If you want to set up an LLC in the United States, you will need to appoint a registered agent.
The role of the registered agent involves using their address as their official business address, which means they will receive deliveries of important documents on Your behalf.
Although you can legally act as your own agent while operating a compliant business entity, there are other advantages, such as the ability to keep your personal information private.
In addition, having a registered agent eliminates the need to be available at your place of business during business hours, and it also reduces the amount of junk mail you will receive.
In this review, I will talk about InCorp and everything you need to know about their services so you can check for yourself if hiring a registered agent, or if Incorp for that matter, is all worth it.
It might show you how to set everything up and the price point…but it doesn’t really show you what kind of business to set up that is profitable…
This system made me swear off any other business model for good, because it uses some of the same skills in a much more powerful and profitable way!
Let’s dive in!
Founded in 1998, InCorp is the fourth largest national registered agent service provider in the United States with over 125,000 registered subscribers.
With its unique EntityWatch feature, you can use this management system to track status, keep important calendars, save company documents, and more.
On their website, we found the mission statement of InCorp outlining the core values of appreciation, compassion, dedication, family, happiness, honest relationships, love, respect, positivity, prosperity and teamwork.
InCorp has the Entity Management System app for iOS devices which helps you oversee your businesses, pay for your fees, view and share service of process notices, get hold of your saved documents, and a lot more.
Some of the industry’s best rates are offered by InCorp and that’s before their volume discounts!
InCorp has over 125,000 active registered agent clients and only three other competitors in the industry have outnumbered them.
Customer service of InCorp is not outsourced to a huge call center like other registered agent services, but every time you call them, you’ll be speaking to a competent representative located in their Las Vegas office.
Incorp’s extended business hours and bilingual service are all part of their customer support which I find quite impressive.
Customer support representatives operate from available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET every day of the week with customer support in Spanish.
Incorp has a unique “EntityWatch” feature that gives a 24-hour monitoring of your business to protect you from identity theft.
The tool assists you in managing your business, paying for your fees, viewing and sharing of service of process notices, getting hold of your saved business documents, and a lot more.
At $99 per year, you get their Standard package which only includes two services; document preparation and filing of articles of organization and business name availability check.
If you need to add other features, you would need to purchase each one separately, including their registered agent service which is InCorp’s main focus.
This makes their basic formation package quite like an afterthought.
InCorp has mixed customer reviews from the 116 reviews you will find online.
Unlike their competitors, they don’t possess a very solid positive customer feedback.
They don’t really show you what kind of business to start that can have you making more than decent profit margins however.
Yeah, that sounds like a jerk thing to say, but come on, if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become a business owner (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.
The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $50,000+ per month teaches some of the business skills, but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.
InCorp’s LLC formation services is at a standard rate of $99 plus shipping fee at $18, with several additional features available separately.
If you avail in advance their services, they’ll give you good discounts:
Registered Agent Service. The registered agent service is InCorp’s major feature. Your registered agent’s address will be the official business address of your newly formed company.
Also, having a registered agent won’t require you to be at your workplace during business hours, and it significantly minimizes the junk mail you will receive.
InCorp is a popular agent service provider among their clients because of its volume discounts. Typically, majority of the companies would require the services of a registered agent service. Purchasing it as an add-on, therefore, would be a good idea.
LLC Kit and Seal ($69 + $18-24 shipping): You will receive from InCorp an LLC kit and seal which includes a binder that you can use to organize important documents, together with your company’s embossed seal.
Certificates of Good Standing ($63 for 1, $10 for each additional copy): Certificates of good standing are proof that your business is in compliance with the requirement and guidelines of your state of formation. InCorp will prepare and provide them for you.
“Limited Liability Companies For Dummies” Book ($24.99): InCorp will provide you a comprehensive guidebook to help you with the issues that may arise in the LLC formation service process.
Federal Tax ID Number or EIN ($69): The EIN or the tax ID number will be obtained by InCorp from the IRS on your behalf. This EIN authorizes you to file business taxes, hire employees and open your company’s bank account.
Prepare IRS Form SS-4 ($35): The IRS Form SS-4 is the tax form to be filed with your EIN.
Domestic Mail Forwarding ($195/year): Unlike the Registered Agent service, where government-issued documents are received by your registered agent on your behalf and forward them to you, this feature allows InCorp to receive all business mail and forward it to you.
Managed Annual Report Service ($49/year): InCorp will manage your annual reports which includes monitoring your status, keeping track of compliance deadlines, and preparing and filing your report to your state.
License Research Service ($149): All the documents needed for the permits and licenses of a business entity will be facilitated by the agent service provider (InCorp) through this service.
Compared to other registered agent services, InCorp isn’t my top pick, even though they do have competitive rates (low prices) along with the inclusion of a unique monitoring tool, EntityWatch.
Their mediocre customer reviews across the web including Facebook indicate the quality of the business service formation is somewhat subpar to their competitors in the industry.
If you are looking for an affordable registered agent service, InCorp is one agent service provider that could work out for you as they offer volume discounts in their prices.
And their National Registered Agent Services are available across all 50 states, including DC, USVI and PR.
If you file through InCorp, you gain access to their Entity Management System features plus all other additional services – all for free!
Some of the things you can do with the InCorp tool are: track compliance events via their compliance calendar, view and store documents anywhere anytime, monitor forwarded mail, and pay your invoices.
Also, they have friendly and competent representatives who offer bilingual support for those who speak Spanish.
Having just one standard package which includes nothing more than the bare minimum would make any potential customer think twice.
Clearly, the registered agent service is where they excel at which is an add-on feature to their Standard Formation Package.
Customer feedback, too, is not necessarily better compared to other providers.
InCorp only has one LLC formation service package. Everything else you see on their order form, such as the registered agent service, EIN acquisition, annual reports, LLC kits and seals, and more, is an add-on but I wouldn’t really consider them as upsells.
Unlike its competitors, LegalZoom, for example, has a comprehensive range of services that offer upsell options to their clients.
InCorp is best known for its impressive pricing that starts at just $ 99 per year.
You can also get volume discounts by paying in advance for extra years of service.
They have extensive experience and a large list of active registered agent customers. A unique tool to prevent corporate identity theft is also one of InCorp’s unique features which their customers like.
All told, InCorp remains part of my list of favorite registered agency service providers, although customer feedback is a mix of positives and negatives.
InCorp is one of my favorite registered agent service providers. The quality of their registered agent service is not far behind the other leading agent services.
To be more specific, their volume discounts, lower rates, solid track record are all the top reasons why you should consider InCorp as your registered agent.
Still, the service they provide in in forming your business entity is a bit mediocre compared to their competitors. This is on top of the not-so-great- customer reviews.
If you’re asking what my top choice is, it’d be Northwest Registered Agent. But if you would opt for InCorp, it would be understandable.
Does that answer your question?
It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful online business however.
My #1 pick proves this. And unlike incorporate which doesn’t provide business options, actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago from this business model.
It’s really simple actually and doesn’t take a whole lot of work.
The first thing you’re gonna wanna do is build a website for something like a tree service business in town. Nothing crazy, the design doesn’t have to matter too much.
Next you’ll apply some SEO and get that bad boy to rank on page one of Google in just a couple months.
After you’re ranked, calls will start coming in with people asking for a tree service contractor to come take care of their tree issues.
But you’re not a tree service guy or gal, so what do you do?
Call a contractor in town and give him or her the free leads of course!
Any business owner will appreciate you passing off good business to them and definitely open up their minds to what you have to offer.
After you send them some good work that they make more money on, you call them up and say…
“Hey Jim, how are all those tree removal jobs coming” and he says “Great man, hey I appreciate you sending me all the extra business my way, maybe we can work out a deal!”.
“Great” you say, “How does $1000 a month sound?” “Sounds good to me!” says Jim, and bam there you have it, you’re first deal closed!
Now it’s just rinse and repeat.
Is it really that easy though?
In some cases it’s actually easier. Sometimes they feel bad about not paying a referral fee and ask to pay you anyway.
But do you see the big picture here? The more of these you have up, the more money you’ll make. It’s way cheaper to scale compared to real estate as well!
We’re talking $12 a year for a domain name and $8 for hosting.
Imagine having 10 of these sites up for just $1000 a month each? That’s six figure’s of cash flow!
It’s hard to find a high income skill that is easier and more passive than that!
Along with this being our #1 high income skill recommendation we have also found a course we recommend to go along with it.
This course teaches you how to use SEO on locally set up websites to get them ranked at the top of Google and generating calls for the local business you are partnered with.
Our review team has found this course to be extremely well put together and teaches all the skills necessary to really help a small business owner get more work in the door.
What kind of skills will you be learning in this course?
These lead generation skills have led group members to so much income it’s really hard to believe. It is the norm in this training to be able to leave your job and make more money than your 9-5 soul sucking job within just 6 months of following the process.
We love coming across high income skills and courses like this because it means regular people can find ways to work not as hard yet become more valuable with work like this as opposed to their stupid job they hate.
