So, is Anton Kraly’s program a scam? 

Not technically.

You can make money with this program, but it’s definitely not as easy as the Dropship Lifestyle Course makes it sound.

There’s a ton of work to be done upfront, no real guarantee of success, and – most importantly – you need to do a ton of volume to make any real money.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.

But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months, $3-5k in the hole on ads (because that whole “get started with $5 a day” thing is total BS) and then your reward is 15% profit on a $12 product (which comes out to $1.80), it’s not really worth it.

Dropshipping Appears To Be Dead

I’m sorry that we have to end this Drop ship Lifestyle review with an obituary…but at least dropshipping has had a successful run.

Today, making a profit is infinitely more complex, with margins of only 15% at best. It certainly wasn’t as good as it once was.

Particularly with escalating PPC prices and the crushing efforts of Amazon and Wal-Mart on dropshippers – either cutting down the pages entirely, or at least cutting their profits in half.

That’s not to say drop shipping is impossible, it’s a valid business model as all you’ve done is outsourced logistics, but if you come to it with this dream of doing nothing and making massive amounts of money then I got some bad news for you. That’s not how it works. The only people that make it are ones that work hard, likely harder than a regular retail shop as you got multiple suppliers to deal with rather than just your own warehouse that you control.”

Step 1: Niche Selection

Your first step is choosing a niche. This is probably the most difficult part, get it wrong and you are doomed from the start. Will Anton help you? A little but you are mostly on your own. Why? Because if he told everyone to drop ship hammocks then everyone would drop ship hammocks and the market would be saturated (not that it is’nt already).

Step 2: Market Research

You do a few web searches, make a few phone calls and cross your fingers.

Step 3: Create Your Website

You know, the sort of website that you come across when searching for a Canon DSLR camera and you find them unfathomably cheap on SLRHut.co.uk

Why is it so cheap? This is a drop shipping store, the product is cheap because your camera is a grey import. This is the type of website that attracts bad reviews just because it is not well known or trusted

This is the type of website that you will be creating.

Why do most companies pay good money for web design? Because they want a good website. If you have no experience creating websites, your will probably look very amateur. You expect people to buy high value items from an amateur looking website.

As for a URL, Good luck (or ‘chok dee’ as they now say in your local coffee shop) getting something half decent that hasn’t been taken.

Step 4: Get Approved With Drop Ship Suppliers

This is incredibly difficult. If you are in US you may have a lot of options, outside of the US you will likely have very few. Manufacturers and retails don’t want to deal with amateurs, so if you tell them that you are new and live in Chiang Mai they will politely tell you to F off, so you have to tell little white lies.

Step 5: Optimize For Conversions

After choosing a niche, this is the second hardest part of drop shipping. It is something that Anton emphasises when selling his course but in reality offers little in the way of advice.

So how do you get people to buy you product? Remember that we are selling high value items, this is now a clear mistake because nobody will trust your new website.

How do you improve buyer confidence? Add lots of ‘trust guard’, ‘security scanned’, ‘authorised dealer’ stickers all over your website? Very professional. You don’t have an office so you can use your home address and hope nobody will Google it. You can use the address of your supplier, bending the truth a little. Maybe do a Google search for ‘warehouses’ and add the first picture you find onto your ‘about us’ page.

What else do you put on the ‘about us’ page? Again, you bend the truth slightly or make-up a story. Drop shipping is built on bending the truth.

Also, your products have no reviews, maybe make-up a few? Who will ever know.

How else do you inspire confidence in the customer? You add a telephone number to your site. What now? You either have to stay awake from 22:00 to 07:00 in your $200 a month Chiang Mai condo drinking Doi Chaang bulletproof coffee made using your AeropressTM (affiliate product link) waiting for the phone to ring or you out-source.

Paying someone who is available for 50 hours a week to answer the phone is expensive. And why train someone else? Who knows more about your products than yourself? You do know your products, right? Or did you just click copy and paste them onto your website? When someone phones your store to buy a massage table they expect to speak to John the expert therapist with 10 years of experience, not Teresa a retired babysitter.

Another option is to have a voicemail service, buy 75% of the time, the customer will hang-up and not leave a message.

Step 6: Get Traffic

This will keep you up at night (assuming that you are not up already waiting for the phone to ring) and make you want to tear your hair out. You pump money into advertising with the expectation that more money spent = more sales. This doesn’t happen. What do you do? If you don’t pay for advertising nobody will find you. Don’t forget the money you are paying for shopify, web hosting, Teresa.. All on top of your initial $997 ‘investment’. Do you keep putting money into something that took months to create? Letting go of an idea is incredibly difficult.

The simple truth is that drop shipping is very hard work and most drop shipping websites fail. Will yours be different? What skills do you have to succeed? Johnny FD will tell you that anyone can do it. Sure, Johnny FD is a great salesman and motivational speaker but should you buy from him? Probably not.

It is very easy to find websites created by other drop ship lifestyle users because most people follow Anton’s guidelines word for word. He gives you templates for the ‘about us’ and ‘shipping & returns’ sections of your store.
