For those of you who are here for a quick overview and want to know if Ecom Family Academy is legitimate, I've put together a brief list of the pros and cons—check it out below:

DISCLAIMER:

This Ecom Family Academy review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

PROS
  • Ecom Family Academy provides a thorough education on starting a print-on-demand business, which means you can do it even if you are a total beginner.
  • Mr and Mrs Ecom have been doing this for years, which means you get a tried-and-tested system.
  • The program guides you in connecting with print-on-demand companies to handle printing and shipping, which means you don't need to worry about inventory management.
CONS
  • The e-commerce and dropshipping landscape can change quickly due to market trends and algorithm updates on platforms like Shopify and social media, which means the information in the course may become outdated over time.
  • Stiff competition, which means you need to constantly lower your price or offer promos to get ahead.
  • In addition to the course fee, you'll need to budget for advertising costs, which means you need a buffer for Shopify subscription fees and possibly design software or outsourcing for graphics.

Why Listen To Us

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.why listen us

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

Anyway…

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to actually work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online (read about it here if you’re curious).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

why listen us gif

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  1. Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online

  2. Straightforward-ness of the system to do it

  3. Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

TLDR - Is The Ecom Family Academy Legit Way To Make Money Online?

Is The Ecom Family Academy Legit

For those of you who like quick answers, let's talk about whether you should join the Ecom Family Academy program.

My answer is no, I don't suggest going for Ecom Family Academy.

Even though Mr. and Mrs. Ecom are successful in their online business, it doesn't mean they're great at teaching.

They might be experts in running stores and making lots of money, but teaching beginners is a different skill.

I'm not saying they're trying to deceive anyone with Ecom Family Academy. What I mean is that there are other programs out there, in my opinion, that do a better job of teaching useful skills without relying on paid ads.

Starting an online store is a lot of work, from creating designs to managing your shop and promoting it. I would be careful about jumping into it without any guarantees of success.

Personally, I'd rather spend my time, effort, and money on something that can make me money without needing constant creativity.

If you want to know more about the program that helped me achieve that, check this out.

Who Benefits From The Ecom Family Academy & Who Should Avoid Mr & Mrs Ecom Reviews?

Ecom Family Academy Reviews

This evaluation of the Ecom Family Academy is based on a mix of opinions, personal experiences, and available information to help you make an informed decision.

If you meet the following criteria, the Ecom Family Academy may be suitable for you:

  • If you are already a digital artist looking to share your talent with the world through print-on-demand business.
  • If you already have a Shopify store and want to learn and explore marketing strategies such as advertising on platforms like Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, TikTok, and SEO for free traffic.
  • If you have an existing eCommerce store and want to add more products to your list.

Conversely, this program may not be the right fit if:

  • You want real value for money, as one Reddit commenter said on Mr and Mrs Ecom, "F*ck a course man. You can seriously learn everything you need on YouTube for free. All those courses are just regurgitated info from what you can already find for free if you look."
  • You want to try it out for a few days and probably change your mind later on. Some say it's impossible to get a refund. Like this one Tiktok user said: "Exactly!! Validation of his unethical practices!! Folks better heed my warning...will be struggling to get their refunds!"
  • You want a life outside this business, like this former dropshipper who was working 80-100 hours a week: "Once I had my baby it just wasnt worth it anymore."

Check out this program which allowed me to earn money online, while still enjoying time with family and doing the things I love.

The Ecom Family Academy Cost

The Ecom Family Academy Cost

The price to take the Ecom Family Academy course is $1,495, but the total cost to start your e-commerce business and have your own Shopify store is quite a bit higher than that.

Its cost is similar to Ecom Degree University price. If you want a cheaper alternative, you can check my Mikey Kass review.

Rachel Rofe reviews is also worth checking out.

Back to Ecom Family Academy: Take note that they have a disclaimer that you need to spend a minimum of $1,000 on paid ads.

One more thing, be careful on clicking "Sign Up Today." It will lead you directly to Paypal and if you're signed in on your device, it will automatically go through. It seems like they really mean it when they say, "get instant access!"

Personal Opinion

Let me share my personal thoughts. I've seen the course and have experience with print-on-demand, so here's what I think.

First, when you look for reviews like "Ecom Family Academy review" online, remember that many reviews are written by people who had a bad experience with the program.

This is called sampling bias. People who have a bad time are more likely to write reviews. You don't hear much from the successful folks who built their 6-figure businesses, except in public success stories.

Second, your mindset matters a lot when you join a program like Ecom Family Academy. If you think you'll get passive income without working hard upfront, you're mistaken. Passive income is possible, but it takes effort at the beginning.

Now, here's how I'd assess a print-on-demand program like Ecom Family Academy:

  1. The guru's real-world experience.
  2. Whether they provide coaching, like a private Facebook group.
  3. The value of the course material itself.
  4. How often does the course material get updated?

Ecom Family Academy Reviews: My Recommendation

In general, Ecom Family Academy is not a scam. Mr. and Mrs. Ecom seem genuinely interested in helping others find financial stability.

The fact that they're sharing their strategies shows they're real.

Is the Ecom Family Academy legit

However, remember that the e-commerce business is tougher than it might seem.

Here's my top 3 reasons why I would not recommend this business model to most people:

1. Limited Product Quality Control: In the world of dropshipping and print-on-demand, you often can't control the quality of your products. Some suppliers prioritize profits over quality. You're also stuck with the products your supplier offers.

If they don't have what you want, you can't sell it. To address this, research and find trustworthy suppliers known for quality products. Here, you'll always rely on them, which can be risky.

2. Minimal Customer Interaction: As a print-on-demand dropshipper, you only interact with customers when they make an order. Unlike physical stores, you don't build relationships with customers. This has two downsides:

  • It's hard to retain customers. In business, customer retention means turning buyers into loyal, repeat customers. Some big companies like Amazon, Apple, and Netflix have high retention rates. But as a dropshipper, you miss out on this.

3. Inconsistent Shipping Times: Running a print-on-demand business often means dealing with uncertain shipping times. You not only wait for your designs but also compete with other print-on-demand sellers in the queue.

Fast shipping is crucial for buyers, as studies show that most customers won't return to a store if their product arrives later than promised.

With digital leasing, you will never have to worry about these problems. If you want to learn more about the freedom that this program brings, you can join the community here.

Conclusion – To Buy, Or Not To Buy?

With lots of business models out there, print-on-demand will be last on my list.

Making money online should give you freedom and not overcomplicate your life. I want to be able to sleep at night without thinking about an angry customer, delayed shipping times, or a supplier delivering poor-quality products.

Though I love receiving personalized mugs and shirts as gifts, selling them is another story.

So no, I don't recommend buying Ecom Family Academy.

Still want to start print-on-demand? No problem! I will gladly give you a primer on dropshipping niches that work well for this business model.

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Leasing

I have spent years researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

Why?

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With a print-on-demand business, you don’t really own anything. A piece of art you created and put so much value on might have a thousand copycats the moment you put it out there.

You have no control over anything. You don’t even own the products because they go straight from the supplier to the customer. What's worse? Some people might sell it cheaper, and you have no choice but to face defeat.

Yes, if you’ve got a Shopify store, you technically own that. But if every ad platform shuts you down, you’ve got a store with no customers. Which is literally worthless.

With Digital Leasing, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket...even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.

4) No Inventory: Ok, so technically you don’t have to worry about inventory since this is print-on-demand.

But, you still have all the headaches of a physical products business—supplier problems, shipping delays, refunds and returns, etc.

If you are using third-party platforms like ShineOn, CustomCat, Gearbubble, or Pillow Profits, certain rules might affect your shipping times.

Imagine finally landing your first customer after months of experimenting, and then getting hit with a refund request or chargeback because they had to wait six weeks to get their order.

With Digital Leasing, a 100% online business, you never even have to think about that risk.

5) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with dropshipping, you’d have to double your inventory, your profit margins, OR your average order value. And, guaranteed that’s a lot harder than a few clicks and a few minutes of your life.

6) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. 99.9% of the time, dropshipping provides no value to anyone but the seller.

In a lot of cases, it has a negative impact on the customer because of poor product quality and an overall bad experience (i.e. waiting 6 weeks to get your order).

And that makes it pretty hard to sleep at night.

But with Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either...a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Ecom Family Academy which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
