Compared to the other modules it feels like this one just goes on forever!

ASM Module 1: Finding The Perfect Product

In this module, Rich explains why branding is more important than just selling stand alone products.

After that, he dives into their research method called “the hot product opportunity”…basically just 7 characteristics you’re going to wanna make sure your product in mind hits.

One of the characteristics he mentions is making sure it fits in a top level category…not a sub category.

It’s not a bad place to start…but if you don’t focus on your target audience the most…you’re product sales will be short lived.

Honestly, if you’re brand new to this, Rich’s lesson on product opportunity in this first module will be extremely beneficial.

Some members of our team have even tried, albeit the products they sold well initially aren’t really doing all that hot today.

Ultimately it’s a great first week of training…but only a beginner method. The heavy hitters of FBA today are focusing more niche audiences and sell really exclusive sourced products.

ASM Module 2: Testing Suppliers And Samples

Even though Rich did a great job kinda going over some common sense stuff when it comes to branding, we definitely think he could’ve easily added a more in-depth training that teaches sellers how to find sources that aren’t overran with other Amazon sellers.

He mentions nothing about how you could go to the local businesses in town and tell them about your skillset and help make some extra sales for ’em.

There are a number of different advantages when you have a source that is unique to other sellers, and targets a precise group of people (like those with stuffy noses).

1. It’ll make it difficult for you competition to replicate…it’s not like they’ll be able to go on Alibaba, rip, and rebrand the same product you did!
2. Your starting point for Facebook ads and Amazon Sponsored ads is now clearer than ever…you can use the Amazon Marketing System to reach out to those in desperate search of how to get relief of their stuffy nose!

On top of that…

People want to know their purchases are coming from reliable sources…it helps when it’s coming from a neighborhood grocery store!

ASM Module 3: Ordering Inventory

This module covers the supplier selection process and Rich shows you how to create a framework for an Amazon product listing.

Rich focuses on two main things here:

• Picking the best sample
• Getting your product listing started

Rich gives you a bunch of information and proper steps to take when checking out product samples.

He also holds your hand through setting up an item entry in Amazon Seller Central, showing you how Amazon will approve it without any real struggle.

As far as successful amazon instructors go, Rich really proved his weight in gold with this module. Very few people can explain things in such a clear way like he can.

He even shows you why it’s important to enter as very little info as possible at first, very few Amazon “gurus” are aware of why that’s vital in the process.

ASM Module 4: Building The Brand

Just like real businesses, you need to build a brand…and they show you exactly how to do so with social media. You'll also learn about the Amazon branding tool suite for you own brand.

Honestly, this module really could be improved.

Many of the social media strategies that are taught here are basic…we would have loved to see tactics that were more high level and beyond that of common knowledge when building a brand online.

They could have at least given a 90 day content push strategy so that you could get a foothold in the algorithms. Gary Vee has some great ideas for this…surely they could have provided something similar to give Amazon Sellers the leg up on competition.

ASM Module 5: The Perfect Product Page

In Module 5, Rich goes over the 8 different characteristics of a great product listing and how you can create it.

For what it's worth, my personal experience with Matt Clark is that he's an asshole, but the course is pretty well laid out. It's certainly not a scam. It's nothing that you can't find yourself, but there's value in having it all in one place, so it depends on how much you value that. The biggest value though is in the Facebook group because they have paid mentors to help you along. If you join any of the free groups online, you're usually interacting with other beginners, which is not really what you want."

"Not impressed anymore by these guys. I did ASM4 and went to various events, but I feel they have been super unreasonable about the "upgrade" to the in person event that got cancelled. I paid for a VIP ticket in 2020, and they promised this would be replaced by a virtual event and an event in person in 2023. I can't make the 2023 event and now they won't refund me anything. If I knew this would have happened, I would have NEVER paid for two VIP tickets back in 2020. Terrible way to treat a long time customer. Their customer service was really patronizing and completely inflexible. Be careful with what they "promise". They kept saying that the replacement 2023 event was a free upgrade - which is ridiculous. They basically took a whole bunch of my money which was supposed to be for an in person event and then just gave me a lame "virtual event" in place of that. I'm sorry guys, but you just lost a long term customer. Wouldn't recommend you anymore."
