If you search up ways to make money online, you'll eventually get sucked into the algorithm rabbit hole to guys like Tyson and Iman Gadzhi.

Regardless of how you arrived here, you're clicking through Growth Cave reviews trying to figure out which one actually knows what they're talking about. It makes sense. You see a young dude driving fancy cars and living large from posting ads on Facebook, and you want that life.

It's pretty easy to look at a kid like Lucas Lee Tyson and think "it can't be that hard"...and really, you're not that wrong. But it is important to know the strengths and limitations of social media marketing, and what else can offer you big money online.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

The students seem extremely passionate about what they're doing - not just getting by, but creating their own future.

An SMMA is basically like lead generation, but only focuses on expanding a company's reach through social media ads on YouTube and Facebook. It's not as strong as organic lead generation, but can be done with the right mentor...but is Lucas even the best in his own industry?

Probably not. And apparently his Growth Cave program also has a portion where he isn't even focused on marketing - he's focused on trying to get his students to become gurus for their own courses. This may be distracting from SMMA, which actually has some upside.

Now, whether it's lead generation or the narrowed-down social media marketing approach, the nice thing is that both models will always be around as long as businesses would like to score some more leads on clients.

It's pretty foolproof.

However, if you pick the wrong mentor, it won't matter what industry you're in.

While it's impressive what Lucas Lee Tyson has done at such a young age, you won't be getting the most experienced coach. With that in mind, we recommend you check out our recommendation at the end of the article - he's been around the block and knows what he's talking about.

Without Lucas Lee Tyson, Growth Cave doesn't exist. And while he may not have the experience you're normally after with a guru, he started learning about digital marketing from the age of 15!

Unlike what many other coaches say, Lucas didn't necessarily hate the 9-5 grind - he just didn't know there were other options. But when he discovered the flexibility and upside of digital marketing, he gave it his all.

Soon, he took on an internship and learned about how much money companies were pouring into their digital ad budgets - and he wanted it for himself.

And that's how Growth Cave was born.

He started off with his signature course under the GC umbrella, Productized Profits. But he hasn't stopped there, launching spinoff courses like Knowledge Business Accelerator, Cashflow Consultant Academy, and Digital Freedom System.

Apparently, he wants to be the biggest provider in the digital marketing business within the next few years...but hey, maybe he'll get there. After all, he claims to have started his first marketing agency with only $10 in his bank account and massive credit card debt!

...ironically, that means he wouldn't have been able to afford his own digital marketing training.

Lucas Lee Tyson is often thought of as a "poor man's Iman Gadzhi", but there is a key difference:

Millions of followers.

While most people think that means Gadzhi is more successful than Tyson - and they may be right - others think this might be an intentional. After all, Lucas Lee Tyson only has a handful of videos on his YouTube page, and seems to enjoy laying low.

While some gurus like to share free training as a way to prove their authenticity and their desire to generally help people, Lucas reportedly tells his students not to show too much of what's inside their course.

While some say this may be a red flag - and it might be - there is a fair argument to creating more mystery and intrigue around what you have to offer.

On the other hand, it means the only way we can really know if his program is solid or not is going off reviews, and some of those are very unfriendly.

In spite of some of those reviews, Lucas Lee Tyson says that anyone is welcome to join Growth Cave.

Will Lucas become a seasoned guru one day? Maybe. We're just not sure if he's mature enough for it yet.

So, how much does Lucas Lee Tyson charge for his Growth Cave program?

Well, it's complicated. he doesn't really advertise the four separate courses he offers, but they vary considerably in cost and content.

We'll dig more into what each program contains later, but for now let's just dig into the cost:

Productized Profits

This one is Lucas' original course, his bread and butter, all about learning how to get businesses to pay you to boost their social media ad reach.

It appears this one used to cost $1,500 only a year or two back, but now costs $6,800...with a $149 monthly fee for software!

Knowledge Business Accelerator

This one is a weird one - it's actually a course about building courses!

Some students say the advertising is misleading, claiming you can make money off people's YouTube videos without making any of your own...but then, after you've paid, they reveal that you actually do need to make videos after all.

All in all, it can apparently become the most expensive course of Growth Cave's offerings. You'll start off paying $6,800 up front or $9,800 in installments, then one of the biggest upsells I've ever heard of will be offered to you:

A nearly $50,00 cost for a done-for you service called Digital Freedom Mastermind.

Cashflow Consultant Academy

CCA is a course where you are promised a consulting job when you "graduate" the academy...but it turns out you just cold-text companies.

Some people report a lower price of $4,000, but others report anywhere between $6,800 and $9,800 - and if you don't have the money, they'll push you to take out a loan at 30% APR...and that means your $9,800 payment will become a $19,000 cost.

Digital Freedom System

DFS is clearly the entry-level program, available at a low price of only $8.99 per month and an initial charge of $49 for something called AI Profits Masterclass.

Unfortunately, there isn't much more than surface-level info here, and this is basically a hook to get you pitched on courses ranging from $3-10k...

...it appears that Growth Cave will charge different rates based on what they can get out of students.

This is all considered fairly expensive if you consider the value provided by other Online Courses.

Straight up: these are some of the worst reviews I've ever seen on a course.

Some of the ones I've seen call Lucas Lee Tyson an outright liar, others say the material is decent but the upsells are too much and the coaching is bad...and some actually seem to like the program.

...so, is Growth Cave legit?

As many questions as there are about this program's legitimacy, there's something you can't deny about Lucas Lee Tyson: the kid knows how to make money. So there's certainly something he can teach you if he does it right.

But it's still worth asking: can he actually teach you the right way?

I think that it's probably best to move on to a different industry, where you can find a bunch of expert coaches willing to help you with more transparent programs.

Maybe Lucas Lee Tyson will get to the level of Digital Leasing in time, but he's not there quite yet.

Looking at Lucas Lee Tyson's Instagram page, he does look like he's doing very well for himself. A huge house, buying a Ferrari...

...but does he actually provide the right program for his students' needs?

Sometimes great rockstars don't make good music instructors, for example. It's not always a simple transition.

But as I said earlier, I've gone over digital marketing, email marketing, basically every industry out there...and I've got a pretty good idea of what the best qualities are for a program.

So...how do we find the right marketing course?

  • Ensure they are transparent with cost and course contents
  • Look for signs they've had success
  • See if the coaching and support community is strong

While Lucas has a lot of work to do, he is not the worst by any means. He's a skilled marketer, he just needs to work on the coaches under him - and improve transparency.

How about a quick 3 things I like about Growth Cave

  1. Lucas knows how to sell a course
  2. Helping businesses build leads is always a good option
  3. There will be social media around for the foreseeable future

...and, in all fairness, here are 3 things I don't really like:

  1. The private Facebook community has been removed
  2. When too many students try to push ads on Facebook, they run the risk of having their accounts banned.
  3. Consistency with coaches is important - and something GC lacks

PP is Lucas Lee Tyson's classic course, the one that sticks closest to his strengths and what he knows. As we mentioned, it took a major price hike recently, as the program has become dominated by upsells.

If you're gonna pay for one of Lucas' top high ticket offerings, this one might be the safest.

Module 1: Fundamentals And Foundations

This is where Lucas Lee Tyson emphasizes the importance of mindset, as seen in one lesson called "Uniform of Failure", where he criticizes the average Joe's habits and how they should live their lives instead.

This is something that might be useful for those just starting out as an entrepreneur, but probably won't move the needle for those just looking for information on local marketing training.

Module 2: Carving Out Your Niche And Irresistible Offer

The next step for PP's course is helping you find your niche.

This is where they get into the nitty gritty of marketing issues, talking about problems people have in the world of online business marketing.

Lucas Lee Tyson goes into the stereotypes some folks have when it comes to paid ads. He discusses:

  • Digital Advertising
  • Paid Traffic
  • Facebook ads
  • Google ads

Again, he hammers home the notion that without a niche, you don't have anything.

Module 3: Your Automated Client Attraction Machine

In this section, Lucas goes on about the different automation strategies you can use to get your clients' contact info - a classic marketing move. He says he recommends calling your clients, but he really says his main methods are sending cold-emails, Facebook messages, or LinkedIn DMs.

He says the more you use his template, the better success you'll have.

However, there's one big problem here: these aren't your "clients" yet. Lucas is telling you to cold-call a ton of people to try to get their emails and phone numbers, which is a very tricky method, and it's no wonder he uses misleading language here.

Module 4: The Science Of Sales And Client Conversion

"The customer needs you more than you need them", says Lucas Lee Tyson. He figures that they're going to need what you're selling, so don't feel desperate.

This module is all about actually getting on the phone with your potential clients and closing the deal - that's why his nickname for this part is "2 Call Closure".

He wants you to set up two calls with your target, so they don't feel overwhelmed by the information or feel pressured to give you a ton of money right away.

As you may guess, this part definitely scares some of his students. Many people don't like talking on the phone if they can type it out instead, and this part of the course probably means anyone who can't speak English fluently will not be a good fit for his course.

Anyway, if you stick around past this part, Lucas breaks down his approach and talks a lot about how good his methods are.

After all, his sale tactics got you to buy the course, right?

Module 5: Autopilot Service Delivery

Here's where Lucas goes over software like Google Sheets, Loom, and Zapier. Nothing too crazy, just discussion of tools for keeping your customers happy - and getting more of them.

He talks a lot about keeping things friendly with your clients, so that they'll stay with you and maybe even tell their friends about your good work.

Seems like an obvious thing to say, but hey, apparently there's a whole module for it.

Module 6: Automation, Systems, And Scaling

Lastly, this module is all about the fundamentals of "scaling to the next level."

This is industry-talk for making more money and moving up the ladder. If you're making a ton of money on profits and are losing time, he thinks you have to make a tradeoff at some point.

This makes a lot of sense to me - when people are on their deathbed, they don't wish they worked for that extra 5 bucks...they wish for more time.

So, Lucas suggests hiring a team - and conveniently enough, Lucas has a whole database of Virtual Assistants he can send your way for a fee. While these people usually don't speak English that well, they can sometimes get the little, annoying tasks done for a very low wage.

If you can cut out up to 80% of the nitty gritty stuff out of your schedule, imagine all the things you could get done. Spend time with family, friends, or maybe even find new, bigger ways to expand your business.

Bonus Automation Software

After you grind through all those modules, Lucas will offer you some software called "Clientbolt" which he says is necessary for getting more clients. You'll also join up with other students in a "Mastermind Community" where you may have some support along the way.

A couple problems here: one, the software is not optional and you'll have to pay extra if you want to continue, kind of like modern video games asking for more money after you already paid for it.

The other concern is that Growth Cave used to have a Facebook group where they had some oversight...it sounds like they didn't like the students' ability to ask concerned questions when struggling, so they moved to their own website where they can approve all the posts.

Knowledge Business Accelerator

"I signed up for Growth Cave's initial "Knowledge Business Accelerator "offering ($6,800) and subsequently done-for-you option (Digital Freedom Mastermind) in January 2023. Total paid was around $46,800. The marketing claims to expect $3,000 to $ 1 million monthly using their program and services.
However, I attended their live mastermind in Austin, TX on April 2023 after speaking with fellow attendees, NOT ONE person had generated any sales from their program, ZERO dollars in revenue from the ENTIRE GROUP."

What a quote.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a pretty wild concept for a course - it's a course that teaches you how to build a course...Course-ception?

It's not good that several reviews mention that the course is based on a misleading notion - Lucas mentions that you won't have to record any videos or sell the course yourself...but you will.

That's very bad.

Most people are scared of public speaking - even more scared than death itself!

That means that a lot of people have invested thousands of dollars into become a social media marketing guru without an ounce of charisma...and that's not gonna work out very well.

Factor in that the "done for you" service costs about $50,000, and it's easy to pass on this one.

Cashflow Consultant Academy

This course is all about learning how to become a consultant for businesses. The coaches claim that they will stick with students until they find a job placement...but thousands of dollars for something that sounds like it's far from guaranteed?

Not the best, especially at its high price.

Digital Freedom System

"I purchased Digital Freedom System for $8.99 Monthly and the AI Profits Masterclass for $49, began right away only to find out they have most modules locked. they really want you to get on a call to lure you into a coaching service worth thousands of dollars. I had an unpleasant call with a very dismissive person. I've emailed them repeatedly for a refund and their responses are arrogant and dismissive and they don't address any of what I ask in my emails. Stay away from this fraudulent company."

Again, you almost have to read it to believe it.

If you don't have thousands of dollars and want to see a glimpse of what Lucas Lee-Tyson is all about, then this is the pick for you.

However, if you were wondering why this was the only course that has a refund policy, it's because it's the only one that basically offers no useful information.

It's more or less used as a lead for an upsell, taking the place of where most gurus would just try to hook you with transparent, free YouTube videos.

Conclusion: Growth Cave Reviews

So, should you trust Lucas Lee-Tyson with your future?

It doesn't seem like it.

Sure, he might seem like the next Iman Gadzhi...but Gadzhi's been more successful and actually charges less for his program, so it doesn't seem wise to turn to Growth Cave with your future.

It's just not for everyone, and it carries extra risk and less freedom that lead generation doesn't deal with.

We think there is at least one opportunity that stands out in comparison...
