TLDR – Is There An Ecom Revolution Scam Going On Here?
Dropshipping is on its way out, which means a lot of people pay for courses expecting success like it’s 2017, but then it doesn’t work for them and they start searching up things like “Ecom Revolution scam”.
So, is Sebastian Esqueda really running a scam?
No, it’s just like I said – it’s harder than ever to succeed with dropshipping. But Sebastian certainly provides you with information and tactics to at least give you a chance out there.
His website lists out a bunch of benefits you’ll get from his program, and frankly, he seems like a mostly likeable dude with a good sense of what matters: instead of buying a fancy downtown condo, he now owns land from the profits he’s made over the years.
But it’s important to remember that he’s one of those “Shopify kids” from 2016-2017. Sure, they worked hard, but they also got in at basically the BEST time. Kinda like buying Bitcoin back in the day, although not as extreme.
It’s also worth noting that Sebastian not only makes money from selling courses on his Ecom Revolution website, but he also started working with another Sebastian (Ghiorghiu) on their “Conquer TikTok” and “Ecom Odyssy” sites, where they pitch free courses as a way to get students interested in paying to gain access to the paid versions.
In other words, Sebastian Esqueda doesn’t necessarily have to make a lot of money with his dropshipping business anymore – he can just sell courses about it.
If you’re really hellbent on giving dropshipping a try, then you can do a lot worse than Ecom Revolution…but why would you wanna settle for a bad business model?
You might as well take a look around and try to find a guru with experience like Sebastian, but running a business in an industry that’s got a ton of growth upside.
I recently found out about something called something called Digital Leasing, and you basically just set up pages online that draw clients in for local businesses, and those companies turn around and send you monthly cash for the service.
I like it because it’s consistent, and you actually help real businesses instead of selling low-profit-margin junk.
Their students seem extremely passionate about what they’re doing – not just getting by, but creating their own future.
That said, if you’d like to hear some more about my Ecom Revolution review, let’s keep on rolling.
Who Benefits From Ecom Revolution…And Who Should Avoid It?
Area | Score | Description |
---|---|---|
Time Investment | 2/5 | Easy to learn, hard to pull off these days. |
Level of Control | 2/5 | Amazon can ban you without warning. |
Ease of Implementation | 2/5 | Tricky to find the right suppliers, even tricker to make money. |
Profit Potential | 1/5 | You can get into price battles with Chinese sellers who can always afford to go lower. |
Ecom Revolution might be for you, if…
- You want a young, energetic guru who gets your struggle
- You like what you saw from his free YouTube stuff, and want more
- You’ve tried eCom programs before (like Skup) and enjoyed it
On the other hand, it probably doesn’t make sense to join up if…
- You don’t like the lack of control that comes with working on Amazon
- You’d like to see more student reviews before committing
- You’re not sure if dropshipping has too much competition or not

The Business Model
Sebastian Esqueda has a solid online presence with followers/subscribers, and has been doing this thing for a while…
…but it’s still dropshipping.
This business model hit some crazy heights between 2015-2019, but after 2020 things have been kinda falling off a cliff.
I think this is a mix of places like Amazon getting more strict, as well as 2020 forcing a ton of people to hustle online, so they all crammed into the same elevator…and now it’s over its weight limit.
I actually wrote a guide on how to start a dropshipping business, but realistically there are just so many better ways to score some financial freedom.
Basically dropshipping falls under the umbrella of eCommerce, which is fancy way of selling “I sell stuff on the internet”. Amazon, Shopify, and eBay are all examples of eCommerce hubs.
I will admit that I like the whole idea of not paying for storage or having to ever actually handle the physical products yourself like with Amazon FBA (which might be even worse)…but that also comes with its own risks.
If you’re not directly involved with maintaining quality, then you have to make sure your suppliers are all on top of their game and don’t mess anything up.
When you’re starting out selling products online, one or two bad reviews can crush your entire online store before you even get rolling. And then if someone sends back a product, you often have to navigate through multiple channels in order to make sure it’s all handled correctly – and then it’s on you to pay the person back.
All in all, it’s just a headache that you can avoid NOW instead of later.
Once you join up with something and put a bunch of money into it, you’re more likely to be stubborn and double down instead of cutting your losses.
If you’re reading this article, then the chances are you’re still weighing everything out, which is lucky for you. Instead of chasing a trend from the last decade, how about you try to find that next big thing before it gets too popular?
I really think local lead generation could be just that for you.
Who Is Sebastian Esqueda?
Sebastian Esqueda is a young man who started his dropshipping journey all the way back around 2016-2017.
Otherwise known as the best time to get into dropshipping!
Some people may not like his love of guns and fast cars, but it seems to be working for him and the type of hustlers who follow him across his various social media pages.
I do love that instead of living in a fancy downtown penthouse, he’s used his money to buy some land and live off it – something he can pass down to his family if he keeps doing well.
Lately, he’s been teaming up with another dropshipper, Sebastian Ghiorghiu, and seems to do be doing very well for himself.
How Much Does Ecom Revolution Cost?
I always appreciate transparency from gurus – it helps me as a researcher, as well as any students who wanna know exactly what they’re getting into.
While Sebastian does have free entry-level courses out there (specifically with his friend, the other Sebastian), this one will set you back $1,997 if you want more in-depth info than what’s on his YouTube channel.
What’s Ecom Revolution’s Refund Policy?
It looks like there is no refund policy for Ecom Revolution.
Once you hand over your money to the Sebastians, don’t expect to see it again!

So, is Ecom Revolution legit?
Well, it’s definitely not a scam or anything like that.
Sebastian Esqueda has made a bunch of money, and I’m sure his existing operations are doing okay…but realistically, most of these gurus are living off their courses instead of their Shopify Store in today’s day and age.
It’s just hard to start up unless you have personal Chinese supplier connections, or straight-up live in China to help improve your communication and reduce your costs.
Your competition will have almost a decade head start on you, and can always undercut your pricing without suffering nearly as bad of a loss as you will by trying to keep up with them.
Dropshipping just isn’t doing well in general, so I think you should keep looking for a guy with the hustle of Sebastian, but in a more up-to-date business model.
I’m gonna come back to the Digital Leasing local lead generation industry again…it’s got more upside, but way more stability.
I’ll take low-risk, high-reward over high-risk, low-reward any day of the week.
Personal Opinion On Ecom Revolution
So, how do we choose the right course?
- Make sure your mentor will fit with your energy
- Check to see if the business model still makes sense
- Ask yourself if you can see yourself having passion for this
Sebastian Esqueda seems like a decent kid who is evolving into a good marketer, but I’d love it if he moved away from dropshipping training into something better.
Let’s go over a quick 3 things I like about his program:
- Sebastian provides a lot of free content on YouTube
- He’s a young and hungry guy who I’m sure a lot of TikTok viewers like
- While he’s young, Sebastian has been doing this for a long time
…and, in all fairness, here are 3 things I don’t really like:
- No refund policy
- His “contest” operation with Sebastian G is just a gimmick
- Dropshipping is one of the worst business models out there
What’s Inside Ecom Revolution?
Sebastian Esqueda seems to be pretty transparent with his course. In fact, he lays out the entire curriculum, and you can be the judge to see if it covers things you’re interested in or not:
- Intro
- Mindset
- Product research
- Brand dominance
- Shopify infrastructure
- TikTok ads
- 7 figure case studies
- “Stuff nobody talks about”
Conclusion
So, should you pay up for Sebastian Esqueda’s Ecom Revolution?
Probably not.
The only way I could recommend doing that is if you really wanna try dropshipping no matter what – in which case, he seems like a solid guy.
But at the end of the day, my recommendation is to save yourself an uphill battle and make things easier on yourself.
Hunting down financial freedom is never easy, but some ways are easier than others…
…so check out my number 1 recommendation, and you can thank me later.
