeks
• You're concerned by the lack of BBB and Trustpilot profiles for this program
• You're looking for something with a very high-upside for making money online

Invincible Marketer At A 1,000 FT View

Invincible Marketer is a program designed by Aaron Chen with the goal of helping its students take over the affiliate marketing industry.

Affiliate marketing is basically just pasting links from businesses around social media, and it often takes months to see any income from it.

Invincible Marketer focuses on lessons about sales funnels, driving traffic, and even gets into mindset training. While the first two are super important when it comes to affiliate marketing, the third is a nice bonus.

Aaron Chen claims you can be a total rookie when it comes to affiliate marketing and still succeed with his program - and frankly, that's probably true. If you can copy and paste a link all over the internet, then you can probably be an affiliate marketer, too.

The question would fall more under: do you really want to?

Marketing is a very broad umbrella. Affiliate marketing is just one of many kinds of marketing out there, and it happens to be one of the more repetitive, low-income options. Lead generation, on the other hand, is much more engaging and offers all kinds of upside.

You've also got to make sure you land the right expert to lead you.

And it doesn't matter if you pick an upside industry or a boring industry if you end up with the wrong mentor...

While Aaron Chen certainly has some nice things about him, there are some red flags that would have me looking elsewhere.

Who Is Aaron Chen?

Aaron Chen is an affiliate marketing guru from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He's mostly known these days from the content he puts out on YouTube.

Beyond promoting his own Invincible Marketer product (as well as Video Authority Mastery, his other course), he makes videos about all kinds of topics that may be linked to an affiliate marketing program. This means you'll see him talk about Clickbank, cryptocurrency, and virtually any form of making money online.

He now runs his own affiliate marketing course on YouTube. He also has a YouTube channel where he analyzes digital marketing products on topics like how to make money online, cryptocurrency and basically anything else that has an affiliate program.

Sometimes he keeps it vague with a title like "top ways to make laptop money!"...but he always ends up pointing you back toward his courses, and affiliate marketing. Some of the more useful videos are about mindset and marketing strategies.

He claims to have spent over $100,000 on "scammy" affiliate marketing training programs before deciding to make a program of his own...which is a little weird.

It seems like a waste of six-figures to spend all that money on a bad investment, which makes me question his judgement as a guru.

This is a common thread throughout Aaron Chen's self-promotion - that he's not like the other gurus. While that may be true, when someone has to keep telling you they're not a bad guy, it can become suspicious.

That said, he does post a lot of success-stories from his students on his own website, so there could be some truth behind his claims.

I really do wish we had more Aaron Chen reviews on reliable sites like BBB and Trustpilot, or even Reddit. The closest thing I could find was on Quora, where a user claims that Invincible Marketer is not suitable for beginners because of the length of training and how easy it is to get lost in it all.

How Much Does Invincible Marketer Cost?

The course has recently seen a price hike from $49/month to $67/month, which isn't surprising given the effects of inflation lately. That comes to a new total of $804 per year, a fair price if you actually do learn some things from Invincible Marketer.

Sometimes these programs are advertised as "monthly" when they try to lock you in for a year, but if this one is genuinely a month-to-month deal, then I like it. It means you can back out at low-cost if you're not seeing results.

However, cancelling your membership will also boot you from the Facebook community, which Aaron claims is one of the most valuable parts of his program - learning tips and tricks from your competition.

Something I really didn't like was when I scrolled down to the fine print and saw this:

It looks like after advertising about his low rate of $67/month all over his website, he sneaks in the truth about some extra costs at the very bottom of the page. It looks like you will need to find an extra $150/month on top of that, which takes you to a much-worse $217/month, and a new yearly total of $2,604.

While I do appreciate that he at least wrote that somewhere on the page, it does concern me that there may be even more hidden fees and costs down the line to increase the costs of Invincible Marketer even further.

Keep in mind that affiliate marketing is already a low-income, high-volume industry...so all these higher costs means your room for making a profit just got even smaller.

UPDATE: I have since learned of Chen's "Platinum Coaching Program", which involves more intimate 1-on-1 time with the guru. If you are offered this upsell, just keep in mind these sort of deals often involve costs of $10,00 or higher.

Invincible Marketer's Refund Policy

I really didn't like what I found when it came to the Invincible Marketer's refund policy.

First of all, 30 days is a tricky period of time for affiliate marketing because it's hard to know if you'll see any ROI (Return On Investment) by then...but that's not the worst part.

As you can see in the highlighted section above, they use some tricky language to avoid providing any refund.

Does it make sense for the 1-on-1 Platinum Coaching Program? A little. But the part that really gets me is that he also includes Invincible Marketer and Video Authority Mastery here when he says "discounted programs".

The thing is, almost all these affiliate marketing programs say something like "this course has a $5,000 value! Get it now for $1,997!"

This allows guys like Aaron Chen to claim that it is either on sale or at a discounted price...when in reality, it's just the ordinary price for the program, and Chen just invented the supposed higher value.

All in all, it's just not the kind of stuff I like to see from someone who is asking me for a ton of money, and to trust them with my bank account. Plastering one price all over the site, and then charging another? Boasting of a 30-day refund policy when ZERO of your programs will ever qualify for it?

I would look elsewhere if I were you.

Is Invincible Marketer Legit Or Not?

As you can see above, affiliate marketing isn't necessarily the hardest thing to get into...but it's also got a low level of reward. Sometimes you have to dare to dream and aim a little higher with your goals, otherwise you'll be stuck looking for the easiest way out with nothing in your bank account.

As for Invincible Marketer, Aaron Chen seemed like a nice enough guy up until the misleading cost/refund policy we discussed. Other than that, he certainly provides a lot of information - including a lot for free on his YouTube page.

...so, is it worth paying more for what might be redundant information?

With over 25k subscribers on his YouTube channel, Aaron hasn't hit the big leagues yet, but he's built something nice for himself. Clearly he knows about affiliate marketing and how to make a buck or two off it.

But I'm still wondering: can he give you any deeper knowledge than he's already provided for free?

It seems like the only reason to go forward with Invincible Marketer is if you'd really like a solid community of other marketers to bounce ideas off, and share stories of success and struggles.

Personally, I recommend you keep looking for other programs - ideally, other industries like lead generation where you can get that high ticket income that gives you the financial freedom you're after.

Digital Leasing provides that freedom, and I just don't think Aaron Chen is at their level yet.

Personal Opinion On Invincible Marketer

It seems obvious at this point that Aaron Chen knows how to run a successful affiliate marketing business...

...but can he teach it?

Let's remember that just because someone can make money for themselves, doesn't mean they know how to effectively teach that information - or be a quality mentor for that matter.

Whether it's social media marketing, affiliate marketing, or lead generation...we've covered a ton of "experts" to figure out what the best programs are made of.

So...how do we find the right affiliate marketing course for you?

• Make sure the course creator has a strong experience
• Ensure there is a solid community so you're not doing it on your own
• Check the guru's character to make sure they mean what they say

Aaron Chen is certainly not the worst guru we've ever encountered.

In fact, here are 3 things I like about his course:

1. Chen has been in the game since 2009
2. Affiliate marketing will always be around
3. Lots of free content

...and, on the other hand, 3 things I don't really like:

1. Affiliate marketing offers low commissions
2. The cost and refund policy of the program feel like a bait and switch
3. You're gonna be waiting a while to get paid

What's Inside Invincible Marketer?

“Selling without really selling” - this is Aaron Chen's definition of affiliate marketing.

This is his main sales pitch for the industry, and he often attracts entrepreneurs by offering free training with catch-lines like "how to quit your job" or "build a 6-figure online business in 3 steps!"

However, trying to access that free training through his website will actually send you to his sales funnel. This is where he'll pitch his programs to you via a monthly membership; the programs operate through Clickfunnels

Aaron tries to make his program sound different from other courses by referring to his modules as "sessions", but for all intents and purposes they are the same thing. His course offers 10 Sessions that are divided into four parts:

• 17 sessions divided into two main focuses: Core Training and Essential Mindset
• Core Training basically tells you how affiliate marketing works
• Essential Mindset has the goal of boosting...well, your mindset
• With purchase, you also gain access to bonus resources and his private Facebook group

Aaron promises that if you follow his instructions, you'll become a powerful affiliate marketer like him one day.

Core Training Topics

Here are some of the subjects you'll run into during Invincible Marketer's core training:

1. How to build and email list
2. How to drive traffic
3. How to work with suppliers, especially if you don’t have your own product
4. How to earn large commissions
5. How to build authority in any given industry
6. How to make money without really selling

Essential Mindset Sessions

I'm not really a big fan of Invincible Marketer's mindset training, if we are being honest.

Aaron Chen seems to have affiliate marketing down pat, but you need a strong mindset to succeed in any business. And frankly, if you're going to spend money learning how to improve your mindset - is a random affiliate marketer really who you think can deliver the best product?

If it were me, I'd look for someone who's made a lot more money than Chen, or someone who has been specializing in mindset-training for many years.

Just to be clear: I respect that Aaron Chen is considering this aspect of business, because it is very important. However, in terms of the Invincible Marker course...I just think he threw this part in to justify the costs.

Affiliate marketing is pretty simple, so this part fluffs it up a little to make it seem like you're getting more bang for your buck.

Support & Community

Support is a critical aspect of any program - really, after the training, it might be the next most important way of evaluating the value of a course. One of the best parts of working with gurus is not being forced to do it alone.

You really could do affiliate marketing without paying for help - there is plenty of free YouTube content out there, after all. So if you're gonna pay the big bucks to learn about it, then you'd better make sure you have a strong support system.

Invincible Marketer's Facebook group seems decent, although it does appear you have to pay large sums of cash to gain more access to Aaron himself.

Bonus Content

Again, I'm more of a straight-shooter - I don't like gimmicks or misdirection, and that's what you're getting when a program offers "bonus content" for their high-ticket courses.

It's not bonus content - it's just normal content that they're labelling differently to create an extra way to make you want to pay for their program.

As for Invincible Marketer - it seems like their bonus content mainly features something called Unlimited Traffic Masterclass, ironically something you only have access to for a limited time.

UTM will teach you how to attract traffic (people clicking on your links) to any offer, product, or website that you're trying to gain commissions for. You'd think this kind of thing would be covered in the main course, considering it's basically what affiliate marketing is all about, but here it is just used again through "bonus content".

According to Aaron Chen. this guide will keep you away from all sorts of errors made by newcomers to the industry, and help you pick all sorts of "amazing products". This likely means he has an idea of which products are most likely to gain clicks, which would be useful information.

The last piece of this bonus content is a blueprint that lays out how you can build a profitable community of your own followers - if I'm reading this right, it sounds like Aaron Chen, a guru, is teaching you how to become a guru in your own right.

If this is true, that would be pretty respectable of him. Most gurus don't like competition and are very happy to keep students returning as students, year after year.

On the other hand, it is very ironic since Invincible Marketer claims that "guru style affiliate marketing is dead!"

Conclusion: Is Invincible Marketer A Buy?

Well, thanks for reading along with me as we explored what Invincible Marketer has to offer, and I suppose it's time for a final verdict:

Should you hand over your money to Aaron Chen?

Probably not.

However, if you think that affiliate marketing is the best way to go - then maybe you should. I just have a really hard time seeing the upside in an industry where you post links on the internet hoping for a couple extra bucks a few months down the line.

Is that something you really see yourself doing for the rest of your life?

And even if it is - do you really need to pay someone to teach you how to post affiliate links with all the free content out there? Especially a guy who seems to have a few contradictions, to say the least.

"Guru style affiliate marketing is dead!"...says the affiliate marketing guru. That kind of misleading marketing (along with his pricing and refund policy) is enough to say that even if you want to settle for a life as an affiliate marketer, you should probably find someone else.

I think helping businesses build leads is the right idea, but it's not the way affiliate marketing does it.

If you want to make a big splash in the marketing industry, then I'm gonna have to point you toward lead generation. You'll have way less restrictions than affiliate marketing, and it won't be nearly as boring or repetitive as posting links around the internet.

So get out there, explore your options.

Personally, I think there is at least one company that stands out in comparison.
