Chance Welton’s Modern Millionaires program is an ad agency course.
The basic premise is that you’ll learn how to build your own ad agency, land clients, and get them results.
Running an agency (even though they’re a bit of a commodity nowadays) isn’t a bad way to get your feet wet in the world of online business.
That said, there are a lot of moving parts with this business model:
- Prospecting – you need to know how to find potential clients
- Sales – you need to know how to convince those clients to give you money
- Media Buying – you need to know how to run ads profitably
- Copywriting – you need to know how to tailor your ad messaging for the right customers
- Design – you need to know how to design ads/landing pages to maximize conversions
- Email Marketing – you need to know how to follow up with prospects and customers
- Automation – you need to know how to connect everything properly
Now, most course-sellers will try to make this easier on you by telling you they’ve managed to “automate everything”, offering “plug-and-play” campaigns, and “pre-built templates”.
Here’s the thing though:
Markets are always changing.
They get more savvy as time goes on.
If you buy a program with thousands of other students, where everything is built out for you, there’s an almost 100% chance those templates don’t work.
Because if thousands of other students are using those exact same “plug and play” campaigns, tens of millions of people have already seen them, reducing their effectiveness.
Not to mention, with most agency programs, the templates are actually built by some virtual assistant in the Philippines or India, and have never actually been tested in real life.
And if they have, there’s a good chance they’re extremely outdated, since most programs don’t bother updating their templates after launching. The course creator gets too busy just trying to sell to more and more students, instead of focusing on quality education.
Now, here’s the most sinister part of this whole thing:
Most course creators market their agency courses as something you can do anywhere in the world. You might hear them say things like “The world is my office” or “This is a simple passive income business”.
That’s just plain false.
Running an effective agency is in no way passive. Look at the list above, and remember that you can’t rely on pre-built templates. You’re responsible for every part of the process.
Does that really sound like a business you can do from a laptop on the beach?
See how this could be a problem?
Now, what if there was a way you could build a passive income stream that’s actually passive?
An income stream that doesn’t require:
- Mastering 100 different roles
- Needing to be a technology wizard
- Working around the clock just to keep things from blowing up
An income stream that brings in consistent revenues every single month (from a couple thousand dollars to well over $10,000)?
An income stream you could actually build in your spare time, and grow as large or as small as you want to, without having to spend hours a day chasing, selling, or managing anything?
If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, check out Digital Real Estate.
However, if you’d still like to know more about Chance Welton, keep reading.
Who Is Chance Welton?
Chance Welton started his own marketing business, Beachwood Marketing, in the year 2014.
But it looks like both Abdul and Chance have been focusing on their big moneymakers, which are their courses, beginning with Millionaire Middleman, then adding the “masterclass” of Officeless Agency, and eventually rebranding Millionaire Middleman as Modern Millionaires.
Usually when someone has found a formula for success, they don’t keep changing their brand’s name…unless they’re trying to hide something, perhaps?
Chance’s Google Ads adwords training is okay, but to run a successful business you need more than just a few examples of vague concepts – like so many online courses often provide.
You need to really master driving lead-nurturing traffic.
It seems as if Chance has done alright for himself, but let’s see if what he offers actually provides value to you.
What Is Modern Millionaires?
Modern Millionaires isn’t all that different from the other money-making alternatives available on the internet. It is yet another online course that teaches students how to effectively manage an internet-based business.
The business model that will be taught to you here is lead generation. While it may seem to be complicated, it is really much easier than it appears.
You earn money by bringing in leads (or clients) for small businesses. In the case of Modern Millionaires, you’ll be shown how to use Google and Facebook paid ads to generate leads.
Being a lead generation expert makes you more appealing to business owners, and they will request your services on an ongoing basis. And it’s for a variety of reasons:
Most of them don’t know how to sell themselves effectively.
And if they do, they simply won’t have time to plan their marketing strategy and would prefer to hire someone else to do it.
Many businesses who try to run Facebook ads or YouTube ad don’t know what they’re doing and wind up unhappy since they spent millions, all to waste.
Furthermore, although Facebook ads and Google ads are undoubtedly more costly than SEO, they bring a number of advantages that make them preferable such as increased visibility, a greater conversion rate, and a variety of additional benefits.
However, after looking through some online customer reviews, it appears like this particular lead generation program has some major issues. The Men Behind Modern Millionaires (aka Officeless Agency)
A two-man team produced Modern Millionaires: Chance Welton and business partner Abdul Farooqi.
Abdul and Chance both seem to be successful digital entrepreneurs. They claim to have run many businesses with yearly earnings in the seven figures.
However, it remains unclear if they really got wealthy using the lead generating tactics taught in their courses.
Based on their aggressive marketing, they may have just grown wealthy by duping others into purchasing their online course. It’s hard to tell.
Who Is Abdul Farooqi?
Abdul founded his marketing agency, SAMAD CONSULTING INC. dba Lions Digital Solutions, in 2013 after participating in a lead generation coaching program.
Prior to that, he had a variety of financial jobs after his graduation from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce.
What Kind Of Business Model Does Modern Millionaires Use?
As previously mentioned, lead generation is the business model you’ll learn about in Modern Millionaires.
The whole purpose of this course is to teach you how to gain clients particularly via PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising that you may run on Google and Facebook.
They teach you about landing pages. This is one of the initial steps in the ad creation process.
Abdul offers a tip for locating the best landing pages available: if they have ads, you can locate them on Google. Once you’ve done that, his recommendation is to examine them and improve upon them.
If you do this, you can figure out how to beat them if you’re in the same market.
When it comes to Facebook advertisements, Abdul walks you through the whole process, from creating ads to consistently optimizing them so they continue to convert for you.
What’s Inside The Modern Millionaires Program?
When you apply for Modern Millionaires, you will be offered three package options. The goal of these three packages is to let users choose what is best for their business requirements.
According to Modern Millionaires, each package provides the same opportunity for you to start your own marketing agency. The three packages advertised on the program, as well as their inclusions, are given below.
This package, as the name implies, is for people who wish to build their own agency from the ground up. This will only give the training and coaching that you need for this.
You will get access to the following items as part of this package:
1. Training modules lasting four weeks
2. Access to a private Facebook group
3. Online assistance available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
4. Mentoring calls every day (although it seems to be less now)
5. Modern Millionaires Advertising System
6. MM Funnels
7. Automated Lead Nurturing by Modern Millionaires
This is for folks who still wish to establish their own internet-based business but may want some online support from the company. The company will coach constant accountability in order to keep things running smoothly.
This bundle includes everything from the previous DIY packages, as well as some new items:
1. Participation in a 90-day agency boot camp
2. A personal coach who will work with you to establish your agency.
3. Two 3-hour calls with your coach every week.
4. Ongoing accountability and coaching that is tailored to you and your industry.
This package is for the individual who has the means to create a second source of income but lacks the daily hours to put it up and make it profitable on their own.
As you may expect from this package, you will not get any training or coaching. Because everything is essentially “done for you.”
Here are some of the things you simply need to do to have your online business up and running with this package: create your brand, create your agency site, choose your niche/industry, create your marketing platform, implement a customer acquisition system. obtain your first client, and establish the first fulfillment system.
Modern Millionaires Modules
Module 1: The Foundation
Within the 1st part, everything is kept simple and beginner friendly. You are going to learn exactly how to start your business from scratch.
The primary focus because of this module is going to be on choosing your niche and also creating your agency site (including purchasing your domain name). This domain name is vital in getting clients.
Also, there’ll be a considerable amount of discussion on being in the proper state of mind for operating a business.
Essentially, this particular module is about providing you with the inspiration that you simply need to have to be successful in starting an online business.
Module 2: Prospecting And Sales
It’s in module two that they begin to get into the meat and potatoes of their program. Here’s a brief overview.
This module is kickstarted with a breakdown of what prospecting truly is. When that’s out of the way, you will learn the right way to research the market you wish to work in and learn a little bit about the way an internet CRM works.
The second part is extremely significant since your entire business model is constructed around prospecting the client and generating leads; and how you can control them.
After that, they talk a little bit about how cold emailing works. This is something that’s uncommon to find in other courses like it.
Many actually ignore the entire cold emailing thing.
Therefore, I see this as a benefit from the simple fact that the Modern Millionaires Course is prepared to discuss much more special methods to produce leads.
You’ll likewise find out how to prospect with LinkedIn, how to take payments, and also how you can finalize deals with clients that you’ve picked up.
The training skims over the offer finalization part, which happens to be a disappointment because this whole business model does fall back on sales and your ability to get your current clients to spend more with you.
This may be hard in case your sales game isn’t on point.
Module 3A: Driving Traffic With Google Ads
This is definitely where the meat on the course is. In this particular module, as the title indicates, you’ll learn how you can use Google Ads to generate traffic and in turn, leads.
This is most likely the most in-depth module I’ve seen so far on Google Ads, and the powerful duo leaves no stone unturned in coaching you are shown exactly what you need to know to produce leads from it.
You’ll likewise find out about exactly how Google Analytics works into the puzzle that is starting your own business successfully.
Module 3B: Driving Traffic (Facebook)
This mini module is very much the same as the main module, just this time; you’re going to be utilizing Facebook Ads to produce leads instead.
The last module brings the previous two modules together.
In this lesson, you will learn the right way to develop those leads and, ideally, hand those off to business owners that will be a paying client for you.
Module 4: Auto-Pilot
The last module teaches all the automations you can put in place to make this passive. This talks about getting employees, training them, and so on.
Unlike other courses and programs that tell you to run the business yourself for a while before automations, Chance and Abdul encourage you to outsource as soon as you can.
I have mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, I think outsourcing is good and ultimately the end goal for anyone so they can have that time freedom they desire.
On the other hand though, I do think it’s valuable to run your business and know it inside and out before putting automations in place.
I am also weary of potential upsells being the reason why they push you to outsource. I imagine they might want you to outsource to them through their own white label agency.
Leading to even more money in their pocket.
At the end of the day though, I want to believe they have the students best interest at heart.
What Does The Internet Have To Say?
Let’s hear what some folks have to say about their experience:
“Extremely disappointed, angry, in debt, and just in need of help. Starting with the ads; every single one of us was lured in with ads that are EXTREMELY misleading, promising a VERY profitable, untapped market that youd have to be an idiot to hop on board. Im young and newly in the military as a pilot for the Air Force.
I had JUST moved to Vegas and into a new apartment in Vegas (not by choice) when I spoke to the salesman on the phone. I was desperate for a side job with the moving expenses and the brand new extremely high cost of living I was now in. 5k is not affordable to someone like me. I was in SHOCK when I heard this but the man on the phone kept insisting that all you need is a little time to start and youll be set in 3 months!
I distinctly remember trying to back out on the phone about 5 or 6 phones but the salesman kept pressuring me. I regrettably went thru with it and immediately started scouring the internet looking for refunds and cancellations. Didnt find a thing. I tried to convince myself that it wasnt a mistake. I come to find out I have to pay MORE. I continue searching for refund answers and today I am FINALLY seeing legitimate reviews on BBB.
I see the SAME EXACT complaints of ***** and extremely pushy salesmen who disguise themselves as encouraging mentors. I also see many many people were offered a cancellation or refund policy. This was NEVER mentioned for me. I am working around the clock to serve the country. Im extremely in debt now. Please I am begging, just stop the payments. Cancel everything. I dont need a refund. Please just help me out of this hole. This kind of debt can end a career. Please help a young service member and please dont do this to any others. I want the cancellation I looked everywhere for that these people were offered.”
Not a great start! Next up we found a long one, but the people of Reddit have actually questioned whether Chance or Abdul actually wrote it themselves:
“Does anyone commenting have actual experience with the program? If not, all the other opinions are just a guess. I’ve dug deep on other threads in reddit and found one person that replied and said they paid for the program and were satisfied. They noted that you still have to put in the work and success is not guaranteed.
Here’s that thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/egibyl/anyone_heard_of_the_modern_millionaires_husband/
Control F for “dedpeepl”, that user is the satisfied customer. I know, not the most comforting reddit handle but who am I to talk 🙂 What I noticed is that Mr./Ms. dedpeepl was calm and professional in his/her discussion, which can’t be said for those criticizing the program.
I’ve looked at the program and done a considerable amount of due diligence so far. That includes 3 phone calls with a company representative (who is also a satisfied user and admittedly a personal friend of one of the founders, Abdul) as well as searching the internet and Reddit.
So far everything has checked out. When asked the rep more detailed questions about his experience and the business he’s been able to build he has provided me with detailed answers. I’ve tried to make my questions unpredictable and detailed enough that the responses could not simply be drawn from a script. For example, I asked the rep when he started his business, how long it took to get his first client, what mistakes he made early on, how many clients he has right now and how that has fluctuated over time, how many hours per week he works and how that’s changed over time, fixed monthly overhead costs not included in the cost of the program, how his revenue has changed over time, and the name of his business and website. I also asked him why he would serve as a program ambassador if he was making so much money (from 5k month 2 months after starting to 20k month about 1 year later)? He said that after he gained experienced and built the model for his business (including delegating work to virtual assistants) he was able to actually reduce his hours (from 20 to 25 hours a week to 10 to 15 a week) and he wants to be more involved with the Modern Millionaire company in the future.
Over the course of 3 half-hour+ phone calls I haven’t heard anything that would make me think he’s lying or reading from a script. I guess it’s possible but it would have to be an elaborate scheme. Also, he hasn’t tried to “close” me hard. Only asked once at the end of calls 2 and 3. Otherwise, the tone of the discussion is more about providing information and being available to help with onboarding should I choose to move forward.
Having said all that, I agree 100% that the marketing of being a “millionaire” and working 15 hours a week seems too good to be true, and most likely is. Now, if I can work 15 hours a week and create a second income of 4 or 5k a month, I’d be very happy with that.
Last thoughts: People that call the program a ponzi or MLM simply don’t know what they’re talking about and you can disregard that criticism. If you do the diligence as I have you’d know that what you are paying for is a detailed blueprint for learning how to sell google ads, fb ads and insta ads. And access to coaching and networking resources like a fb group and weekly calls with other participants and the coaches. That’s it. They’re not promising you returns on your investment (ponzi) or suggesting that you need to sign up others to profit (MLM). You are investing in education and a support network. The rest is on you. Sure, they are marketing the program as “modern millionaires” which I guess is misleading but to me, that’s the too good to be true part. If it were named “modern work from home and make solid to very solid money” then that would probably be more accurate. But it wouldn’t sell :)”
Like I said, probably a BS review from someone who works for Chance. Let’s do one more for the road:
“SCAM! Stay away from this business. For credibility purposes, I am a trusted professional with 13 years of supply chain experience at globally recognizable food brands. I have been active in the program since 2/23/2022 – 7 months.
There is gross under-investment in resources in terms of support – period. Secondly, customers cannot trust this business because they provide one cost of a program to one person, and the range is costs varies greatly. Over time, the same product has been sold in the range of $5K to $15K. Thirdly, what I was sold was not the product I received. Why? What I received was a promise of a great program.
There is a big sense of “set it and forget it” to their customer service. Similar to the sales approach they teach. Everyone with questions is sent to a FB page.Again, heavy sales tactics, quick sign up, lots of people available for that, however once there are questions, support needed, request for refund and cancellation, no support is available. In my experience, after 7 months of working in the program I was so frustrated with the lack of support vs. the amount I am paying for this service and I deemed it totally BOGUS.There are so many red flags… trust your gut here. They expect customers to invest more into the program than originally advertised, (hundred of dollars per month), and these costs are not discussed up front.
My personal experience: There is only 1 employee from MM who will handle cancellations and contract terminations. This person told me I could give the program more time, and then if I still feel I want to cancel, I could. After spending four additional months in program ($4K per month) and still feeing it wasn’t for me. I discussed cancelling the program and was told by the same person that it was never said. In an attempt to control it’s customers the company is utilizing tactics such as gaslighting. RED FLAG. THIS IS A SCAM.”
Is Modern Millionaires A Scam?
The business models Chance and Abdul are teaching is legitimate, therefore I wouldn’t be surprised if some of their students become successful.
So, is Chance Welton and his company a scam?
I mean, you probably COULD make money with his program…
It’s just not our #1 choice.
Because Digital Real Estate has taken the lead generation model and put it on steroids. It innovates on every part of the business model and makes it so accessible that pretty much anyone can succeed at it.
What if you could put in a couple hours a day (in your spare time) to build a single digital asset, and your reward was a $500 to $2,000 payment that came in every single month?
And what if you could get started today and have your first payment in a week?
And what if you could double it next week?
Well, that’s the power of Digital Real Estate.
You can legitimately do this from anywhere. It’s a true lifestyle business.
Your laptop and an internet connection is all you need.
Some of the most successful students in this program run their entire 6-figure businesses from:
- A camper in the middle of the woods
- A beach chair on the water in Mexico
- A small villa in Greece
They’re able to travel around, living their lives first, and focusing on their income second.
Because even if they stop working for an extended period of time, the money keeps coming in.
So adventure, memories, and experience are the top priority.
And they never have to worry about how to pay for the next trip, or consider asking for time off.
If this sounds more like the type of life you want to lead, just click here to find out more about Digital Real Estate.
How Much Do Chase Welton’s Courses Cost?
According to their webinar, they currently have 3 different pricing tiers.
The first pricing tier is what they call their “DIY Package”.
This package is listed for $7,995.
In this package you’ll receive all the training videos, access to the private Facebook group, and livestreams.
You will not get one on one coaching however and are left to “do it yourself” as the name suggests.
The second pricing tier is what they call their “DWY Package”.
This package is listed for $12,995.
In this package you’ll receive everything you do with the DIY package, but additionally you’ll receive some smaller, more private group coaching from one of Chance and Abdul’s coaches.
This however, is still not one on one coaching and earns the term “done with you” as the name implies.
Their 3rd and final pricing tier is what they their “DFY Package”.
This package is listed for $19,995.
In this package you’ll get everything from the first two packages plus one on one coaching from a coach assigned to you by Chance and Abdul and the opportunity to sell their Leadific SaaS product by getting leads they generated, sent straight to you to close. They claim 10-30 calls per week.
So what do I think about all this?
Well to be honest, the pricing is fairly steep. And even at the highest pricing tier, you still do not get one on one coaching from Abdul and Chance themselves.
That is certainly disappointing in my opinion.
Instead, you are handed over to a coach that is promoted as someone who has their own agency that earns 10k per month…but there is not exactly any confirmation on that.
If they do run their own 10k per month agency and have decided to coach you, that’s great, but there is also the chance that they are just people hired by Chance and Abdul to hold your hand no different than college professors do.
And you know the old saying…
“Those who can’t do, teach”.
Ultimately my main issue with these different levels of pricing is that NONE of them provide that one on one interaction with Chance and Abdul.
You see them on the front end of their ads. Is that the last time you’ll ever see them?
It looks like you’re completely out of luck if you want a refund from Chance Welton or Modern Millionaires.
Are There Alternatives to Modern Millionaires?
Yes, there are plenty of other business models to choose from if you want to pursue this making money online. Here are just a few:
What Is Our Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2023?
Our review team has spent months researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.
While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:
Digital Real Estate is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.
Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Real Estate is for you.
1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full-time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Real Estate business.
And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.
Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.
This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.
2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: Unlike other lead generation models, Digital Real Estate gives you full ownership over every single asset, which means you have all the power and all the control.
3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Real Estate with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket…even before you do any work.
Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.
4) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).
Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.
Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.
5) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. With Digital Real Estate, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:
Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Real Estate, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.
You make money by helping them make money.
Not a big, faceless corporation either…a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.
Once you see how Digital Real Estate makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.
Now, the choice is yours.
You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Modern Millionaires which could one day make you money.
You could continue researching, never making a decision.
OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Real Estate.
A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.
All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.
